    Just curious about kittens in your garden ? If you call your local shelter they should help guide you with the mom cat and kittens . you can’t just leave them . I found a kitten in the middle of a road and I really didn’t want to stop and help but I did and I was rewarded for my good deed . Your garden is gorgeous

    Has been such great weather for gardeners this year, besides the past couple weeks almost no watering, except for new plants. I have VERY well draining sandy soil so I'll take all the rain mother wants to give us lol.

      @@chadleybradley5268 I wouldn't mind getting rain like this every year. It has been very nice, minus the boom in mosquitos!

    Hello, your garden is beautiful ! I really like the fact you know all your plants and varieties, it's helpful when I see a plant that inspires me to look it up :)
    I'm amazed by your hellebore, it's huge ! Also your elephant ears, doing so well in zone 5 ! How big are their pots please ? I'm in zone 9, I keep them in pots that look smaller and I don't get so big leaves...perhaps you feed them with something special too ?

    • @laurelrosegardens6454
      @laurelrosegardens6454  20 дней назад +1

      Thank you! I don't know the exact measurements of the pots but they are pretty big. All 3 probably at least 20 inches or more. One is terracotta, one is glazed ceramic, and the other is plastic. The terracotta and ceramic are easier to keep watered. The bulbs are a few years old now so maybe that helps with size. I dig them out and store in the basement in a cardboard box over winter. We've also had lots of rain this year so that has helped too.

      Forgot to mention I also give them all purpose water soluble fertilizer about once per week when I fertilize all the annuals.

    Beautiful gardens! Love it! Thank you for sharing! Do you overwinter your caladiums? And if so, please share the method. Thank you kindly!

    • @laurelrosegardens6454
      @laurelrosegardens6454  18 дней назад

      Thank you! I have tried many times to overwinter caladiums but they almost always rot. I think I had one single corm survive last year. I dig them up, let them dry on a tray and then put them in paper lunch bags in the basement over winter but that method has not been successful for me. Perhaps you would need to store them in a medium that will keep them very dry in storage. Otherwise, I highly recommend Florida Boys Calladiums if you want to order new corms. Theirs are very good size and quality!

    • @laurelrosegardens6454
      @laurelrosegardens6454  29 дней назад +1

      Yeah some varieties don't have the best flowers. I have a couple that I let bloom for a bit for the bees but I cut them pretty quick.
