Sistah, you did it again! I was trying to find an analogy to really explain what these videos do to me, so please bare with me: My mind is like a sheet of metal and these songs have been hammered into my mind so many times, their outline is now clearly defined and no longer make any dents when I listen to them. But it's better than the first time I heard them, because now I have a more refined musical understanding and more maturity, more open mindedness. You being so open to us and not hiding your emotions allows me to project your emotions onto me and amplify the shock of the music and the emotional charge. It is seeing someone experiencing the same feelings you had when hearing it for the first time, but for you it already has memories attached to it. Same for me especially since my mom died that same year. I cannot listen to it without a tear in my eye since the breakup of nightwish and after that my mom passed away. I totally get that analogy you make.
They sung the best version of Phantom of the Opera I'd ever heard, of course for those who love this type of music! I adore it, Tarja has a stunning voice, so dramatic, so loud, powerful projection, so theatrical, so damn good ... She's Divine!
Tarja didn't audition for Nightwish, Tuomas and Emppu went to ring her doorbell and asked her whether she'd like to join. She said yes and the rest is history. Tuomas didn't know the extent of her voice until they were recording their first song for the first demo.

Fun fact. As good as she sounds in this show, on the night of this show she was fighting off the flu. However, this was one of the Arenas they've always dreamed of playing so she pushed forward.
Great reaction, always love watching this performance! I have to correct you on a couple of things though - Tarja didn't exactly audition for Nightwish, she and Tuomas and Emppu founded Nightwish, they knew each other somewhat and Tarja was basically the only singer in the town they lived in, so it was natural that they came together. Originally Tuomas' idea for the band was to be an accoustic folk band, however they quickly evolved into metal because Tarja's voice was so powerful. Also Phantom of the Opera was not on Angels Fall First, it was on Century Child, which was their fourth album - this was also the first album Marco was a part of, before that the bass player was Sami Vänskä who did not sing, so when Marco joined the band they were able to do a lot more harmonizing and more duets, also Tuomas didn't want to sing anymore, which he in fact did on Angels Fall First.
Its time for Within Temptation - Paradise ft Tarja! That way you will get to hear more of her voice while introducing her to the 2nd biggest female-fronted band :)
That song is a nice gateway to Within Temptation for sure! Sort of reminds me of Sancta Terra by Epica (with Floor) as a way to bridge to a different great band.
Always great to watch her how she feels the music. I got goosebumps and teary eyes too with this song. That Tarja's ending high note is D6, which is quite brave trick to do for any soprano at LIVE recording gig, because chance of failure is pretty high. Marco sang his own solo number also in this concert; Pink Floyd's High Hopes. You may like to listen it too. It's beautiful song and great cover version. I just wonder what will happen if you guys do the Poet and the Pendulum... Because even it's dark song it's so emotional too, has so beautiful orchestration, especially those violins at the ending part, Mother & Father. So beautiful melodies... I cry like a baby every time I listen to it, no matter if it's the album version with Anette or live with Floor. Also I can't wait you to react to the Greatest Show On Earth - so spectacular and epic show in Tampere, Finland 2015!
Agreed on all counts! I have a hunch "The Pendulum" is swinging closer. :)) I have seen it requested at every turn (by myself included ;)). For a "feel-good cry-song" (if that makes sense), I would also stand by my earlier recommendation of "Ever Dream" (possibly with Tarja, but especially with Floor!).
If you like Pink Floyd. Nightwish did a cover of Pink Floyds song High Hopes from this same concert. It is unbelievable. Maybe you could play both versions to see what Nightwish did to the song to make it their own. Before everybody goes nuts. I am not saying they did it better, just different. Hope you get feeling better..........

