So I feel like I've lost the pulse with things since I went to listen to a lot of other stuff outside of dubstep and edm. Why did we feel the need to create a new subgenre to differentiate it from dubstep, and how is it different? I know the bpm is a bit different, but that doesn't seem like enough of a reason.
