Thank you Beans for showing us how the Guinness World Records books go together to form a picture. We had totally missed that! We have been collecting the series since 2006, and were a little disappointed that the recent volumes were not as shiny as the previous ones, but now you have unlocked their hidden charm for us. :)
I started collecting them in 2000, unfortunately as I'm getting old, we haven't collected them in a few years

I love the postman books. When my children were young (mid 30s now), the writer/s held a book signing which we went to (the only book signing i have been to). They have always been among our favourite books and i then bought them for my grandsons 🙂🎅🧑🎄⛄️🎄❄️☃️

The Postman books are great for showing the kids that people used to send cards instead of emails or texts. They can even learn to read cursive in them.

When the girls were painting their salt dough ornaments last week in Girl Scouts (Girl Guides outside of the US), I talked to my 4th graders about how Christmas in Australia is during the summertime and how different that would be from winter where we are.
I also talked about the Lunar New Year; they are eager to learn about that in February. One of my girls kept saying how she would call it Chinese New Year, and I explained that many Asian cultures celebrate the Lunar New Year and that some have different animals for the year than the Chinese. (I am sorry if I have offended anyone; I know I am not explaining myself very well.) That specific girl is eager to learn about the different cultures. Her eyes got so big when I suggested it.
I love watching how much your children interact with each other. Sylvie is leaps and bounds ahead of most children her age. She knows where she is in the family and can add Birdie and the new baby to the family. I love that you let her process her thoughts.
I love that birdie looks like a mini rufus, cosmo is a mini felix and then you also have sylvie is a mini otto.. i been watching you guys since felix was 2 and your family is just the best so in awe of you and roe as parents and as people ❤❤
P.s i also remember when evan originally suggested doing vlogmas all them years back

It’s a pity kids who are 10 and over don’t believe in Santa …. My neighbours 10 and 11 year olds laugh at those who believe at their age….. I bet Evan doesn’t believe in Father Christmas anymore or Otto….. it’s a shame when they find out, but by that age they’ve already had many year of believing it ♥️
What someone else’s children believe is none of your concern.
Our parents never lied to us, and we turned out just fine, in fact, 4 generations of truth, so far. Santa might be a fun idea, but unnecessary to a healthy childhood.
