I've always wondered why the boys at Tuba Skinny are so polite and disciplined. Now I understand it. It is thanks to the clubs that Erika, the manager of TS, holds in her hands!
A really nice version of a 1930 pop tune that sounds like it came from the 1890s. I first heard it decades ago on a Leadbelly LP. It moved into the country field before 1942 with versions by Carson Robison as Bud Billings, The Callahan Family, and Mac and Bob. In the 1950s and later, Fat Domino, Ray Price, the Everly Bros., and lots of NOLA bands have done it
Incredible sound, tremendous style, love it. I count 6 strings on the banjo. In fact it looks like he took the neck from a guitar and mounted it on a banjo body.
ROGER OFFORD I call him the Marlboro man. Cigs and alcohol will make you sing like you’ve been gargling with Drano. I like Greg he was born in another time ......
A tale of unrequited love from Tuba Skinny's Greg snd Erika. One of their best. I always prefer songs with vocals.
Tuba Skinny Beautiful beautiful beautiful 🇧🇷
Greg is so accessible and old school sounding. He fits ..... keep it up
Lovely
Tuba Skinny, for me the best traditional Dixieland Band in the World with the famous Shaye Cohn 👏👏🎺🎺🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸❗️❗️
Don't you know you're not allowed to say "Dixieland" any more? LOL - Political correctness gone mad...
Shaye for president!
I love Greg’s style 🎶🎶🎶❤️ greatest band. Love you all. Thank you for giving of your gifts 🎶🎶🎶❤️

The banjo solo was sweeeet!
Whew! I could feel the rooms energy surge on that one. Nice harmony too. Little things make big difference. You hit the groove.
The whole band is fantastic! Clarinet is really something ❤
Very talented band.
This song is the story of my life done by today's greatest jazz revival and preservation band from Nawlins.
Bravo ! Tuba Skinny un jour, Tuba Skinny tous les jours
Merci Pierre pour ces merveilleux moments de Jazz !
Avec plaisir !
I didn't realize anyone had recorded this oldie-but-goodie recently. Great stuff!
Polish fascist, get in the bin
It wasn't written by Irving Berlin but by Ira Schuster & Joe Young and published as a waltz in 1930. Lovely vocal by Greg.
The more I read about this song, the more I think you are right ! I have corrected. Thank you.
I could listen to this band all day and dream them at night . .
beautiful song
I have been following to the skinny for a long time and while the bass drum is integral to their music now
Very authentic! I like it.
On a scale of 0-5 points 6 points for this song for Gregory, Erika and Tuba Skinny!

Prachtige muziek.
Incredible sound, tremendous style, love it.

It's a 6-string banjo tune the same as a guitar. Rod Stewart plays the same instrument on a RUclips video mandolin wind
a treat
Pl
Brilliant!
Amen!
I hope Shae was addressing just me when she announced the number!
No podrian venir a Barcelona? 😉
Грустная , очень грустная песня!
Hi
Acho otimo essa banda
!!!
Sorry, as intricate as the bass drum is now I miss the old videos when they played in the street and Erica we just wiggle during instrumental breaks
Greg cannot really sing yet I love his vocals. I suppose I love the sound of an untrained voice.
ROGER OFFORD I call him the Marlboro man. Cigs and alcohol will make you sing like you’ve been gargling with Drano. I like Greg he was born in another time ......
ROGER OFFORD ,the band wouldn’t be the same without Greg’s talent,he’s really laid back.
He's great. He brings a unique style to the band.
Reminds me of Leon Redbone’s style (RIP Leon).
