Hello Vince, thanks for this info, very helpful! Do you address the question of using Apple mail with an iCloud email vs with gmail? In particular, when searching through years of past emails, a web-based interface seems it will be better than something working off your local drive. But if I understand correctly, Apple mail runs primarily off a local device, so searching will be limited by your device? Whereas gmail, which works in a browser, will have access to google's servers and thus search your past mail more efficiently? But maybe an iCloud email has a comparable web interface to Gmail which can meet this particular need? Since I have all Apple devices, I'm wondering whether to ditch gmail and start over with an iCloud email instead... Sorry for the confused question: I struggle with the constant tug of war between gmail and apple 😅

Great video again. Jealousy here! Is it possible to get a tutorial for making a HTML signature? Because some videos are not that good. Also if I made one and sent one mail to my co workers but the font and size change. They using outlook or other app. Please help!
Great video! Hoverwer, two things that drive me crazy with Apple Mail: 1. Attachments. They are so bad. If someone sends you 8 pictures in different sizes - you probably will die in agony trying to manage it. And you can't just open and watch this picture. You need to save it first. 2. Different look. All emails from different senders look different. If you work with Windows users - their emails probably look messy, but in some reason in Spark, all e-mails look okay. Don't know why but Apple Mail just doesn't care about the view.
Thank you! Yep, these are some valid points - there are definitely a few annoying things about Apple Mail... But (as any other Apple app), I use it because of the simplicity and minimalist design. But sure, there are great (and perhaps even better) other options out there.
That’s a seriously awesome video, fantastic editing as always, and it’s just fun to watch. Picked up a few tips. Also, that sexy background screen though!👀
Hi, thanks for this. My biggest annoyance with Mail in Mac is the font that changes in size either on my side, or on the recipients side. The only thing that seems to work is the plain text mode, but I’d like rich text mode. Keep up the good work!
maybe it's because you both have different font sizes setup? Even if you have not changed your font size manually it might be due to the OS changing the default font size due to things like changing the text size in the display settings which makes sense since you did want to change the text size.
Thank you so much! Unfortunately, there's no perfect solution, and I've got no clue why Apple didn't make this easier, but you can set the Color to Black and then slide the Opacity (there's a slider below the Color Wheel) to zero. This should remove the Color.
Wow great video. Just made this sh***y piece of outlook obsolet. But I discovered one more really great feature: Dragging mails into calendar make you time block for certain tasks. To Do lists are only my backlog for non-urgent tasks, when I really have to get something done, I prefer using the time box method and this works really well with apple mail as well!
As a RUclipsr, your video drove me crazy! The edition, the script, the hook for the next video… It’s impressive, congrats! Oh, and I learnt a few tricks in fact 😊

Main reason I don’t use Mail is I actually USE email for work. So it feels like 1000 new emails a day. That’s better left online than taking up storage on my laptop
Amazing video! thanks. Can you create mailboxes (staying at the top with inbox, sent, bin...) to organise different mail servers within these folders? For example, creating a folder "House bills" and moving emails from different email accounts like hotmail, gmail... all into the same folder. It does not let me do it. It seems these mailboxes have to be linked to one account only . Thanks
I really want to use the Mail app. But I want to see read receipts so I use superhuman for that. They have keyboard shortcuts too. If Mail allows us to enable read receipts then I would switch. Although, that color highlight feature is pretty cool!
Yep, I can definitely understand. In some areas, Mail feels quite behind. But again, I use it (like any other Apple app) because of the simplicity and minimal interface.
@macvince I’ve a specific question regarding all my emails from various email providers such as outlook and gmail being downloaded to my Mac. Why is this and does it eat up my memory? What happens when I delete an email on apple mail will it be gone from the server side too? I’d really appreciate your response. Thank you
Great video. It's always good to see features from the native apps. I always try to use the Apple Ecosystem native apps and in general, people don't like Mail for Mac but I really like the minimalist style of it. Question: Does the "Hide my Email" feature also work using an Outlook or Gmail address or need to be an iCloud? What email provider do you personally use? Danke.
Hey! Thank you so much! Totally agree with you. The Hide my Email feature should work with other email addresses, it just creates an @icloud alias for you, but forwards it to your Outlook/Gmail address. However, you have to pay for iCloud+ (so the minimum iCloud storage plan). Hope this helps!
I would love to use Apple Mail on my Mac. I really do. But I have to send multiple images to windows users and it just does NOT work. The images are not attached, but just inside the mail. - Changing "Send windows friendly" doesn't help. It's an up and down. Sometimes no attachments at all, sometimes inline - View as icon: Only changes the view for me as a sender As long as that issue is not fixed, I can't use it, because its unprofessional. Now I am sticking with Canary, which is okay, but I always prefer using native software.
I figured it out for you because I'm not a lazy ho, so you open the colour menu, go to 3rd tab (Colour Palettes), then choose "Developer" from the drop down, then choose one of the first 5 colours and it will reset it for you.
Change them to Black and set the Opacity down to zero (there's a slider underneath the color wheel). I know, worst workaround ever, and I have no clue why there's no option to simply remove it. Sorry!
Hey, unfortunately, the Inline Text feature doesn't yet work in Apple Mail (I've read this Reddit feed, might be possible in a future update: www.reddit.com/r/macapps/comments/17v0rlm/macgpt_in_apple_mail/) However, the MacGPT trick I've used at the end of the video was the Global Shortcut (which you can find in the MacGPT settings. That's similar to Spotlight Search, just with ChatGPT. I've set it to appear when pressing Option + Space Bar. Hope this helps!
Hi can you help me with my problem using mac email? Whenever I reply to emails with images in signatures or has an attachment, it automatically became an attachment after replying. The image in my signature also disappears and became an attachment. Thanks in advance!

