THats what Ive been searching for these last few days! I was sure there was a way of getting it to auto-update cruise speed when you go from a 30 to a 50 zone for example, without having to press on the speed limit icon (which I also never knew...)
That's why I think xpeng driver assistance will fit better for many cities in the world with ridiculous traffic like india, Indonésia, etc. Because China city traffic also a mix of normal and ridiculously ridiculous
I'm sure they wont offer that in india for years to come. Then again in Indian traffic you probably don't want to drive any new 40k $ car in the first place..
@@LunnarisLP oh cmon Tesla wants to come into the Indian market for years now and we have cars worth 300k$ on our roads....that not a point. if no one is gonna drive a 40k$ car on the road, I'm dead sure that Tesla would be aware of what the Indian mindset is before they enter the market and they wouldn't try to enter the market then. They just need to modify their autopilot for INDIA before they give that.. BTW the 40k$ car that you are talking about is much more than 40k$ in india you know things are expensive here cuz of import taxes
It's crazy how much further along auto pilot is in the US. It does roundabouts, drives on un marked roads, changes speed, stops and starts at traffic devices by it self. Is the because of regulations or software version. U can also get the full self driving beta.
Hey Jack so I’m pretty sure the reason the car hates that corner so much is because of the steering limitations in the uk and Europe. (I hope they get rid of the limit soon because it actually makes the car more unsafe with the limit because it cannot complete the corner)
One reason why I believe why Autopilot can't take those turn and corners is because the EU limits all autonomy / self-driving features to only turn the steering wheel a limited amount
From what I've seen in America, train tracks aren't usually elevated above the road at all. Typically they're embedded deep enough in the road that it wouldn't really matter if you went over them at high speeds. I'm guessing that's why auto pilot doesn't slow down for them. It should, though, at least in the UK.
I think the car goes at a speed it knows it is safe to go around corners...we just drive slower! The new S and X monitors tread depth so if will go slower in wet weather when tyres are more worn. We need to trust our cars more!
It's because of how the uk regulates self driving/assisted driving vehicles. The governing body says the vehicles may not steer to a degree, thus when a vehicle meets the corner they don't have enough range to go. Not saying the tesla doesn't have tire monitoring capabilities, because that I have no clue. Just a uk regulation I find poorly thought out. Wonder if they even tested how this would affect them or did they just think of a number and say "yep, this'll keep us safe from the ebil self driving cars, totally."
UK country roads are so confusing, sometimes there'd be a clean stretch of straight road with very good linemarkings, speed limit? 40. Then you get to a path with hedges around blocking all visibility where cars from opposite directions have to share the road, speed limit? 60. Of course.

"Tesla Full Self-Driving". I just gotta say, if you truly analyze what's going on in this video you'll see that Telsa Full Self-driving actually INCREASES the cognitive workload on the driver verses someone simply piloting the car normally. Using TFSD, this guy has #1 Drive the car like a normal human being & obey the rules of the road, #2 Remain fully aware of what the FSD is "supposed" to do, #3 Anticipate what the FSD is will PROBABLY do, #4 Assume Defensive position whenever HE DETERMINES FSD will likely deviate between #2 & #3. This guy's COGNITIVE WORKLOAD is probably 3x-5x HIGHER when using Telsa "Full Self-Driving" than if he simply drove the car normally!
