    Hello. It’s such a beautiful edging. Can i ask in what multiple i should cast on to do this edging? It would be so helpful. Thank you

      Hi! You don't cast on any multiple, you work the lace as you go, to the length you need it to be. If you want a standalone lace border that you sew on later, the instructions for that are in the PDF pattern. shop.yarnandy.com/shop/jasmine-lace-edging-crochet-pattern/

    Can you make a video of the stand-alone version of this lace?

    • @YarnAndy
      @YarnAndy  5 месяцев назад

      The pattern for that is in the PDF. The only difference is what you do before and after you turn at the end of the row. I might make a video of a different pattern with a similar construction, but a different lace pattern, once I get some more time to concentrate on smaller projects.

    Hi....its beautiful.... what is the yarn used for the demo piece showed in the beginning....ive never seen anything like that.....i just love it...

      Thanks! That exact yarn is one strand extracted from a multi-strand fluffy yarn I got many years ago from Ice Yarns, but it is similar to lace weight silk-mohair or silk-alpaca yarns you can find. They come in fluffy balls of about 225 meters per 25 g. You need to use a large hook (4-5 mm) with those yarns to get this fluffy effect.

    Hi Andy, can it be put started on the edge of a baby blanket please? It has that huge open end on it not attached to anything and I don't know how change that.

      Hi! I'm not sure what you mean by the huge open end. If you work around a blanket, you can leave a longer tail and use it to sew the first motif to the last, so they are connected in the same way as the other motifs. Did you try that?

      I am trying to purchase it, but not got paypal

      Which platform did you try to buy it from? The shop.yarnandy.com can take other forms of payment and so can Ravelry and Etsy, you don't need PayPal.

    Pls advise multiple of chain per motif

    • @YarnAndy
      @YarnAndy  Год назад

      Hi! I'm not sure what you mean with the multiple of chain per motif. This border is attached to your project. It takes up about 9-10 stitches per edge, but you work it until you reach the end of the sides you want to put the lace on. You can make the anchoring stitches closer together to get a ruffled lace edge.

    Although this is a gorgeous border,it would be more beneficial to others to slow down your video and explain the stitches in detail .not everyone likes to keep pausing while they try to learn.ty

      Thank you for your feedback. Thankfully, the internet is full of basic tutorials for beginners to learn the stitches used in this pattern. Yes, the video assumes that you know these stitches, but you also have free written instructions going along with it and can look up any stitch you are not familiar with. You can also use the speed settings to slow down the video and turn on CC to follow along with the spoken instructions.
