I will add this comment to clarify. The upcoming Early Acess on december 6th is $30 to play, but the game in general and likely later iterations of beta testing are totally free. Doing this also gives $30 worth of points anyways that you could then use to buy premium stash tabs that will work permanently across all games and leagues
And if you get far enough that you'd spend money on stash tabs anyway you got your money worth of points to spend on those so the price tag for EA doesn't feel bad imo.
Stash tabs usually go on sale after a week of new league start. With the folders and affinities (which can be turned on on normal stashes) and now marketplace even premium stash tabs are not that necessary - unless you plan to craft for profit or get good rng drops. Game is even less pay to win now lol.
@@dizk8488From personal experience I'd say don't even bother thinking about which stash tabs to buy until you've beaten the campaign. It's unnecessary until you get to end game when you actually start picking up stuff worth selling and currency in quantities that can't easily be stored. Assuming things stay the same in poe2 I'd say you want a currency tab, map tab and one premium tab. Afterwards a fragment tab and one tab related to the end-game content you will be farming. Which you won't know for sure until you've tried out a few for a while and know what you like, so it's worth waiting.

I am at the start of the video but talking about the MTX for PoE. One thing I just love about POE2 is that even without MTX, the regular models of items look awesome! I really like finding something that not only is good for my character but looks cool as well.
I'm new, and just because this game is so incredible and free, I'll dump a few dollars into MTX, since this game doesn't make me feel like its a waste considering the quality and the community.

Hope this trends cause I don't want new people thinking they need to buy things when they just paid 30 bucks or got recommended by a friend to play an Early Access game.
To clarify, Path of Building (referred to as PoB) is a build planning tool, which can import character data from real in game characters and be used as a sandbox. But it's a one way road. It does not help you in game directly. It's a standalone app.
I'll admit, I RMT'd once years ago, used it to gear up a character, at which point... I realised I didn't really have anything to do. I'd finished my character, what was it all for? These days I view grinding for tradeable loot as a goal in and of itself, not a means to an end, and I've had a ton more fun playing the game than I did that one league.
Just like PoE 1, currency tab will always be your first choice. After that, it gets debatable and I think I'll wait for the the game to drop in Dec 6 before making my decision on which ones (second one is probably either Map tab (or waystones in PoE 2) or the fragment tab). My guess is Map tab first since it doesn't look like there's many items that will fit in the Fragment tab compared to PoE 1. After that, everything is dependent on which league mechanic you're planning on farming. And finally, save up or straight up buy a quad premium stash tab. Better than a normal one for sure.
I have to comment on Cheating part. You have a streamer that goes offline day 1 with 1-2 divines in stash, comes tomorrow online with HH claiming he "farmed" it offline. And this is large streamer and also does this every league! So people are not getting banned that easy unfortunatelly. But i'm happy with game and my little over 10 000 hours :) Can't wait for POE2
"OneManaLeft was found dead this morning inside his apartment. Initial police reports say the cause of death was suffocation, they found a rare albino rhoa fish lodged in his throat. The Great Gill Gang denies any involvement."
On buying tabs I would advice to consider to buy at least one premium quad stash tab, which is massive QoL when you running maps. And wait with purchase until the sale is on.
I am a new player coming to this game and for the first time I will try come up with some build on my own and if I struggle I will look up and learn from others. Honestly for a 30$ early access game has a lot to offer comparing to other games.
for poe 2 you should be fine following the recommendations and taking what looks good. the main thing imo is that if you're dying 10 times in a row you are expected to go around and farm or fix your gear (e.g. if you have no fire res against a fire boss, go get some.) (you can still try to bruteforce it if you're confident you can do it, but there will be quite a few one time drops around the acts to help if you're stuck.)
I started playing PoE a few weeks ago, and I'm ADDICTED 😂😂. I have a level 50 witch, and it feels like the game is just getting started. Up until then it felt like a breeze but now it feels like finding a build and getting in tune with the mechanics is a MUST. I can't wait for PoE2 - I've slowed down a bit to focus all my energy on it when it launches lol
Thank you for this I've subbed liked and belled. I'm hoping I can be smart to grasp enough to enjoy the game. Also is there no date for the free to play release date?
they said 6-12 months so half of 2025 foward, but i can see they delaying to early 2026 if they get a bit stuck finishing up the other 24 ascendancies or something
Great video. A lot of good information. I have only 2 feedbacks. 1. It would be nice if you put some random gameplay in the background while you talk. Like I was trying to watch it and listen but my attention span is short and just watching a guy stand in town made me want to click off, but the information was good so I stayed. But just any random gameplay will make me easily stay and watch the whole thing. 2. This one isn’t a big deal but you have a tendency to repeat yourself a bit. You would say a point and then just say it again. Made it slightly harder to listen to. Overall I really liked the info and I’m glad you made it. I subbed and will be looking for more.
