I was recently talking to a friend about copyright and re-use of others characters, music, and art to create transformative work. What can be considered the line where fan art and re-use can be considered original. The aesthetic and technical choices in your videos have always had a very definitive and unique style with a lot a consideration. Consideration put into which cuts should go together, how it should flow. You definitely pass that artistic line. I must have watched some of your videos thousands of times. Thank-You for continuing to provide great content.

The theme of this one kind of didn't make sense to me at first - I had to look up the story on your page and once I realized the theme it actually was pretty hilarious - seriously, a literal Umbrella Corp trying to create a monopoly on umbrellas with a weather control system? That's kinda out there, but eh, you made it work. And the transitions! Seriously I don't do drugs but I'm guessing this is what acid is like - it made me dizzy just lying here in bed. I am noticing a lot more sections completely rotoscoped for color filters or at least tracked for recoloring, reflections and plane panning edited to match up and so many LAYERS!

Saw it today on a screen on the main stage of an anime convention ( nijikon ), which was mostly full btw, in my town. Tbh one of the best if not the best amv I've seen, very nice segways through the entirety of the amv. Very good work :)

Its your patented blend of visual choreography mixed with artistic embellishment that separates you from imitators who miss the nuance. I'm assuming you used twixtor and am curious as to the settings because I like the particular smoothness you obtained in this one.
Twixtor indeed. I try different settings for each segment but I usually go with Nearest and Sloppy. The smoothness it probably due to camera movements and transitions in this one.
Thats interesting, I've been playing with it recently and have just been defaulting with the motion vectors set to best and using motion weighted blend. I think I'll experiment more with the motion vector settings since I haven't really tried much with that yet. Thanks for the insight, much appreciated.
Motion weighted blend can be useful but Twixtor isn't magic, sometimes it can't do anything for you and you need to disable the motion vector on some frames. When I want to smooth down something simple like a zoom or a translation that Twixtor somehow can't figure out, I sometimes also do it manually frame by frame.
I'm currently working on a Twixtor guide, it should be ready in a few days if all goes well. However, as Nostromo mentioned, Twixtor isn't magic, so I rather give some insights into how Twixtor Pro can be used to improve some of these difficult cases. Or at least, how to make them tolerable.
