Yeah, anyone saying Em washed JID is gassing up for no reason. This was a sick collaboration. They both did their thing and made it fire. One of my fav tracks on the album. Definitely my fav collab aside from Marshall/Shady collabs. It doesn't always have to be a competition. Just enjoy the track as a whole, the entire piece of art. This song would not have had the same vibe without JID, and Em brought it home.
Jid did good but this wasn’t even close. When two lyricists get on a track together its always a competition in this unspoken manner. You can appreciate the music and acknowledge the competition. Em acknowledged it look how he spitting lol

The closest I personally have ever seen and believed had a better verse than Em was Black Thought on Yah Yah. No one can wash em but I have the edge to Black Thought on that verse. This was JID understanding the assignment and showing up like Royce does a lot.

eminem washed JID . his verse is way too layered multiple quad and quintuple entendres and schemes and hes rhyming crazy bending cadences and syllables talking about real life events . JID was rhyming and Flowing amazingly but the bars in conjunction with all of what he was doing was lacking he was only doings doubles ever other line eminem did all the above and showed no weakness
I think Eminem outperformed JID but I don’t think he washed him. You don’t have to have punchlines/ metaphors to have a great verse. There are a lot of ways to skin a cat.
I think JID knew that he wasn’t gonna outbar Eminem so he chose a different way to kill the verse and it worked!

I don’t see this as head to head at all. JID did his thing with a beautiful musicality and bounce to his voice. Very appealing to the ear. As far as Eminem, I actually preferred JID initial bar compared to it, but then he mentioned P Diddy and then took it up to another level with the alliteration and then switched the cadence when the next verse came on with the snare. Em took it to the stratosphere
