I like how Drolta spent most of their conversations trying to bully Olrox into pledging himself to Erzsebet and he returns the favor by chucking flaming skulls at her during her fight with Richter. I can't wait for him to give Erzsebet the middle finger in future seasons.
Olrox has been around for a while, he’s seen plenty of narcissists with delusions of grandeur. I love how 1000% done he is with people (vampires especially) puffing themselves up.
Several things I picked up about Orlox that i love about him: he understood the value of building alliances and working w the opposition, it is incredibly likely he had slaughtered more than his fair share of conquestadors and zealots, Mizrak is definitely not the first warrior monk Orlox has gone to bed w, he has no delusions that he is wo sin or that his hands are clean and I am inclined to believe he has seen his fair share of Vampires underestimate humans, speakers, Belmonts etc and paid the price for it. All in all I need more of him in my life
One thing I really liked about Olrox is how secure he feels in who he is and how much he understands the type of person he is as well. There are two pretty good examples of this in the show. Firstly, in episode six when Olrox overheads Edouard singing, he tells Mizrak, “He’s threatening you.” Olrox doesn’t feel like he’s being threatened or that he has any chance of a threat. That’s how secure he feels in who he is. Another time we see this is in episode five when Drolta asks him if he will be next in pledging allegiance to Erzsebet. Olrox just says, “I’ve never been a believer, of any kind.” That’s really cool. For him to be able to state that to Erzsebet’s second in command - who he already knows loves and worships her - takes a lot of ego strength but also an understanding of his own standing. Then, immediately after that, he boldly says, “Maybe I need to see to believe.” It’s such an underplay. What’s he’s basically stating is, “I need to see to believe, so all your hype means nothing to me, and it might even diminish my feelings about it.” That is an exceptionally strong statement and, if Drolta had had a weaker ego strength, she might have seen it as a challenge.
I actually think that every scene Olrox was in this season actually had him steal the moment. He’s a badass fighter. His story is actually very compelling and interesting. I’m can’t wait to see what he has in store for the remainder of this series.
@@darenedjuissi idk it’s kinda weird. The purpose of Olrox was for Richter to get revenge on him for killing his mom. So him being cut out of the next season or the series doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense.
In the next season it will be difficult to choose between Alucard and Olrox. The first is the most beautiful and iconic character, the second the most fascinating, mysterious and charismatic. I hope they both turn out perfect.
The way he was animated when "bowing" (I use quotation marks because his spirit was indeed unwavering) was FANTASTIC - his face was resilient & rightfully ANGRY and I loved it.
Olrox is definitely my third favorite character behind Alucard. We all know nobody’s surpassing Isaac, that’s for sure. Isaac was definitely the most coolest character out of any character in the Castlevania series.
I have never seen this show. Not one single episode. Came across this video randomly at 3 am. That said, I Stans sassy vampire who ran out of fucks to give two centuries ago. Love Olrox, he’s officially my spirit animal
It was cool to see him use his magic attacks from the game and kept the purple clothes. Making him turn into a Quetzalcoatl instead of a big green lizard was a far better choice, even supported by making him Aztec while also still staying true to the enemy roster of the franchise. They paid ALOT of attention.
I love how Olrox's heritage is so crucial in determining his character. He's among the very few vampires we meet not on a mission of mass conquest. He seems to despise the hunger for power many vampires choose to feed, since he's been a victim of it in the past. He knew what it was like to be powerless before he had any real power. And sure, he feeds like any other vampire, but he targets the wealthy. He feeds on those who have too much already. He feeds on the kinds of people who would commit the crimes once done to him. And his most villainous act was killing Julia Belmont, which he only did to settle a score. If he were truly malicious, he'd have killed Richter too. He only promised to kill Richter because he viewed it as a forgone conclusion that Richter would grow up to seek revenge, and Olrox's only choice for survival would be to kill him.
Yes, absolutely. You’ve hit the nail on the head! Olrox’s heritage and his past is why he doesn’t bow to the sight of power. Why he isn’t in adoration of things that are powerful, or elite, or that everyone else will worship. Why gods don’t matter to him. He has seen what happens at the hands of people that say that they know the answer, that they are powerful, that they are gods or that god is making them do this. He has a distaste for it and some might say that, “Maybe after two hundred and fifty years that this would go away. This feeling. This burning.” But when we take something that we’ve gone through in our childhood or when we were young, and for Olrox, when he was human, and it hurt us, it leaves an imprint. It makes us who we are. And for Olrox, this is the thing that drives him. This is why he feeds on the rich. Why he doesn’t bow down just to anyone. I actually find the opening scene, where Olrox kills Julia Belmont, quite interesting, after having rewatched the series. Olrox is in a scene with someone he should be passionately angry at, but he isn’t. He walks slowly and concisely towards them. He even lightly chuckles at one point. You can’t really tell that he’s angry or upset. It’s not even like that battle was personal for him. Furthermore, after the battle is over, where you would expect him to feel some kind of relief that he’s won, he still just slowly and calmly looks over at Richter. Also, the way he just walks over Julia’s corpse is so dispassionate. He doesn’t step on her - which he could. He doesn’t make her look horrible. He doesn’t take her with him. He doesn’t even feed on her. For him, her death was just a payment that had to be paid. Olrox has evidently practiced himself to have exceptionally good control over his emotions, and he uses the analytical part his brain more often than the emotional part, because, odds are, that is what has helped him survive. Also, like you said, upon rewatching, I found that scene where Olrox speaks to a young Richter right after he’s killed his mother very interesting. He doesn’t need to tower over Richter and I think that’s really important. A lot of people who enjoy power, that hunger for that, like to show their strength and make other people feel small. Olrox doesn’t do that. He gets down so he’s almost eye-to-eye with Richter. He wants him to understand, but also he brings him to his level. That’s something that I wouldn’t expect from him, especially in this opening scene where he’s shown as this vampire that just killed Richter’s mother. Additionally, as you said, it’s really interesting when he allows Richter to live, even though he could have killed him and stopped him from claiming retribution upon him. But he understands it. He actually says, “One day you’re gonna want revenge as well,” and he accepts that, and he allows him to grow to adulthood. I believe that he feels that it’s the natural order of things, that Richter deserves to be able to have his retribution as well (Though I highly doubt that Olrox will just let him kill him. He’s far too fond of himself for that.) but he doesn’t feel it would be a fair fight when he’s just a child. Olrox doesn’t kill little people just because he can. I believe one of the reasons so many of us like Olrox is that it’s much easier to dislike someone who’s angry, and vicious, and mean, and cruel. But for Olrox, he’s cold, and calculated, and analytical. And he does things because he believes is right or what he feels he has to do. We don’t always know why he does things and that makes us have to think twice about his motivations.

