Jaleel Shivers honestly, the way the previous season ended, it was set up like she WAS actually kidnapped (by her brother, by the governor's shady ppl, or whoever)- which, imo, woulda made a lot more sense and played into the story better than how they tried to write it off (cuz the previous season literally ended with laurel straight-up disappearing while she was with annalise, making it out to be like someone TOOK her). it just feels like the whole "oh i was just in hiding but im only calling u this one time to let u know im not the rat lol bye" was forced in there to wrap up laurel's disappearance mystery and wasnt what the writers initially intended. so im wondering if laurel's actress leaving was too abrupt for the writers to come up with anything better or what.

She didnt kill Sinclair. She didnt kill Bonnies father. She didnt kill Wes. She didnt kill Miller. All she did was cover for the eff ups of the Keating 5.
But she did use a lot of manipulative tactics to make her not a murderer cause that’s how she wants to see her self anyways .And her daughter is beautiful.
I thought that too, but then I went back and rewatched from the beginning and in season one...after Sam tried to push past Michaela and ended up falling over the railing....the suggestion was go to the police and the reaction was they couldn't since they were there illegally stealing off his laptop...but then Sam revived and started choking out Rebecca and to stop him, Wes hit him with the trophy statue.....at that point Sam was well and truly dead...the cops could have been called...no one would have known about the laptop part and Rebecca was Lila's friend and they all were in the house because they worked for AK and AK was representing Rebecca...but when Wes came back to the get the statue, AK was waiting and she talked Wes into getting the others to wrap up the corpse, take it, burn it, chop it up (since they threw multiple bags in that dumpster) and lie about everything and that would be the only way to save themselves...when really she was cheating on Sam with Nate and was screwing Nate when Sam was being killed and would look guilty (remember later she framed Nate for the murder to get Rebecca off, then when Nate didn't get bail, she had him beat up heavily to try to get him bail) so...she's basically Charles Manson with a law degree when you think about it....

I initially just wanted to rewatch the first season but couldn't stop myself.
