I L.O.V.E Myths Man. It's really sad to hear that it's getting discontinued. The opening can be off-putting for some people, but after 5-10 minutes it becomes an ambery balsamic smoky goodness. It's so so good.

Imitation Man and Myths Man are both fantastic. Very different fragrances though. I describe Imitation as a vinyl rose scent and it's very easy to wear. Myths is very ashy with a classical feel. It's one of Amouage's more challenging ones.
Seems like Amouage is completely stripping away influences by Christopher Chong. Even the best seller that will remain from when he was Creative Director have been heavily reformulated.
I own and love both Journey Woman & Beach Hut Woman. Journey Woman, is just how you described, a honeyed apricot tobacco fragrance. Great for Fall wear! Beach Hut is kind of different than you might think. It is not what you would normally think of as a beachy scent. It is a 'colder' minerally/woody fragrance that I like to wear on cooler rainy days in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. This is the fragrance that introduced me to the note of Driftwood, that I love in this perfume. I am sad that they will be discontinued, but since I have a pretty large perfume collection and they are Amouage and therefore sometimes challenging to wear, I don't think I will need to pick up any back-ups. I haven't put much of a dent in the 100ml bottles I own.
I really like Beach Hut woman, I got a 10 ml decant from some subscription thing, I didn't expect anything from it, and I was wrong. It is not breathtaking in terms of originality but it is definitely extremely elegant, herbal yet dry, beautiful,...
I absolutely adore Beach Hut Woman!!! It's in my top 10 fav out of my 250+ fragrances. Thankfully I already have a back up bottle! Might need another one after hearing this sad news!
Figment M and Myths M are part of my absolute favorites. 2016-2017 was one of the best eras for the brand: Bracken W Figment M Myths M Myths W Opus X Sad, very sad.
I recently bought full bottles of "Imitation Woman", "Imitation Man", "Beach Hut Woman", "Beach Hut Man", and "Portrayal Man". "Imitation Woman" has become one of my favorite fragrances, and I regret not having gotten a backup bottle when I could have for a very good price. Sebastian, I highly recommend that one to you. I like the rest of them too, especially both Beach Huts. I think that "Imitation Man" is pretty similar to Dolce & Gabbana "The One: Mysterious Night". I'm basing all of this on my initial impression of each one, but without a doubt "Imitation Woman" is one of my favorite fragrances.
Opus VI is one of the best fragrances from the Library Collection. I also enjoy Opus III. I wish Amouage would sell all their fragrances in the U.S. Great video as usual.
Fate man is one of my current favorite fragrances, never understood the hate for it. It dries down to a beautiful fragrance. I literally just ordered figment man the other day. Glad I finally pulled the trigger. Guess I need to get the other two before prices get out of wack.

Yes I saw the new Library collection in the new bottles that are 100 ml from a mail that I received from Amouage two days ago, love the new bottles, they even change the font of the brand to a Sans Serif one, I don't know if they're going to use this new font for the brand in general. I NEED a bottle of Silver Oud. Thank you Sebastian!!!
Figment man is the best photorealistic geosmin, petrichor fragrance, lots of sandalwood vetiver in the middle and base that blends with the geranium from the top, the animalics are very tame, unless you're a newborn to niche. when i mean photrealistic, i mean it, it's very earthy the best to walk i nnature in Fall. Not your generic nice sweet thing.
Karine vinchon spehner's fragrances are the most purposeful IMO. overture, boundless and memoir man are very good. sad to hear that myths and fate are going to dissapear, too artistic maybe. thanks for the info Sebastian
Oh wow.. all of my favorite from amounts is discontinued. I love Myths and Fate and both are in my 5 top list. While Opus VI is super amazing and pungent, you should try this Sebastian. But Opus V is more to iris and floral instead of woody to my notes.
Thankfully they didn't discontinue Dia & Bracken woman.. My mom would've been furious lol. New BMW grey bottles for Library collection look great.. their best design so far imo.
I only tried Opus VI, and its awesome fragrance! Much more crowdpleasing than i expected! Complex fragrance, but easy to wear if you ask me... Better than alot of popular Amouage fragrances!