As a Christmas celebration you should try Marco and Floor singing live “Ave Maria”! So beautiful ! Keep Nightwish reactions coming please!! It’s been too long since GLS !
Grat reaction. As much as I'd love to watch you listen more Floor, I'm also glad to bring Tarja for Sistah to compare. Some 'fun' facts: 1) Floor actualy did this song twice (well several times) on Christmas metal symphony 2008 with Russel Allen and same gig 2013 with Joacim Cans. Sadly it was not officially filmed, but in your free time without camera you could try crowd camera version. They don't sound that bad. 2) If you wanna hear Floor and Tarja together on one stage, they actually did Over the Hills and Far Away together in 2013 in Belgium. Basicly to shut media up for trying to make some publicity out of NW changing singer again, and trying to inicite them agains each other, because they are friends since 2002 when Floor with her band After Forever was NW's warm-up band. Media stopped after that gig. Sadly it is also crowd camera only, but it is interesting to see both of them together. (BTW Sadly sound technician on that show was 4ss#0le) Next please some more Floor: NW - Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembey 2015 (originally sang in studio album by Anette, but don't bother with her - definitely not live. She was good on studio albums, but live... that is another story)
There is my man! How almost no one remembers or quotes "Meadows of Heaven", is beyond me. Is it because of it being a ballad? But what an epic build and outpouring of soul! FULL FULL SUPPORT, and I do not often write in caps! That is the song to "rehabilitate" Anette, she was very good in what matched fer skill set, and here's the proof!
This is one of my favorite Nightwish performances. It is very iconic. In addition, the parallel that is possible between the history of Nightwish and the story told by the musical is very interesting. Tarja would be Christine and Tuomas would be the Phantom. In the musical's history, the Phantom is in love with Christine. It is an unrequited and stormy love. In addition, the Phantom is heard through Christine when she sings his compositions. The story of Nightwish is marked by dramas and many say that Tuomas suffered from an unrequited love for Tarja. Tuomas used to say that Tarja was the voice that best expressed his feelings. The lyrics of songs in Tarja's day were often very confessional. Christine was the voice of the Phantom, while Tarja was the voice of Tuomas. In the musical, the Phantom disputes Cristine with Raoul. At Nightwish, Marcelo (Tarja's current husband) said that Tuomas disputed Tarja's love (read the answer he gave to question 36 of the fans). Nightwish's choice to cover The Phantom of the Opera, just the part where Christine and the Phantom sing together, seems to be a very interesting coincidence, or who knows, it might even be a choice made by the unconscious, if the situation is viewed from a psychoanalytic perspective.
:D I dont understand some of you guys ( i already know maybe know of your nicnames ) who comment all these videos with comments like "Please Ghost love score 2015 and so on " This is a video of Phantom of the opera with Tarja :) So you can enjoy the reaction and performance or just fuck out :) Nobody is interested in your spam comments you add on all of this kind of videos :) I love Floor and she is an amazing singer, but I am pretty sure she would not want to have some of you as her fans :) No talking about the hating comments on Tarja's videos and so on :) You (some of you ) should finally grow up :)
I implore you to make Nightwish - The poet and the pendulum live at Wembley please. I love your reacts, sistah is an angel. Please people help me for they seing this
I said this on another Nightwish reaction video: *This is what happens when classically trained musicians become metalheads.* It is spectacular. Both genres have power, energy, raw emotion, and (good) metal even has the sophistication that opera is known for. On the outside, these two genres seem incredibly dissimilar, yet they blend so amazingly well- especially when the storytelling aspect of opera is left in. Symphonic Metal, AKA Operatic Metal is one of my favorite genres, for sheer musicality!
I think it's too bad that Anette never got much love from Nightwish fans. Dark Passion Play was written for a timbre like Tarja's, which is very different. The writing was also subpar IMO. The following album which was written for Anette's voice, Imaginaerum, was also a little uneven writing-wise but when it was good, god damn it was good. Anette really shined on that album. Storytime, Scaretale, Rest Calm, Last Ride of the Day, and Song of Myself (absent the weird poetry at the end) are fantastic tracks. If you're taking Sistah on a Nightwish journey through history, you have to give Anette some love. It's also when the band grew even more in popularity despite the shallow misgivings about the singer.
Many true words spoken. I just would not say that ALL of "Dark Passion Play" was written for Tarja (although some of the other songs were added with her in mind anyway... "Bye Bye Beautiful" and OF COURSE "The Poet and the Pendulum"). But naturally, part of it was FOR her - the music for an album is composed over time, so some must have been done before the fallout happened. I would not call "Dark Passion Play" sub-par as much as dark and kind of "abrasive" (for lack of a better word) - just listen to some of the riffs. Was fully intentional to keep it that way, I believe. "Imaginaerum" is much better developed as a consistent lyrical story, and has those parts I call "incredible highs" (fans will get the pun), that are so dear to revisit. Overall, "Anette era" was not a failure musically as much as it was a let-down compared to what many people expected, with adjustment of musical style and all. With the benefit of time, this period in the band's history looks better than similar parts of, say, JUDAS PRIEST's or IRON MAIDEN's careers (as far as replacing iconic singers).
One night which song that I would really like to see you react to is while your lips are still red as it is A acoustic song sung by Marco if you want to hear how angelic his voice can be

