Chloe’s amazing knowledge and enthusiasm in children’s books enables her children to have the best of reads and choice of what they can enjoy and learn from. Such lucky children to be immersed in the world of books! 📚😊
If you want to get your kids reading more books and don't know what they'd like, librarians are often helpful.

As a children's author myself (Kathryn Reiss), and with a huge home library (walls covered, books stacked high in piles!), our seven kids grew up with tons of great books to read. Now I do a zoom book club with our far-flung grandchildren... But I never thought of a Book Advent Calendar, and I think you did it absolutely brilliantly, Chloe and Ro. Thanks for sharing it with your fans! It's a wonderful idea, and maybe one we'll gift a neighborhood school next year. What a great way to build an eclectic home library! (The little boxes of different cookies were a fabulous idea, too--nothing TOO sugary, but just a nice treat to go along with the book of the day. Well done! And Marry Christmas to you all from California.

Having been a teacher when I was working I so love how you teach your children and bring the gift of books to them which is pretty rare these days.
I'm so impressed with how advanced your twins are I never had 2yr olds who could recognise letters,numbers and so many animals like yours do so super well done guy's.
I especially love how your older children are so loving to their younger siblings that's obviously something you have taught them and is so beautiful to observe.
I've never seen children so grateful to get biscuits and be thankful for them you should be so proud.

I keep looking at Pearl and thinking what a beautiful girl she is … such a quiet gentle soul … then I look at the twins and think oh what good looking wee ones then I see the rest and omg it’s hard to pick one they’re all lovely looking and beautiful natured children … you and Ro do such a great job with them all they will be wonderful adults one day ❤

It took me a month to feel back to normal after Covid. Glad you are all on the mend.
That tree is so neat!!! I need to look into that for next year! Our current tree is on its last legs: built in lights not working and some branches coming off. It’s time. LOL. I love how easy it is to set up and to store! I’m glad you finally received it!

My grandmother would always buy or set up her tree on the 24th because that was tradition in her region of origin. I read stories of other people’s Christmases from that region. Then the father would distract the kids by going out for a walk then upon return into the house they’d be surprised with a decorated tree and presents. The storyteller called it magical. Back then trees also had real candles.
We did set ours up earlier in December growing up in our parents house and like your kids we loved helping decorating. There is some charm to just working together. It was a nice jumble of decorations. Little gifts we had gotten through time and little in school handcrafted items. A school dinner also gave us little ceramic bears with a hat and instrument. And so through years something of personal history was build.
Do remember one year one of our fake trees was at the end of his life but my sister and I somehow managed to make it a doll house of ornaments and tiny toys we had around. I still feel like that one day was the longest I have ever experienced, not in a bad way. But it feels like that Saturday we set up that tree took a good long time.

Grandma here!...just thinking nicely......i would love if Row would talk too in the videos...he is DAD and you are a team together......at the moment he is usually up the back somewhere out of sight....come forward Row and be seen as the great DAD you are....like to get to see his personality...

I tested positive for covid on Christmas eve so it wasn't good timing - it wasn't quite the Christmas I planned 🙈Luckily I'm feeling better now, in time for new years instead 😂

Wow that’s the easiest assembled tree Ive ever seen! ha so cool. usually artificial trees where I’m from always come in 3 pieces and you have to assemble it yourself. I’d love an easy flip tree on wheels!😍

You could have the kids decorate their stockings any way they would like. I know they sell little bags of different little things that they could glue onto them. It would probably be an idea for next year now. This way, you wouldn't have to worry about the letters being different colors. Sending LOVE and HUGS your way!!!! 🤗

I have a Christmas tree from Balsam Hill as well. It has yet to leave its box since I purchased it in Dec. 2020. I thought about "doing" Christmas this year but did not. It is just me. I love your book Advent calendar.

We found some similar felted ornaments--colorful and not too expensive--at World Market here in California...

My mom has a similar tree. It takes just a few minutes to set it up and it’s already got lights. Once it’s up you have to shape the branches a bit but it’s very simple to put up.
