Since he has transferred to Barca the club has failed to recreate the tactical set-up that alloeed him to be a Deep Laying Play Maker with license to get forward knowing a ball winning MF was staying at home. It's gonna be interesting to see Flick uses him.
De jong has never been at his best since joining barca due to tactical issues. He is a box to box midfielder who likes to be the first to receive the ball from the defence and carry it forward, thats where he excels at best. Xavi's tactics and structure last season didn't allow him to be effective and that has been the major issue with de jong. I think hansi flick's system suits him best since he'll have alot of room to move forward freely.
The best version of frenkie was when he played alongside Busi under Xavi where his role was to support in attack and defense. Barca fans are angry because he takes long to move the ball. Flick plays with 8's not 6 and 8 christensen wont play
Frenkie is good as double pivot box to box attack. Hansi style of direct possession attacking football with long or fast passes will suit him. Frenkie plays like Kimmich.
@@WilliamKgasi-mm9en if he can add long passes to his playstyle and moves the ball quick. He should also understand when to dribble and to get the ball out to the wing from deeper areas
