For me, Kevin has an unbelievable portfolio. He sings, he beat boxes, he plays the “cello boxing”, he’s bilingual, he was Yale student, he studied medicine. Most talented person I’ve ever seen
So true, I admire him so much in so many ways aside from him being my favorite performer in PTX. Though I will say I have deep admiration and respect for everyone in Pentatonix, they are simply amazing.
It's so sweet how everyone is telling Kevin how good of a singer he is and how he has the highest note but he doubts himself and they just keep supporting him and talking him up.

Same thing happened here. My dance teacher literally told me to quit because she didn’t want to invest time in me. I was six at the time and was absolutely devastated - dance had been my life up till that point, and I read books, I practiced five hours a day… Apparently I didn’t learn mt lesson because five years later my music teacher told me to quit singing There went my dreams of broadway…

i've always been so curious why kirstin is so bashful about her high register when she clearly can do notes in the 7th octave and mitch usually tops at A5
I think it's because she received the most criticism over the years, obviously misogyny, but she got shit on for literally everything, from looks to talent, while Scott and Mitch didn't experience as much flak. Obviously people love her as well, don't get me wrong, but as a PTX fan from their very beginning I witnessed Kirstin being called their weakest link for YEARS while the boys were mostly celebrated. So that wears on a person and causes insecurities. Her growth through that is spectacular, and she had to fight probably the hardest to get where she is now.
@@oliviamurphy9482 yeah i’ve been around since their first EP, and i rmbr all the “she’s the weakest member” comments, ig i just never attributed that to her not displaying her high register more but she has had some moments of exploration in ptx’s latest works so i’m proud of her for stepping out
OMG her heel are totally into fantasy wuff and yes I AM a dirty old man. Right now, that now out of the way/// I love hearing these folks! My step dad was a jazz drummer who had his own band (and was awesome at negotiating contracts) that went back and forth from Duo with my mom to a quintet and back tp a duo many times. I get the biz. And yes your voice is THE single most important instrument you have because that's how you communicate to your audience. You young'n are awesome!
Great song and lyrics. This song offers support to someone who is going through a difficult moment. The songs has a lot of compassion as well as some harsh love ("No one can change your life except for you") and ("Things'll go your way if you hold on for one more day").