Why not all same Nightwish songs in from "From Wishes to Eternity" and "End of an Era" with "Showtime Storytime" for overall assessments by technical and artistic merits?
I adore nightwish my all time favourite band! However the telling of how they formed is slightly wrong as the tarja and tuomas were at school together, tarja never auditioned for the band. They just started nightwish together originally as a folk band. Anette was the only singer that had to audition out of all three singers.. I will never get old of hearing Tarjas beautiful song and such a good choice for you to review. Have you reviewed any with Anette?
Could you do a reaction to Dead boy's poem please. A song that Floor also did live in their Decades tour but in my opinion the Tarja version is better. Floor does some other songs better than Tarja but Dead boy's poem belongs to Tarja. Why Dead boy's poem? Because everybody reacts to the same numbers and this and other songs also deserve attention
Anette not fitting to nightwish? I bag to differ! Tuomas has the ability to pin point a song to the chest of a singer... even with anette is not that operatic compared to Tarja or Floor, she was briliant in the amaranth album... okay haven't seen her live but with everithing less then perfect, the band wouldn't have startet the tour...
ahh... another one who is trapt in the past.. you know that she had her own career (going forward and not be keept in the past !) good for her, love her new songs (had a family (son) and a happy life after NW, so all is good now) and Anette too
I can't get over how she gets so totally lost when Nightwish hits her ears. But can't blame her and I listened to this band from the 90s as I am from Finland and started instantly when they started to listen to them.

Nice introduction. One little thing though. Phantom of the opera was on their fourth album which was released in 2003.
They decided to do metal instead of acoustics because they felt like her voice was too big for the acoustic stuff :)
*"Phantom of the Opera" is on the album "Century Child", which was released in 2002.*
*"ONCE" , their last album with Tarja, came out in 2004.*
Pleaseeeeeeee, The poet and the Pendulm with FLOOR!!!!!!! Please pretty Please!!!

you are crazy she would not support the theme of the song but the reaction will be interesting
@@ericg6306 IMO wembley 2015 is better
@@SendoJuuso That is Wembley. I think the year in the title is just wrong.

