      I put mine in the dryer (while it's already dry to begin with, unless I'm trying to shrink it.) Especially my BJJ belt cuz they're so thick they stay stiffer longer.

    Great timing, I'm going to have my graduation in 2 or 3 weeks and I hate it when belts are too stiff. But first, I think I'll have to do this with my old white belt I need for Kobudo, which I haven't used for years and was in my closet being folded all the time.
    Oh no, the abs-joke...Can you knot?...ok, that joke was lame

    I actually love stiff belts. I don't do Karate, and the belt is wider, but I am hating my black belt is loosing its stiffness (it is stiffer than the colour ones, different material). I guess its part of the journey and shows the training, but man, I loved it stiff brand new and full dark black...

    Or you could simply pull the ends sideways through the belt that has been wrapped around your waist. I started doing this when a new belt kept getting undone. Problem solved. Belt is softer now, but I still wear it like that simply because I prefer it not flapping around.

    Hey Mister Enkamp
    Greetings from switzerland.
    I have a question about belt exams.
    I just startet with Karate in the first week of octobre on a holiday in spain. We trained two to three hours a Day for five days.
    On the last Day my sensei asked if i want to do the 8 and 9 kyu as i have shown in the practice that There ist some Talent... So far so good ...
    Now i am in my third Week oft Training back in switzerland and There is a Girl who trained for three month and obviously has more practice than i do.
    Somehow i feel i don't deserve the yellow belt when i Look at her in the white belt doing better in class than i do. Would you go back to white or stick to yellow ?

    • @KARATEbyJesse
      @KARATEbyJesse  6 лет назад +1

      No, you need to trust your sensei’s judgement. Don’t compare yourself to others.
