Back in the 70's there was a classic Who story, many people rate it as one of their favourites, called Genesis of the Daleks. It's the story of how Davros created the Daleks, it was with the 4th Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith. Definitely one to watch.
We sure did. My daughter was only four years old at the time but was a MASSIVE Doctor fan. The Saturday the second episode was due to air, one of our cats was sick down the back of the T.V. and trashed it! We were not exactly rolling in money at the time, so we all had to go out, get a second-hand T.V. and take it back home in a taxi. My Husband said to the guy in the shop that his girls would NEVER forgive him if we could not watch it that evening. Well worth it, though.
There are so many little callbacks. The subwave was developed by the Mr Copper Foundation. Mr Copper was the old guy from the Titanic Christmas special. He clearly put his money to good use
At 5:05, it’s the return of Trinity Wells! She’s the news anchor for the Whoniverse - and is one of the few recurring characters to appear in all three shows. Played by Lachele Carl, she even appears in a couple of Torchwood audio adventures by Big Finish.
Never thought of this ianto didn’t have a reaction to the daleks but he was at the battle of Canary Wharf and had seen cybermen so must of seen daleks too
Davros (the creator of the Daleks) is another iconic Classic series villain (who you'll encounter at some point). This story throws in absolutely everything!
If you listen closely Harriet Jones says that the Subwave Network was developed by the “Mr Copper Foundation”. Mr Copper was the old man from the Titanic special who the Doctor left on Earth with £1M. He said he would make him proud and in turn helped develop the programme that would help him save the universe.
All the planet he mentioned are the lost planets we heard about before Moon of Push in Midnight Clum in LINDA That one in The unicorn & the wasp etc...
According to RTD, Time War Daleks & presumably these ones (since Davros was last in the Time War before Caan rescued him, and Davros, like with Iron Man suits always keeps what works & improves what doesn't, so it's logical he'd incorporate the inhibitors if he could) have regeneration inhibitors (like if the Hartnell Doctor got exterminated by a regeneration inhibitor blast, then he'd be as dead as if he was a human or a timelord on their last life), also RTD suggested that the Doctor was lucky that he was only grazed rather than hit square in the chest and that's why he was able to regenerate. The cliffhanger was huge back in 2008, like in classic who there were regenerations during a series but this was the first to have regeneration mid story (save for the 1996 TV movie but that's a grey area in that was meant to be a pilot to a US 90s New Who, but keep it as as a continuation to classic who, had first few mins with the McCoy Doctor), being a part 2 out of 3 or part 1 out of 2 depending on how you count Turn Left. have a feeling you'll like the new Doctor though
I've always thought that Harriet Jones was at least somewhat justified in shooting down the Sycorax ship, or that at a bare minimum her reasoning was understandable. The Doctor was certainly out of line in getting her removed from office, and the unintended consequence of his actions was The Master being elected PM rather than the Golden Age that the 9th Doctor had talked about Harriet Jones leading the U.K. into.
Fun Fact : Billie and David had gone months without seeing each other, and no one told David that she was on set, so his reaction was genuine happiness
Great episode... very exciting... brilliant to c them all together.. .. love davros, one of my favorite baddies from classic.... Sarah met him back in mid 70s episode...
Finally. I was waiting for this episode so long. 😁 In my opinion it is still better crossover than MCU and Arrowverse together. 😁 Love this reaction. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
Why wouldn't the Doctor regenerate after being shot by a Dalek, just because it's not quite the end of the series? The first and fifth Doctors regenerated mid-season. Time Lords just happen to have 2 hearts, it's not that that allows them to regenerate.
Doctor Who is basically a kids show but it's really a family show for both kids and adults alike but part of it's charm is it's childish silliness it's not Doctor Who without it. Torchwood was made completely for adults i'm personally not a Torchwood fan. The Sarah Jane Adventures is made completely for kids although some adults seem to like it i personally couldn't get into it as much as i liked Sarah Jane.
The first season is definitely more aimed towards kids. But if you can make it halfway through season 2, the rest of the show is ridiculously good. I slept on the show for years and finally binged it a few months ago. I honestly like it better than Torchwood now. Especially the episodes with David Tennant, Matt Smith, Brigdier, and Jo Grant.
They wrote her like that as a contrast to Martha’s jealousy over her. They were jealous of each other and never knew it. Unfortunately, the way they wrote it, it just made Rose seem whiny.
Welcome to your first introduction to Davros who is another one of Doctor Who's oldest and greatest iconic villains and is the creator of the Daleks. Yes the Doctor said he was 90 years old as a kid as The Doctor is 903 years old by this point Time Lords age slower than humans. The thing that really annoys me about Rose was her constant jealousy The Doctor has had many female companions i also didn't think she needed to return as i thought she had a satisfying enough ending which kind of spoils it not every companion needs a happy ending.