I love how you can hear his jewelry as he moves.
Olrox is so just- “screw yall im doing my own thing” energy so much and i love it
Best character on the show. Steals every scene he's in.
Even when he’s only a shadow watching in the background.^^
The whole time I'm just saying "this mf is too pretty for all this bs."
Same
I actually think that every scene Olrox was in this season actually had him steal the moment. He’s a badass fighter. His story is actually very compelling and interesting.
I’m can’t wait to see what he has in store for the remainder of this series.
Did you see S2 trailer, sadly olrox is not returning
When he left at the end there, he left fr
@@darenedjuissi idk it’s kinda weird. The purpose of Olrox was for Richter to get revenge on him for killing his mom. So him being cut out of the next season or the series doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense.
@@darenedjuissi😩😭😭😭😭 he’s the ONLY reason to watch this show!!!! What we’re they thinking?!?!?😤😤😤
@@darenedjuissiWell technically he’s not mentioned anywhere in season one trailer so… maybe it’s just a thing they do 😔
In the next season it will be difficult to choose between Alucard and Olrox. The first is the most beautiful and iconic character, the second the most fascinating, mysterious and charismatic. I hope they both turn out perfect.
Did you see the trailer for S2, olrox is not there.😢
@@darenedjuissiDont you worry, he will be .
@@darenedjuissi We may not see him, but he's always lurking.

They went from putting a knife to each other's throat to fucking. I'm so glad I watched this alone.
The way he was animated when "bowing" (I use quotation marks because his spirit was indeed unwavering) was FANTASTIC - his face was resilient & rightfully ANGRY and I loved it.
I'm sorry, the "Mizrak = Booty callzone😳" got me 😂😂
Olrox is definitely my third favorite character behind Alucard.
We all know nobody’s surpassing Isaac, that’s for sure.
Isaac was definitely the most coolest character out of any character in the Castlevania series.
I’m gonna be honest, when I first saw him I was like: “Oh my god! He’s deadly” but as the series progressed, he became one of my favourite characters
Well, does that make him any less deadly? You just fell for him, like the rest of us! 😂😂
I have never seen this show. Not one single episode. Came across this video randomly at 3 am. That said, I Stans sassy vampire who ran out of fucks to give two centuries ago. Love Olrox, he’s officially my spirit animal
Go watch the show.^^ But you should probably watch the original Castlevania first. This is Castlevania Nocturne.
Olrox is one of the most intriguing characters ever seen on screen for me. So sexy, powerful, complex, passionate and mysterious. I’m blown away.
Props to Olrox’s voice actor for making him sound so calming and so menacing at the same time
0:18 ok hear me out
when that scene played AS A JOKE i said "oh they fuckin😏" then AND ONLY THEN the next scene showed them on the bed

You know Olrox had his insides in a twist doing that.
💯
It was cool to see him use his magic attacks from the game and kept the purple clothes.
Making him turn into a Quetzalcoatl instead of a big green lizard was a far better choice, even supported by making him Aztec while also still staying true to the enemy roster of the franchise. They paid ALOT of attention.
*"Just read the fucking book."*

1:01 He’s so handsome! 😍😍😍 Also, he kinda looks like a human Scar here.^^
He’s my favorite character honestly. I hope they do more with him next season.
The neck beards reviews cancelled it.