I LOVE watching you Sistah, you just straight up bleed emotion when you watch this stuff, it's beautiful
Mmmmwwwwaaahhh!😘😘😘💖
As a Christmas celebration you should try Marco and Floor singing live “Ave Maria”! So beautiful ! Keep Nightwish reactions coming please!! It’s been too long since GLS !
YES! Definitely!!!
Please do sleeping sun buy them u will love it and she will cry
Grat reaction. As much as I'd love to watch you listen more Floor, I'm also glad to bring Tarja for Sistah to compare.
Some 'fun' facts:
1) Floor actualy did this song twice (well several times) on Christmas metal symphony 2008 with Russel Allen and same gig 2013 with Joacim Cans.
(BTW Sadly sound technician on that show was 4ss#0le)
Next please some more Floor: NW - Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembey 2015
(originally sang in studio album by Anette, but don't bother with her - definitely not live. She was good on studio albums, but live... that is another story)
THE BEST: TARJA TURUNEN!
CHILLS ME, SO MUCH EMOTION IN THE VOICE OF THIS GREAT TALENTED WOMAN! 🔝🔝🔝❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏
Tarja is the most beautiful and perfect singer of world.....
Listen to Meadows of Heaven for your first Nightwish song with Anette. That song makes me tear up every single time.
Saw them live last saturday in this same arena. Still can't believe it. And it was a worldtour ending gig as well....
Me too! It was an amazing show!

Do Kamelot - Love you to Death!
That will make sistah cry
Please react to the best duet ever Within Temptation Somewhere
I just subscribed to your channel love all your reactions!! Keep Nightwish reactions coming!!
Welcome aboard! ♥
try nightwish- song of myself wacken 2013 or tampere 2015
THE ISLANDER! for moar Marco amazing ESS!
One night which song that I would really like to see you react to is while your lips are still red as it is A acoustic song sung by Marco if you want to hear how angelic his voice can be
This is the Nightwish I fell in love with!!!!!
Don´t get me wrong, I love Anette and Floor of course, but it's nice to hear this song again and remember the old times...
Make Sistah Cry
Pain Of Salvation - Iter Impius & Martius Nauticus II (LIVE)
Or their song Vocari Dei from the same album
I use to think Floor was good when i first got into Nightwish, which Floor IS! But NOT AFTER HEARING TARJA!!!!! Tarja is on ANOTHER HIGHER LEVEL ABOVE FLOOR!!!!!! 😬WOW!!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😀👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome react. The Rime of ancient mariner by Iron Maiden. Great song.
I feel like you need to put in Arch Enemy- I am legend/out for blood for a love/hate segment.
Tarja - Ave Maria Paolo Tosti. In this song, Tarja sings in her Classical mode, you must react to this
Comfortably Numb live version! Pulse
That's also a song you would love!! @Halflifesistah make you tear up perhaps how beautiful epic this partially solo is at the end 😍
Oh this was totally worth the wait!! But you have GOT to check out Nightwish - The Greatest Show On Earth (Live Tampere 2015) --- the sheer beauty of that song will have you in tears on top of Floor and Marcos amazing voices. Pleaaaaase! It'd be a wonderful Christmas present :)
I hear that one is amazing too, is suggested everywhere.
@@themplar The "Holy Trinity" of NIGHTWISH epics: "Ghost Love Score" (checked in spades); "The Poet and the Pendulum" (supposedly coming, omg); "The Greatest Show on Earth" (inevitable, nobody has withstood the fan pressure, and all are better for it!). And afterwards - 8 more albums of NIGHTWISH awesomeness. The Sistah is on to something. :))
...and the best way to explore the third singer of Nightwish - Scaretale! Lets do it!
I say "Meadows of Heaven" for all she could give... bur "Scaretale" live has cool vocal acting from both Annette and Marco, so not a bad place to start. :)
Big G...best Nightwish albums are (for me) both with Anette - not even one bad song. But Floor is like non stop jackpot...
Hope you're feeling better. Wolf is a great guy. Many blessings to you guys!
You know what... SHE IS GETTING BETTER EVERYTIME SHE IS SINGING IT
she does...
The greatest show on earth, please !!!!!
I loved his face throughout the video, it just radiates love for Nightwish. Especially at 4:15, where he's like "You have no idea what you're getting yourself into". Thumbs up :)
Wolf ,No True Nightwish Fan Would Ever Be Disappointed With Tarja Reactions ! By All Means Keep Them Coming!! I Myself Am Awaiting The Poet And The Pendulum. Sistah Will Lose It !A Very Long ,Beautiful Masterpiece Originally Recorded With Anette Olzon( She was Epic Here By The Way)Someone Please Correct Me If I Am Wrong This Song Was Written By Tuomas In Relation To What He Was Feeling When Tarja Left And The Resulting Negative Fan Reaction ,As This Band Was His Baby If You Will , But Anyway You Will Lose Your Train Of Thought While Listening To this Song ,It is An Emotional Roller Coaster !Only Nightwish Could Compose Such A Work Of Art ! The Very Best Way To Take This Journey Is With Floor Live At Wembley !

