I cried after watching this. How can a mortal man reach this level of excellence and proficiency? How is this possible? Even in my wildest dreams I cant see myself play half as good. Years ago I played gh3, which introduced me to the Danny Johnson videos which in turn introduced me to this subgenre of music. I would listen to the pieces countless times and imagine how they would sound on a real guitar, I even tried figuring out and playing some of them, unsuccessfully, but still I kept dreaming of a time when someone out there might achieve it. And here you are. So thank you Halfduck. I feel grateful I am at least able to witness greatness.

How long have you been playing guitar? Your covers always absolutely blow my mind. Also, I find the way you pick really interesting, pinching the pick and then a 2 finger anchor, but I guess it’s always a bit odd thinking of doing something different then how you are used to.
About 13 years. I don't really consciously think about how I'm picking, I just do whatever feels comfortable. I've tried to copy other people's picking (Hetfield style looks the coolest), but it never feels right haha
