I purchased 5 new cars for this tournament and 2 opened cars. The opened cars ended up being faster. Two of the unopened (new) cars had bad bent rear axles such that they could barely roll; disappointing to say the least. This is an impressive showing. Very cool, very cool. And super fun to watch. 🤩😎🍺🍺🍺 The wheels on the new Motown Shaker I tore-open were so wobbly I couldn't believe my eyes. lol.
Yeah, I'm glad I didn't go crazy with these and just tested what I already had, it's probably going to suck but it is what it is. 10 extra points for Ron Swanson, that vegan bacon clip is gold 😁

Ya the Quality Control is in the bottom of the tank on a lot of the JLs. Pretty frustrating to the Racer as you well know they aren't exactly cheap usually.....nevertheless.....some gr8 races if you blind the clock.....wonder wagon should do well here
A guide on How to Spend $500 Searching for Speed. Good Title for this video. Most new people do not realize the amount of money that has to be spent to find a fast stock car. 🚗 Waiting for an anything goes custom race.
Well, I can say I didn’t have $500 in this lot… I’m pretty patient when it comes to buying diecast which helps in the cost dept. But I won’t buy another JL F/C. But it is possible to spend a load looking for fast stockers for sure!

It was running 2.29’s… most of my gatekeepers were at high 2.29’s BEFORE the swap to seamless, and most cars seem to be about 10 thou faster on it.
I wish this video came out about 2 months ago! I bought a few JL funny cars thinking they would be fast: the inside of the wheels have that 1mm lip which means less friction/more speed right? But nope, all slow. Even with worked wheels 😫 .....and i sent one to compete at your track 🤦🏻♂️
It actually breaks down into 3 sections. So in theory, it’s movable. But it hasn’t moved since we installed the new garage door a year and a half ago… 😂
Well you had a few that I haven’t seen before. I tested 16 or more of these little bricks and not very impressed like you. Most are janky and even the lube doesn’t help much. I got one going to the race though…🐢

that is the same thing I found... The ones I had were so bad I had to drop out of the race. Total junk... good looking cars but don't roll.

They are also Noodly! Almost like they need to run on a narrow or track.
They are very narrow castings. That and wobbly wheels are not a combo for speed.

Hey Brandon, do you plan on doing races with the other 4 lanes, or just with the two main lanes?
I may eventually do a large format race and use the other lanes. But 1 and 2 are my timed lanes, so they get priority.

These cars are a crap shoot. If you are lucky enough to buy just one and it is fast, you should go out and buy a lottery ticket!