The crazy part is buying early access gets you 30 bucks in currency as well so if you opt in to the early access you’ll probably have most of the stash tabs you’ll ever need. GGG stacking W’s left and right. We bout to eat for yeaaaaaaaaars with this one.
As a console Diablo player I’m hyped to try this game out and really hope to get into the endgame. The wording point is really annoying. Really wish companies laid out the stats more clearly. Diablo has gotten better with marking most damage bonuses with [+] or [x]
Hello new player here from diablo. Thank you for this video it was absolutely helpful. 2 questions what hero is this in the video, they showed same bunny hoping speed running build in poe2 live stream too. Is there any spin 2 win kind of build for example whirlwind from diablo. Thanks alot looking forward to more videos as such from you and poe veterans so us newbies can learn.
u can search Cyclone Shockwave Slayer im sure it is what u want, but its not in early access im guessing it will appear with the release of duelist class which exist in PoE1 (no way they dont add cyclone)
The bunny hoping was footage from poe1 during the mtx part of the announcement, showing the mtx in poe1 since the beta starts later and you could use the mtx now. Its just regular leap slam with tons of attack speed, i dont think its going to get that fast in poe2, since its a lot slower. The spin to win, the other guy mentioned Cyclone Shockwave Slayer, and i agree that it wont be in poe2 YET, but since its a very classic skill they will probably add a few months into the Early access, a long side the slayer class. since both already exist in poe.
Conner (the guy who posted this video) was actually one of the main content creators who pioneered the Manabond/Mjolner build. In PoE 1 there was actually several different variants of spin-to-win, poison, crimson dance/bleed, impale, CoC shockwave... Obviously we don't know as much about PoE 2, but Cyclone is going to be in PoE 2, so I have to imagine there'll be several different builds pop up. If you decide to look at manabond/mjolner builds on youtube don't watch Zen's video, as he uses lightning warp. It's good and all, but makes the playstyle super janky/jerky, when actually most varients of the build plays very smoothly.
I'm a brand new player. Haven't played POE1 but I'm hyped to play this game. To be honest if I never came across this vid I would have never known buying from someone would be a ban-able offence, so RIP those who're like me but still wont know that. Not to mention the difference between "More vs Increased" would have never occurred me so thanks. Couple questions tho: 1) How will POB carry over if its a totally different set up? 2) In POE1 was there a good variety in the cosmetics?
a new PoB will be made likely within days. call it PoB2 if you will theres a wide range of cosmetics, some are 1 time buys only or come back later but most are always available. also one of the most popular buys is alternate skill effects, so your fireball can look different than the base fireball for example
Awesome video! After 2k hours only yesterday i understood that theres difference between more and increased because i started a bleed build, could you make a vid about poe2 some in depth class theories? DOTs could be meta with all the mechanic dodging?
Well that was some very useful information, I've played for however many thousands of hour and didn't realize that when fishing... Wait, give me a second theres someone knocking on the door.
The tabs are not even something you have to buy in addition. You pay 30 Bucks for the early access, and this is a given anyone has to do. Those that get the keys because of lifetime spendings have the tabs, those buying the early access have the points from the pack to get at least one tab. which is sufficient at the start. I argue that 80% of the players that are around after the campaign enjoy the game so much that they will buy at least the 60$ pack anyways.
My threshold for pay to win is when the the live service game allows you to spend more than $70 per year on anything more than cosmetic microtransactions. And PoE is nowhere near that threshold.
Oh, I see, there will be a part 2 video dropping soon to discuss fishing. Your editing got messed up a little I think. Looking forward to that next vid.
I must say to this 1st one; "It's free", that it kinda isn't, but for 10bucks, you get premium stash tab and currency stash tab and those will carry one for a loooooooooong way.. But I'd argue those are mandatory.. so in that way, PoE cost one around 10$/€.. Edit; You brought up this point 2minutes after me writing this comment, sry, should just watch and stfu, then comment, but I tend to forget what I was saying if I listen peolple to the end.. xD But still, the way I sell PoE to my friends, is telling them it's free, but if they like it they NEED TO pay, around 10$/€.. so again, I'd argue the FULL GAME, costs that.. it cost you currency and premium stash tabs.. those really are mandatory if you want to partake in trading, and really even crafting.. 4normal stash tabs are full of transmutions and augments in 20h..
