GREAT ADVICE!! My 1995 GT 5.0 had a persistent knocking & pinging problem that drove me nuts, nuts, nuts even after a major tune-up!! I followed your example, did it myself with very strong alcohol and now the problem IS HISTORY!! Needless to say you saved me some $$$ for the cost of a new MAF sensor too. MANY THANKS FOR THIS VALUABLE VIDEO!!
I went through a whole engine overhaul and still my car was running like crap. It's amazing what this alcohol/Q-tip tip did to my 1995 Cobra. Not only does it run with power, now it goes past the 3000RPM which it hadn't done in years!!! Thank you sir!!!
Thanks a lot buddy...a lot of other videos say you have to use maf cleaner which is a lie. She really goes now and notice twice the torque/acceleration. Very inexpensive way to wake up the old horse. Thanks again!!
Man!... my cousin trying this on is stock Mustang 95 GT and now it does exacly as it says on this video... the car feels like it just came out from the devil's garage. It feels like the car got 50hp or more into it... you guys are no joke!
Great video...I am finding that leaving the air snorkel (which pulls air from the fender) on the intake helps keep consistent throttle response and acceleration even as the car gets hotter. I had left mine off for years. I picked one up a the junkyard a while back and put it back on. I wish I had never taken it off.
Did this to my '98 v6 last week, only I cleaning it with actual MAF cleaner. It is true, I saw a noticeable difference in throttle response and felt like I gained somewhere like 5HP. Couldn't figure out how to take out the actual MAF sensor, because Ford decided to gum up one of the star torx. I'm sure you've seem that before replacing the one on your Cobra? But you can still manage to clean it without taking it out, just spray the the MAF cleaner into the hole on the MAF housing. Oh and be sure to clean that Chrome like grill the air feeds through. There's a lot of dirt and things that can get stuck onto it. It's probably something you should of mentioned. But overall came to confirm that cleaning the MAF sensor indeed works.
Just bought a new new one for my 2008 mustang , it was puttin out when I put the gas pedal to the floor, I didn't know you could clean them... Cost me $100
My 94 gt doesn't rev any higher then 4k. I raced my friends v6 mustang and it pulled until I reached 4k then it would rev any higher do you think it's the maf?

I used this trick on my wife’s Belly button she’s running like when I first got her swear it added 50hp.