Oh honey, if you plan on doing The Poet and the Pendulum, you better have several boxes of tissues handy.
They neglected that part for "Ghost Love Score"... lesson learned, perhaps? :)

Speaking of Pink Floyd, nightwish also covered high hopes by Pink Floyd, their bassist Marco sang the whole thing.
This song is off of Century Child; Marco Hietela's first album with them. I'm glad you'll be doing The Poet and the Pendulum with Floor. Wolf I'm sure you have heard Annette's version. Floor brings it to another level.
Please check out The Greatest Show on Earth though! It's their 24 minute epic from Floor's album! It's sure to make both of you cry!
Dang it! How did I confuse it with Beauty and the Beasts 🤦♂️ thanks for the correction
Yes. Please do the Live version from Wembley Arena...

Wonderful reaction. Please react to Tarja Turunen Supremacy live at Woodstock 2016
Live at Hellfest is even better, but i like Woodstock performance as well
Hellfest or Act2 are much better versions, Woodstock is actually not a good version, she breaks her high note there.
u guy;s should check the band called epica they are from holand dutch symphonic metal very good music just like nightwish but little heavier with the singer simone simons & she is best friends with floor jansen & nightwish & another band called delain too another symphonic metal also sound like nightwish & best friends with nightwish & epica the singer called charlotte wessel , so please check them out !
React to The Siren and Ghost love score with Tarja
Ghost love score by Tarja doesn't add up to Floor's rendition
Why not all same Nightwish songs in from "From Wishes to Eternity" and "End of an Era" with "Showtime Storytime" for overall assessments by technical and artistic merits?
@@dalia1598 Thanks for the tolerance of difference of tastes & opinions of others. Your adult response is much appreciated
This was my first time hearing this song as well....IT WAS FUCKING AWESOME
Because everybody reacts to the same numbers and this and other songs also deserve attention
also deep purple child in time PLEASE
Anette not fitting to nightwish? I bag to differ! Tuomas has the ability to pin point a song to the chest of a singer... even with anette is not that operatic compared to Tarja or Floor, she was briliant in the amaranth album... okay haven't seen her live but with everithing less then perfect, the band wouldn't have startet the tour...
Also Tarja's last song with the band ever!
Hopefully you guys could react to Late Redemption by Angra, it's really different and "gothic" with a duet, nice react there
OH my god!!! great reaction!! This maybe sounds bad haha but i love when you start crying xD
You should watch some Within Temptation, some are bouncy and some will make you cry but they r fab xx
Tarja is a killer. 🤩 She almost outdid herself here in this epic performance. 🙏 She’s still the queen of Nightwish and will always be. Amen. 🙏 ❤️🕺🥂👍
ahh... another one who is trapt in the past.. you know that she had her own career (going forward and not be keept in the past !)
good for her, love her new songs (had a family (son) and a happy life after NW, so all is good now) and Anette too
@@AntaryDraconis I’m not trapped in the past fore sure but for me the true NW-spirit died when she left. And yes, she does great as solo.
Please check a really different song from Nightwish : while your lips are still red And ofcourse all the floorgasm songs.
I can't get over how she gets so totally lost when Nightwish hits her ears. But can't blame her and I listened to this band from the 90s as I am from Finland and started instantly when they started to listen to them.
Have sistha listen to Gary Moores over the hills and far away.... And then nightwish cover of the same song...