Just completely off topic: Another gaming studio I would describe as very ethical when it comes to making a free game is Digital Extremes, developers of Warframe. Very similar situation, mostly makes profit through microtransactions, all premium currency is freely tradable between players, and therefore earnable in game.
@@xTazerTx In what way? I would love to know how you think it's predatory. A counter-example I would think is in their in-game shop instead of telling you to buy an item, it literally shows you where to find and grind the item in-game.
@@ammardian first imma say this but it's not bc a game has a way better monetization than gâcha that it automatically makes that game non predatory so now onto the actual points so the foundry is just straight predatory locking ppl out of the frame they just farmed for 4 days is just predatory. @@xTazerTx "less advanced people"??? The only things in wf that require you to be "advanced" are eidolons and levelcap runs, the rest is simply trivial. Do we know for sure that our stash tabs are going to transfer over? Like our currency tab? I am not sure about this since they have gotten rid of certain currencies.
yeah he lost me when he said 'its free'. 99% of players who have played 50 hours have bought stash tabs. you could say free to try definitely. but you couldnt even fit currency alone from 1 league in the free stash.

Thanks dor the fishing advice. Condolences to your family.
honestly, very good pointers. poe is a very unique game in some aspects, and making ppl aware of those is very good
Would love a video explaining stash tab priority for PoE2 with $30, $60 etc.
@@kkonaklap6067 Thanks for the info! This is really helpful for people like me who haven't played PoE 1
buy them on sales
@@dizk8488 just an fyi every 3 weeks they have sales on tabs so wait for that.
I'm new to POE and am excited to learn from vets. Please grace us with the wisdom acquired over the years.
Thank you for this. Great upload because it's pure strategic info for newbs.
Bro you are the last poe youtuber I'd expect a new player content from lol.
Greetings fellow witch enjoyer.
@monkeyboy275bobo8 it was the only class that was an instant click for me. Plus, the aggro that the minions pull is great when fighting big mobs
I got to say if there was no POB i wouldn;t have a clue what is better. I love this channel.
ty for cutting the fishing part out after I saw it and only being half a snitch
Thank you for this I've subbed liked and belled. I'm hoping I can be smart to grasp enough to enjoy the game. Also is there no date for the free to play release date?
Not now, the full free release is probably gonna be sometime in December 2025 or 2026
they said 6-12 months so half of 2025 foward, but i can see they delaying to early 2026 if they get a bit stuck finishing up the other 24 ascendancies or something
Cant wait for part 2 fishing guide.
lmao, love the end!
Ikr 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the ending, made me laugh hard, good job
Such a banger loading screen? Background image? Wallpaper? Fingernail? Idk how it's called
Good vid
It’s called “thumbnail”. I’m assuming you’re referring to that.
The four free tabs you get on account creation also allow for affinities.
Ahahaah, Fishning)). I am wainting guide about fishing now.
2 questions
what hero is this in the video, they showed same bunny hoping speed running build in poe2 live stream too.
It's good and all, but makes the playstyle super janky/jerky, when actually most varients of the build plays very smoothly.
loved the ending, good to see that delve tab too. i just check delve/blight/deli on some random tab, those are really unnecessary
99,99% of stash tab I have picked up from weekend deals which I would 100% recommend to new players.
27:43 Conner won't snitch confirmed! 😁
New player, 50-60 hours of poe and am getting poe 2. Looking for folks to play with. Good vibes and I learn quick.
Couple questions tho:
1) How will POB carry over if its a totally different set up?
2) In POE1 was there a good variety in the cosmetics?
a new PoB will be made likely within days. call it PoB2 if you will
theres a wide range of cosmetics, some are 1 time buys only or come back later but most are always available. also one of the most popular buys is alternate skill effects, so your fireball can look different than the base fireball for example
@@ConnerConverse Thats great! I can't wait for the game and thanks for the response your vid was a lot of help!
Awesome video! After 2k hours only yesterday i understood that theres difference between more and increased because i started a bleed build, could you make a vid about poe2 some in depth class theories? DOTs could be meta with all the mechanic dodging?
gotta wait for more info but there will be tons to theorycraft on and put out after december 6th
Grinding Gear Games, Digital Extremes (Warframe) and Eleventh Hour Games (Last Epoch). I already bought my early access key.
Great content, new player, new sub
Thanks for the fishing advices, now im rich, thanks my man!! Best farm ever,
Well that was some very useful information, I've played for however many thousands of hour and didn't realize that when fishing...