I have series 12 on dvd
The whole of the UK lost its collective mind for a week after that cliffhanger when this aired in 2008.

One of the longest weeks of all time waiting for episode 13, it was on the news as well😂
Sarah Jane knows Davros. She was there at the beginning.
There are so many little callbacks. The subwave was developed by the Mr Copper Foundation. Mr Copper was the old guy from the Titanic Christmas special. He clearly put his money to good use
ahh- I'm pretty sure some callbacks went over my head

This is Doctor Who's Infinity War haha
Your excitement over Harriet Jones (and all the crossovers) made my day!
I honestly forgot about her for a little bit until I watched this episode. It was amazing!
@@jaydoesreactions I was excited, too. I love Harriet Jones. I cosplayed her once.
Never thought of this ianto didn’t have a reaction to the daleks but he was at the battle of Canary Wharf and had seen cybermen so must of seen daleks too
yea true
"Yesss, We Know Who You Are." The perfect punchline for the running gag.
The Shadow Proclamation was first mentioned in the first episode of Series 1, and various other times since.
Davros (the creator of the Daleks) is another iconic Classic series villain (who you'll encounter at some point).
This story throws in absolutely everything!
In Series 1, the whole screen went negative, as a callback to Classic Who, but since Doomsday, only the body does.
Never really noticed that!

I totally agree with you. I feel like 9th Doctor liked Harriet jones more than the 10th doctor
Daleks are mutants of the Kaled race designed by the mad scientist Davros in order to survive a war that was going to kill the species.
Fun Fact : Billie and David had gone months without seeing each other, and no one told David that she was on set, so his reaction was genuine happiness
Daleks aren't male or female, though Dalek Sec and the Emperor were referred to as 'him'.
I am so excited for you to see this. . .
The cast could travel to other locations, but the story needs them in their Series' set.
They couldn't just travel to other locations as the planet was swarming with Daleks.
Great episode... very exciting... brilliant to c them all together.. .. love davros, one of my favorite baddies from classic.... Sarah met him back in mid 70s episode...
Best reaction so far!! Glad u enjoyed it so much x
I know a lot of focus is rightly placed on the reactions of Jack and Sarah Jane, but Ianto silently reminds you about Canary Wharf.
22:12 It would be great if they were all in a scene together, in the TARDIS or something.
Finally. I was waiting for this episode so long. 😁 In my opinion it is still better crossover than MCU and Arrowverse together. 😁 Love this reaction. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰

Time Lords just happen to have 2 hearts, it's not that that allows them to regenerate.
But i don't think Jay would be aware of the mid season regens yet so maybe a bit unfair.
Sarah Jane is crying because she is about to lose Luke.
Doctor Who is basically a kids show but it's really a family show for both kids and adults alike but part of it's charm is it's childish silliness it's not Doctor Who without it.

Yeah Daleks are wotsit - gender neutral!
I don't like Rose for her jealousy.
They wrote her like that as a contrast to Martha’s jealousy over her. They were jealous of each other and never knew it. Unfortunately, the way they wrote it, it just made Rose seem whiny.
