Not only was inflicted on the Russian people but after WW2 on the people of Eastern Europe - again though terror, intimidation, murder, rigged elections. The peoples real feelings poured out in 1989 - with the removal of the Berlin Wall etc. The Soviet Union was a huge prison. Thank God it has gone!