Question: Does the "Hide my Email" feature also work using an Outlook or Gmail address or need to be an iCloud? What email provider do you personally use? Danke.
I think you have an option to change the forwarding address but that's probably only available if you pay for icloud+.
Hey! Thank you so much! Totally agree with you. The Hide my Email feature should work with other email addresses, it just creates an @icloud alias for you, but forwards it to your Outlook/Gmail address. However, you have to pay for iCloud+ (so the minimum iCloud storage plan). Hope this helps!
bro your vids are super clean and well made you deserve more fame props to you man
Man, so glad you like them - means a lot! :) Cheers!
I dont get any notification from the mail app. any help? in the settings, everything is turned on😢
Hi! If I add accounts on my iPhone, do I still need to add them in the Mac? Even if I have the mail in iCloud active?
I don’t like the interface and I dont like that there isn’t an inbox for all accounts at once. So for that reason im inclined towards outlook
But there is an inbox for all accounts at once. You just need to click on All Inboxes
I would love to use Apple Mail on my Mac. I really do. But I have to send multiple images to windows users and it just does NOT work. The images are not attached, but just inside the mail.
- Changing "Send windows friendly" doesn't help. It's an up and down. Sometimes no attachments at all, sometimes inline
- View as icon: Only changes the view for me as a sender
As long as that issue is not fixed, I can't use it, because its unprofessional. Now I am sticking with Canary, which is okay, but I always prefer using native software.
Omg thank you for all tips 🙏🏻
I love your videos! But man why can't we add attachments as attachments !!!!
Thank you!! Valid point. You can right-click the attached PDF preview and choose Show as Attachment, but a default setting would be much better.
@@macvince And also on Apple Mail you can't turn off notifications account by account (you can on iOS weirdly but not on macOS) 😅
@@LUKAS-bb4jc Super weird... I really hate those kinds of inconsistencies... 😂
The colour feature is nice, but how can I remove the colour from a mail? I can't figure it out... :)
Set it back to white 😅
@@macvince no that doesn't work, you don't know what you are talking about
I figured it out for you because I'm not a lazy ho, so you open the colour menu, go to 3rd tab (Colour Palettes), then choose "Developer" from the drop down, then choose one of the first 5 colours and it will reset it for you.
@@ArgoFowl A but direct, but thank you for the detailed explanation. Helped a lot, thanks again 👍🏻👍🏻
How do you change the colored emails back to normal if you want to?
Change them to Black and set the Opacity down to zero (there's a slider underneath the color wheel). I know, worst workaround ever, and I have no clue why there's no option to simply remove it. Sorry!
dude... the tab bar... that may change my life
Danke Dir!@@macvince
Great job !
Much appreciated!
Actually I was waiting for this video from you
Perfect timing then!
How do I remove the color you had me add to one email??
make tuts about other mac apps too bro, this is too good.
other videos are crazy Outdated.
Thank you for the great feedback! And that's the plan, so stay tuned :)
Bears, Beets, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!
Strange this did happen here, no stranger would it be because i watched your videos. 🌳
I am still experiencing issues with receiving emails. I can't receive emails immediately; in most cases, they arrive late.
so with rules you can color code mails on iOS too?
Sadly, it doesn't sync to iOS...
but what do you mean by apple color codes it's own emails? @@macvince
I purchased MacGPT,how can I invoke inline text while replying to an email as shown in your video at the last.