Really solid list GG
you know, I've never killed maven with rf so I'd consider myself a new player. maybe this video IS for me
thats actually a pretty good fishing advice
10/10 ending
My threshold for pay to win is when the the live service game allows you to spend more than $70 per year on anything more than cosmetic microtransactions. And PoE is nowhere near that threshold.
Oh, I see, there will be a part 2 video dropping soon to discuss fishing. Your editing got messed up a little I think. Looking forward to that next vid.
The fishing part was cut unfortunately, what you have to do is ... and then you start getting fishes a lot.
lmao shoutout to fubgun, W snitch
😂😂😂
I must say to this 1st one; "It's free", that it kinda isn't, but for 10bucks, you get premium stash tab and currency stash tab and those will carry one for a loooooooooong way.. But I'd argue those are mandatory.. so in that way, PoE cost one around 10$/€..
Edit; You brought up this point 2minutes after me writing this comment, sry, should just watch and stfu, then comment, but I tend to forget what I was saying if I listen peolple to the end.. xD
But still, the way I sell PoE to my friends, is telling them it's free, but if they like it they NEED TO pay, around 10$/€.. so again, I'd argue the FULL GAME, costs that.. it cost you currency and premium stash tabs.. those really are mandatory if you want to partake in trading, and really even crafting..
Warframe is so much more predatory than poe it's not even comparable
@@xTazerTx In what way? I would love to know how you think it's predatory. A counter-example I would think is in their in-game shop instead of telling you to buy an item, it literally shows you where to find and grind the item in-game.
@@ammardian first imma say this but it's not bc a game has a way better monetization than gâcha that it automatically makes that game non predatory so now onto the actual points so the foundry is just straight predatory locking ppl out of the frame they just farmed for 4 days is just predatory.
The catalyst mandatory on any frame or weapon you r using there is no good way to farm them so you usually just buy it same with forma but easier to get.
You can buy any frame off the shop and some are impossible to get for less advanced ppl.
Bunch of pack allowing you to skip hundreds of hours of farm.
And it's not bc you can trade plat that it removed the predatory part of those systems.
@@xTazerTx "less advanced people"??? The only things in wf that require you to be "advanced" are eidolons and levelcap runs, the rest is simply trivial. Depending on the type of content it can take a lot of grinding to get something, but the amount of grinding is never over the top and never feels like it is forcing you into skipping it with plat(except for braton/lato vandal, but these two are quite mid even with incarnon so owning them is really just a flex and another extra 6000 mastery points)
@@yogetrekt8243 less advanced ppl means ppl who don't have access to sp and there is a surprisingly high number of ppl like that
Do we know for sure that our stash tabs are going to transfer over? Like our currency tab? I am not sure about this since they have gotten rid of certain currencies.
Professor conner arc
I did not play PoE1 or watched videos.
I will play PoE2 but know nothing and have no clue. I will watch your videos!
The more you understand about Poe the more stash tabs you will need.
yeah he lost me when he said 'its free'. 99% of players who have played 50 hours have bought stash tabs. you could say free to try definitely. but you couldnt even fit currency alone from 1 league in the free stash.
@@valjohnson7112 The 30 buck Early Access key gives you all the points you'll ever need if you get the right tabs on sail.
@@valjohnson7112 The Early Access key has the points to set you up if you get the right tabs on sail.
30:05 solid advice, thanks alot
If you are a new player dont listen to these ppl memeing about fishing. There IS fishing in the game, its in the professions tab
Nice fishing skills. 10/10
epic fishing tease!!!!! I love the Meme!
Love the ending :D
I don't about how the fishing will go but at least there is quality bait.
Iconic thumbnail 😂😂
Solid thumbnail
AI tools will make theory crafting builds not hurt my frontal lobe
Brother, the video cut out. How do I fish? It is confirmed to be in POE2?
For POE2, how is the selling system like? Do i still have to open the browser for more efficient mass selling?
great vid will defo be linking this to noobies
so yeah there are some editing issues in the videos, but basically for fishing all you have to do is
dude wtf is the effect when you move !? holy
Do you even get to maps anymore in POE2 :? Its default overworld Delve right :) mUHUHUAAA EPIC
Will there be video for the current flicker build??
Omfg you just saprano'd the hell out of us with fishing
After farming and dropping my first Anglers Plait while looking for Krillson I was excited to see anything new f***ing related in #10... alas the gaslighting continues.
I am a new player, so I downloaded poe1 the other day just to learn the buttons. Do you know if there is any way to change the movement away from the left mouse button or even the basic attacks, cause I had a problem with charging into a group of mobs from my basic attacks as a witch.
you can set your skills to cast without moving when u click them on the skill bar, change your left click from default attack to move only.