Pretty recently, I bought samples of some Amouage fragrances, e.g. Myths Man, Fate Man, Figment Man, Memoir Man, and Opus VII. Sebastian: you should at least try a sample of Myths Man before it's too late (Fragnet still has some samples, though). It's definitely not towards the top of my list of fragrances to get a full bottle of, but it's not bad. You might like it because it's classic-leaning and like cigarette smoky/ashy.
Thanks for the update on all these fragrances , I am so glad to see Journey Man is still available ... I may have to get a back up bottle in case . I love Boundless it's my favorite Tobacco of the 2 ( Journey & Boundless ) and all the Interludes especially 53 ! Cheers Brutha ✌😎
Recently, I was told by different people at Amouage that "Journey Man" has not been reformulated even though it's been moved into a new presentation. I bought a bottle of it, it's in a new presentation, and I think it's one of my favorites from Amouage.
Amouage is by far my favorite perfumes brand. Imitation man was so bad that I would willing to pay $5 to never try it, and $50 for Amouage never released it, as in my eyes it is stain on brand reputation. Myths man is very interesting scent. It is smoky, but fresh and crispy at the same time. It’s like precious woods being burned outside on sunny winter morning. I think it is discontinued not because of scent itself, but because of fragrance performance. Although it would be great for most of other brands, for Amouage buyers it definitely wouldn’t meet their expectation in this regard. Although as skin or close proximity scent it still lasts 8-10 hours.
I looovvveee Opus VII, though I hardly ever wear it. It is sooo intense, intoxicating, and sexy. Glad I got one of the last 50ml bottles from the Amouage website recently.
I loove both Beach Hut and Imitation woman. Imitation woman is like a sofisticated take on Karma by Lush, everybody compliments me when wearing it, I am not a fan of all patchoulis but this one is really good on my skin. Beach hut woman is a trip to a cold beach. What a shame

I really like Beach Hut Woman. It is totally unisex though. To me it is like setting in a driftwood framed straw roofed hut on the sand with a light breeze off the ocean.
Hi Sebastian I brought Amouage Myth I didn’t like it @ all., I Sented it back on Friday May 20, 2022 the bottle was pretty. I am overwhelmed with my fragrances I am not a Collector at all, Just love smelling good. I was Gifted Amouage Extraits of Honour-Epic-Reflection Man-Interlude Man. I think they are 3ml each in a pretty case. I brought a Full Bottle of Honour. I Spray Honour all the time but the others not on a Regular so I probably will not Miss any 5-23-2022., thanks for sharing 👍🏽👍🏽♥️
I bought samples of beach hut man & woman from ZGO, I’ll try anything claiming beachyness, I found them interesting, but too traditionally perfumey for my taste. I actually preferred the man’s version which rarely happens for me, beach hut woman has a cucumber thing going on in the opening I found interesting but didn’t really like it 😂
I went down to the bar last weekend and I wore *Beach Hut Man.* As I walked in, a female grabbed my shirt and sniffed my chest like a wild animal. 10 out of 10. 👍🏽
As a matter of fact, the original Rose Incense belongs to the collection named "It's all about ...", which is printed on its box, but not the Library Collection. And it is a complete sentence as "It's all about Rose Incense". I'm not sure if Silver Oud was belong to the same collection. I really like Imitation Man, which is a surprising rose fragrance for man. So sad it is discontinued.

Moving to the new bottles is a smart move coz that opus old bottles lacks character. Meanwhile I hoped luten returns to their old stickers on bottles coz they kinda lost their charms . A nice bottle definitely add pleasures while using.

