There's one Dalek in season 8, in the Into the Dalek episode.

The doctor who team had to beg a lot of collectors/private collections to use there daleks I also remember hearing a story around release that people were going to the Cardiff exhibition and all the daleks weren’t there as used so many styles of dalek

Missy's quote: " The friend inside the enemy. The enemy inside the friend." being juxtaposed with the shot of the Doctor and Davros walking hand in hand. The Doctor walking away at the end with the Dalek weapon in one hand and Davros in the other and the little detail of Davros holding the sonic screwdriver. Its top tier writing. the only issue i have with this episode was Missy not really being used enough and the fact that Davros really did try to trick the Doctor. Not sure how they could have changed the script but it might have been interesting if Davros really did change his tune in the end. This season is one of my favs so its cool that it starts on such a unique note. This episode also retroactively explains that moment where a Dalek was so scared of River it begged for mercy in the finale of season 5.

There's a theory that the choice to use sonic sunglasses was influenced by Capaldi's insistence on keeping the costume of 12th simple, so children could easily pretend to be the Doctor on the playground (the sunglasses part is just theorised, but Mark Gatiss confirmed the costume part)

Some of the episodes were released in movie theaters. I saw this one through Marcus special screenings series. Since widescreen HD this became more feasible. The 12th Doctor is back to being a more classic Doctor but with current production quality. There was always something that made him cool. The real guitar playing is this Doctor's way to warm up a crowd. The Daleks were introduced in Season 1 Story 2 and were a hit right away. Davros was introduced (as you can see) in the 4th Doctor era with three more appearances in the classic series. One planet that disappeared in the 10th Doctor story was a 4th Doctor era missing planet. Classic series stories were from 4 up to 10 episodes but not many stories per season. The new series has more stories but shorter. To have longer stories then we can have multi part and story arcs. Before video and streaming this was harder to work with.

Fun Fact: Capaldi actually played the Electric Guitar in the axe fight clip. Capaldi was in a band when he was young and wanted his Doctor to play it too

I hope you don't quit Dr who when you reach jodie , just please remember each Dr is different I understand if you do , but in my opinion I've loved every doctor and every season so far

Michelle Gomez, the Actress playing Missy is phenomenal. Missy will forever be my favorite regeneration of The Master

There are also 2 minisodes (the only Capaldi ones) that lead into this episode. “Series 9 Prologue” and “The Doctor’s Meditation”. The Sisterhood of Karn is indeed the same sisterhood and actress we saw in Night of the Doctor, where 8 turned into the War Doctor.

This is my all-time favorite season of Who! You’re in for a ride.

My favourite Christmas special this one. I love the concept of the dream crabs. That scene at the end where the Doctor says “All of time and all of space waiting out there in a big blue box! That gave me chills and reminded me of the 3rd & 4th Doctors. Peter Capaldi is the best.

Yes it's The actual Master he/she regenerated off-screen at some point after the events of David Tennant's last episode "The End of Time" when he was sent back to Gallifrey as he was attacking Rassilon with his superpowers. The Master was always a corrupted evil Time Lord even in Classic Who.

Timelords can alter their sex when they regenerate - Missy is great

I really enjoy season 7 over all, and also love Matt Smith as the doctor! There was just something about him that also made me emotional.

This is the first time I've seen a reactor actually correlate the fact that the creature is called a "shadow" by the driver - and that's what it does. It shadows the people it encounters, copies them... chills. Excellent observation. "He's about to get humbled." Very perceptive. The Doctor NEEDS his human companions to keep him in touch with the humans around him. Without her at his side, his arrogance and curiosity and all the things that are usually to his advantage become dangerous to him. The creature didn't move into the Doctor. It started controlling him, forcing him to repeat. He's shaking and struggling SO HARD to regain control of his own body. It went from copying, to synchronizing, to controlling - forcing him to repeat her so that the group would think he was the monster. The sad thing is - none of these people are crazy. They're just human and flawed and reacting out of panic. That hug between Donna and the Doctor - he needed it so bad. He's clearly traumatized. His response to her repeating him is because of what he just went through, the repetition is triggering to him. Love your reaction here, very well done!

The 8th doctor stories are mostly big finish audio dramas n the tv movie n this should check his big finish stories out.

I'll be honest I swore a lot at your questioning whether the Orient Express was real. But I took a step back. It's good for me to remember that not everybody's cultural and literary experiences are the same as mine. It was a great reaction, though. And this and Flatline are two of my favourite Capaldi episodes. They just shimmer.
