The weird thing is that Willie Nelson (who I do not consider a great singer, but his voice fits the music that he sings) did a cover of Just Breathe and it was amazing. And Willie's son Lukas, whose voice is similar to has father Willie's, did a version of this song WITH Eddie Vedder, and it sounded amazing as well. Sometimes it's not about the quality of the voice, but the emotion put forth. And in both Willie and Lukas' cases, they were at least as good as Eddie with Eddie's iconic voice.

This song makes me think of way back to the early 90's when record producers were scooping up whatever bands they could from the Seattle area trying to replicate Nirvana's success. So many great acts and so many dead lead singers later, Pearl Jam just keeps keeping on and producing music that speaks to your soul. I have no idea how they managed to escape the destruction but I am so happy they did.