Is Dia man also discontinued? I saw Fate man, Opus V and Dia man on a perfume website for half the price and was wondering if to get them or not, but I haven't smelled any, so I am not sure. All the 'new' releases sound good, so I can't wait to try them out. Thank you for the video!
I had opus 6. bought it as a blind buy, I loved the opening and longevity is amazing. How ever it has a weird sweet plasticky smell that I can't quiet describe. the opening is similar to portrait of a lady only in the opening and shares commonalities with Jubilation 25 in its base. Jubilation 25 is a much better fragrence then opus 6. I wish Jubilation preformed like opus 6. Final conclusion on opus 6 is that its not a good over all scent. Maybe if they reformulate it and get rid of what ever that plastic smell is, it would be a a good buy.
I have Imitation Man and it’s 90% similar to Moonlight Patchouli from VC&A which I also have. It’s nice tho, gives some grandma purse vibes. Opus VII is probably one of the most challenging fragrances I’ve ever put my nose on, I’m surprised that they’re moving it to new bottles. Would love to hear your opinions on Opus IX, the most interesting one from the collection imo. Thanks for the video! :)
Myths is so goddamn good. I messed up by only buying a 50ml bottle, but it was a blind buy. Its got hints of the Interlude dna, the smoky incense-y aspect but more floral
Imitation man is my most favorite from Amouage. Somewhat I pick up pink pepper and rose as its prominent notes. Figment man is a beast. It reminds me of Bat from Zoologist, though. These are great fragrances.
Love imitation man, so surprised that they choose to discontinue that one. I also like Figment Man, since I love earthy fragrances, but I do understand that the average nose won't appreciate such a fragrance.
Yeah, that's the thing. Amouage are moving towards a mass appeal model which i understand. Fragrances like Figment, Myths and Fate run counter to that idea.
I own Figment Man and it's a quirky one. Animalic yes but there's a very realistic dirt accord that is really something. Not that many people want to smell like dirt. I don't. It's a weird one but one I'm glad to have in my collection.
Figment is similar to Myths in that you have to wait it out for it to deliver all of its gifts. The green side is really special but I REALLY have to be in the mood for the animalic/dirt accord.
But Journey is back in production! No regrets to any. Coreect choice for discontinuation. Except for Ubar. Ubar tk me is the best fragrance by Amouage ever...

I tried the new opus line yesterday at Neiman Marcus. Was blown away by rose incense absolutely love it. I have spent the day trying to figure out if it’s still the same juice just different bottles or if they reformulated the juice a bit. Tried contacting Amouage directly but haven’t heard back. If you know the answer to that pls share. Woods symphony was also amazing and will be on my list
I remember smelling Imitation at Amouge store and thinking it smells nice but it didn’t have an Amouge DNA and smelled very generic and similar to some other designer perfumes.
Surprised u r not familiar with Myth Man. It kinda smells like DHP, same iris and burnt leather, though Amouage was much more luxurious. Weren’t fan of both. I’ll just try to get backups for Fate Man. Thanks, Sebastian:))
I was hoping that they keep myths and the other from the opus collection... Sad day. I'm still debating on getting myths.. but i think I'd throw down for imitation man.. if you haven't heard anything about portrayal man I'm glad 😭 cuz that was next on my radar. I think you have portrayal right? Does it last like 6-8 hours on skin?
After Chong's Era , Amouage seems to fall into decay. Changing bottles, new "old" releases, flankers. New releases are not in Amouage unique style. In contrast to them, Myths man along with imitation Man (even though it is not my cup of tea) were a completely unique experience one must sample . I have also noticed that Bracken Man (the best Fougere ever IMO) is not offered at Amouage's online Store.
You got to get your nose on Myths Man and Imitation Man they are great and now I'm afraid for my favorite ones Beloved and Dia man I hope they don't get DISCONTINUED

Beach Hut Woman doesn't come off feminine at all. It's concentrated heavily on teak wood and is quite a solid fragrance for those who like that.

I’d never get through a 3.4 oz bottle of anything by Amouage, so I’m not rattled too much. Figment Man is my favorite of them all.

I have Imitation Man and it’s 90% similar to Moonlight Patchouli from VC&A which I also have. It’s nice tho, gives some grandma purse vibes.
Opus VII is probably one of the most challenging fragrances I’ve ever put my nose on, I’m surprised that they’re moving it to new bottles.
Would love to hear your opinions on Opus IX, the most interesting one from the collection imo.

