Poland is a country in the east of Europe, is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, in addition Poland has a very interesting history! The history of Poland begins with the appearance of the first people there - Neanderthals, but over a long period of time they were forced out of Europe by Cro-Magnons - the ancestors of modern humans. About 5000 years B.C. different ethnoses began to form, on the territory of modern Russia and Ukraine the Slavic ethnos was formed, which soon spread to the territory of Poland. In the 10th century the Kingdom of Poland was formed from Polish tribes. When the time came to adopt a state religion, the Polish king chose between Catholicism and Orthodoxy, but stopped at the first. Poland's closest neighbor, Rus, chose Orthodoxy, so a chasm was formed between the brotherly countries.
During the Mongol invasion Russia disintegrated, at which time Poland took advantage of the moment and annexed Galicia-Volhynia Rus. A new state was formed in the neighborhood - the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. A new threat was looming over both countries - the Teutonic Order! The Union between Poland and Lithuania was formed, which defeated the Teutonic Order. Soon, after constant wars between the Muscovite principality and the Lithuanian principality, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was formed. The country was the largest in Europe, in troubled times in Russia Poland took advantage of the moment and took the royal throne, but did not last long and Russia was ruled by the Romanov dynasty, which soon and destroyed the Polish union. In the 19th century, Poland was under the control of the Russian Empire and gained independence only after the end of the Second World War.

Sorry to say that, but there are a few mistakes:
1. Poland was created circa 962, and baptism of Mieszko I took place in 966.
2. The Union of Krewo, which took place in 1380, was just the declaration of political and military cooperation between Poland and Lithuania. They became one country, The Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, after the Union of Lublin in 1569.