Outside of the vampire hunting Olrox and Trevor would have gotten along swimmingly. If they had ever met.
Just surrounded by idiots 😂 that what he was thinking the whole time👍🏻
I don’t know what it is but Olrox is intimidating but yet fascinating to look at. His features are very distinctive. I can’t wait to see what he’ll have up his sleeves next season💜
"Did you even ask permission"
Orlox: "who the- asks permission to kill someone?!"
I’m Quechua and I just love him so much (especially because he’s funny)😂 he makes perfect sense to me. He’s very well done! he feels indigenous.
It was so real when he said "just read the fucking book" 🤣
I never thought Spike would get any competition for “ The Hottest Vampire Ever” list but yeah, I admit, Orlox is that hot.
I'm hoping we'll see more of him next season. That look he gave Bathury when she insisted he bow did not come off as "Yeah, we're cool no hard feeling ill let this go np" but very much like "When you look back at all the fuck ups you've made in your life, you'll realize, this shit here, it was the biggest"😅
He’s so gay I love him
I love his character!! 😂
Hes pretty much a part of the gang now. I almost forgot he murdered Richter's mom. lol
He went from he he’s going to kill the last of the Belmonts, to be freaked out by this might be goddess vampire and trying to help the Belmont. I wonder what made him
Absolutely wanted Olrox to be the main villain rather than discount Dracula queen wannabe.
You want the men who surviving the Aztec people's near annihilation by the invading Spanish conquistadors and is being haunted by what he witnessed in the genocide of his people, who also had a lover who wanted to help free everyone from slavery…you want him to be the main villain and be the one who is gonna do the next genocide…And don’t make me start how Dracula and him are different since Olrox only killed the one responsible for his lover death and not thousands of innocent kids
@bobbi7990 honestly after seeing the series, I was rather disappointed in Bathory. Olrox had much more history with Richter and is alot more menacing than the avatar of Sekhmet.
I understand that he would never allow Erezbet to conquer the new world as she would slaughter my people. So i do understand and relate with Olrox.
Im not comparing both villains as both have good reasons to be villains. I just find Olrox more interesting then Erezbet.
@@shaneisaac4104 yeah I see why you would prefer Olrox to have a bigger role in the series but honestly I prefer him to live and not be the main villain 😅
2:30 he’s right, and the churches, who supported all this are still in power
He gives Orochimaru vibes if Kishimoto made him even more queer and a little less evil.
3:24 now that’s an honest face. Honest in his disgusting for a demagogue with a messiah complex. I’m sure he’s seen it all before.
He’s actually the most interesting character.
Neat fact Olrox’s V.A was Crow Daddy in the Stephen King film “Doctor Sleep”

“Honey you are not Trevor Belmont😮💨” 3:31. Hahaha Mizrak is badass but not Trevor Belmont badass 😚.
Ugh love how sassy he is!
Olrox is such a badass character. I want to know more!
Now we just need Dracula to murder Erzsebet at the last second, establishing himself as the big bad of the new series.
I swear Olrox’s look and voice reminds me of the bad guy from Kindergarten Cop.
Castlevania is the most complex anime I've cross paths by. I'm more into shonen.
But this man? Boy I like him lots

Loke how hes annoued when they call him dragon. Hes not a dragon but he is a winged serpent. In his culture those two things are exclusive but to the others they're the same thing.
Orlox pretty much sums up the audience's reaction after watching Castlevania Nocturne.
Yes, Olrox, reject dem whyte colonizers lmao
but srsly tho, to experience one madman to another, olrox hates to see it. it's why he betrayed Erzsebet by giving belmont the book, betting that they could try to destroy the forge. he just wants to do his own thing.
“Not so straight” 💀
"You're not Trevor Belmont." LMFAO
We need a meme of Orlox sipping tea
Gonna cosplay Olrox next year for Halloween
Need a video of Olrox edited into that video of the guy slapping everyone out of his way… because that’s my prediction of the final season.
I just realized that he killed the arisocrat while he spared the beggar. 😮
Wait a second. He is an Aztec vampire isn't he? Do you think he and the Pillar Men/Aztec gods of fitness will get along?
I know, different franchise, but still.
Lmao “Aztec gods of fitness” 😭 I never thought about that, maybe they will f but I don’t think Olrox likes the whole “becoming the ultimate life form” thing 😂
@@bobbi7990 cant wait for richter to pull a joseph joestar on him or would it be fitting if he done it on elizabeth.
@@ashwolf2006 I don’t see a reason for Olrox and Richter to fight when they have a common enemy in Elizabeth.Yeah he killed his mom but she killed his lover first and by the way he described him he wouldn’t kill innocent person only for his blood.
Possibly wammu but that's it. Because the pillar men typically see vampires as inferior to them.
Zahn McClarnon is such an underrated actor, he was a badass motherf*cker in Fargo, and here he sounds so suave.
Ughhhh he is amazing
He is fascinating.
This is my fave vampire character
Funny thing about Orlox is that in the games he was the 'reckless abandon to sate curiosity' sort while here he is still 'sate curiosity' but not so much reckless abandon...