Imitation is also almost a dead nuts comp of Guerlain's Encens Mythique as well ;)
Myths is so goddamn good. I messed up by only buying a 50ml bottle, but it was a blind buy. Its got hints of the Interlude dna, the smoky incense-y aspect but more floral
Imitation man is my most favorite from Amouage. Somewhat I pick up pink pepper and rose as its prominent notes. Figment man is a beast. It reminds me of Bat from Zoologist, though. These are great fragrances.
Journey woman is my favorite ones of the house with overture! Sad it did not get the popularity it deserves
Love imitation man, so surprised that they choose to discontinue that one. I also like Figment Man, since I love earthy fragrances, but I do understand that the average nose won't appreciate such a fragrance.
Yeah, that's the thing. Amouage are moving towards a mass appeal model which i understand. Fragrances like Figment, Myths and Fate run counter to that idea.

I own Figment Man and it's a quirky one. Animalic yes but there's a very realistic dirt accord that is really something. Not that many people want to smell like dirt. I don't. It's a weird one but one I'm glad to have in my collection.
Figment is similar to Myths in that you have to wait it out for it to deliver all of its gifts. The green side is really special but I REALLY have to be in the mood for the animalic/dirt accord.
I love and own Opus XI , Opus X and Opus IX. My favorite is Opus XI. Fortunately I just got a back-up bottle. So sorry for discontinuing them :(
Amouage Opus VIII it is absolutely masterpiece! I love it.
Myths Man is very good. There are others from Amouage that fill that sort of role better than Myths Man, if that makes sense.
But Journey is back in production! No regrets to any. Coreect choice for discontinuation. Except for Ubar. Ubar tk me is the best fragrance by Amouage ever...
My wife always complained about my fragrances she think it's too much but when she watched your fragrances collection she shocked and never complain again .

I am a fan of opu 6 , I have 5 bottles, 1 from 2012, (2013)-(2014) end 2 of 2015, pure liquid gold, great perfume ,
I tried the new opus line yesterday at Neiman Marcus. Was blown away by rose incense absolutely love it. I have spent the day trying to figure out if it’s still the same juice just different bottles or if they reformulated the juice a bit. Tried contacting Amouage directly but haven’t heard back. If you know the answer to that pls share. Woods symphony was also amazing and will be on my list

I remember smelling Imitation at Amouge store and thinking it smells nice but it didn’t have an Amouge DNA and smelled very generic and similar to some other designer perfumes.

I was told it was being tweaked/reformulated but nothing has happened with it, It's just disappeared so I'm assuming discontinuation by stealth.
Surprised u r not familiar with Myth Man. It kinda smells like DHP, same iris and burnt leather, though Amouage was much more luxurious. Weren’t fan of both. I’ll just try to get backups for Fate Man. Thanks, Sebastian:))
I was hoping that they keep myths and the other from the opus collection... Sad day. I'm still debating on getting myths.. but i think I'd throw down for imitation man.. if you haven't heard anything about portrayal man I'm glad 😭 cuz that was next on my radar. I think you have portrayal right? Does it last like 6-8 hours on skin?

I didn't enjoy fate, figment or imitation but myths was good, kind of like Interlude with florals over it.
My wife and I joke about Opus 7 smelling like a plate of nachos or carne guisada 😆
After Chong's Era , Amouage seems to fall into decay. Changing bottles, new "old" releases, flankers. New releases are not in Amouage unique style. In contrast to them, Myths man along with imitation Man (even though it is not my cup of tea) were a completely unique experience one must sample . I have also noticed that Bracken Man (the best Fougere ever IMO) is not offered at Amouage's online Store.
You got to get your nose on Myths Man and Imitation Man they are great and now I'm afraid for my favorite ones Beloved and Dia man I hope they don't get DISCONTINUED
I've sampled Opus VI - it bears a striking similarity to Bentley Intense, just not quite as sweet.
