The Hu are amazing, the way they combine traditional Mongolian music with metal is beyond belief. As others said, check out original version of Wolf Totem (this one is amazing, but the original is even better), Yuve Yuve Yu and their cover of Sad But True by Metallica (even Metallica loved it)
You have to watch the original Wolf Totem video (read the translated lyrics), it makes you feel ready for battle. Had this group existed when I was in the military, I would have made it my company’s training song. 😁 The Song of Women with Lzzy Hale is awesome in a slightly different way. Softer, but no less powerful. Yuve Yuve Yu (you need to read the translated lyrics) and Bii Biyelgee (awesome to dance to) are both fantastic too. I love, absolutely love, their videos. They are movie quality. This is my new favorite group. I was stuck delayed at an airport, had them playing in an earbud, and it made all the difference in my patience levels. Much easier to handle chaos when you got good tunes. 😂
...and people scoffed when I used to tell them that metal meshes really well with traditional music. (This version is not bad, but the original hits harder.)
it IS throat singing, if you go on a deep-dive there's a 3 part special featuring the fact that they just were awarded a huge award in France for their contribution to education and promoting humanist beliefs - first ever Mongolians and first ever Rock/Metal artists to receive this award... it's called the Hu Citizens of the World and the documentary makers did a great job of featuring the members, instruments, musical styles and messages. :D (Side Note: there are more songs with "guest musicians" and by FAR Jacoby matched their message in their own song with his own the best... he absolutely embraced the message of their original song and it's translation.)

The Hu are INCREDIBLE, I own both of their albums and I listen to them all the time. They've also done a couple of Metallica covers(Sad But True as a single and Through The Never on the Metallica Blacklist album). Their music runs the gamut from heavy stuff like this to some slower and mellower songs too. "Shireg Shireg" from their first album and "Mother Nature" from their second are two of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Like other people have mentioned the standard version of Wolf Totem hits hard too (strongly suggest you watch the version with English subtitles as it makes it even more awesome. Yuve Yuve Yu is a fun one and Song of Women with Izzy Hale is very good. Great reaction and enjoy this new rabbit hole.
I think you gave them the best compliment any musician could ever ask for "My life is better just having heard this." Awesome. Just out WOLF TOTEM on its own, as well as Yvue Yvue Yu and The Song of Women.
I absolutely LOVE this song, but once I noticed that Jacoby's chorus had a strong rhythmic resemblance to Nightmare Before Christmas's "Pumpkin Song", it changed ever so slightly for me...
