I used be a very cynnical atheist. During me journey back to Orthodox Christianity, I realised, no one is truly an atheist. There are theists and there are idolaters. If you deny God, you will put in His place a political party, an ideology, a company, a product, a philosophy about life, or all of these together. And the hole that God fills is infinite. I’m not religious but there is no denying that Paul Harvey has wisdom beyond most. I have read many books and there are so many lessons similar to this one, from Sun Tzu to Nietsche. The way to thwart what is right and good is upon us, in ways that appear like normal society. Think about that next time you choose your leader.

I’m listening to this in 2024, Paul Harvey was ahead of his time, so sad that this is what’s happening in the world and the US today.
I heard this in 1966 when my husband was stationed in Texas, Fort Hood this. This was in the era of the Viet Nam cold War so many of our young men were killed. It was the only station that you can get get on the radio at that time cuz it was so out in the country with adequate reception.

I surely miss listenning to Paul. A great patriot obviously ahead of his time and bulging with wisdom. Today, sadly, he would be cancelled. He was just too on point.

My 83 year old mom reminded me of this "Rest of the Story" addition today in May of 2022. This was done in 1965 before I was born but it is so prophetic.

I’m not exactly what you would call religious, but I’m pretty sure Paul Harvey had some divine inspiration. This speech, and freedom to chains are so accurate it’s scary.
Here in 2022…the pit in my stomach was deeper than the void, how on the absolute mark he was in every thing he said. How absolutely accurate this was, is TERRIFYING.

It's amazing to read some of these comments and just understanding that a lot of these people never heard this man speak in real life they're just hearing recording of him years and years later an amazing to be a person that hurt him in real life knowing that so many of these people don't understand what has been and what is to come and how far we have fallen

This is a resonating message from my youth. I loved to listen to this man when I was growing up in the Midwest. The times have changed children, and not for our good, but for evils sake!

@@KingKoffin That will NEVER work, because man is inherently sinful. Further, who's morality? The fickle and changing whims of governments and individuals? If there is no God, then there is really no right and wrong, no good and evil, no heaven or hell. And if those things are true, then what good is morality, as everyone just does what seems right in their own sinful eyes.
We do not have to teach a young child to lie. He learns it all by himself. We do not have to teach a young child to be horribly selfish. She learns it all by herself. They are little barbarians. And although it's a free gift, most reject that gift, and will face separation from God for all eternity. Jesus wishes that no one would have to parish. Jesus gives us that CHOICE. He will honor our CHOICE to either accept or to reject Him as Savior. I have made my choice, and you will make yours. You have until you take your last breath on earth to make that sincere choice. ACCEPT Jesus as Savior and be in heaven for eternity. REJECT HIM and be in hell for eternity. In eternity, we will all get our wish. Seek the Lord while He may still be found. While the door is still open. For at the appointed time, the door slams shut.

My dad was a Mst Sgt when he died ..I was a toddler left w evil ppl. I saw what hell is and GOD showed me what love is. I was made into a victim and GOD taught me how to be a warrior. My dad did not fight for this country to LET the evils of this world take it from us.
I think Paul Harvey was right on many of his views, church attendance is at all time lows, morals are pretty much gone, this world is not what I dreamed it would ever be. Growing up in the 60 s and 70s life was diffrent and so much better. These are sad times we live in!!

I miss Paul Harvey! I enjoyed listening to him as a kid. Who knew he would be so prophetic.
I used be a very cynnical atheist. During me journey back to Orthodox Christianity, I realised, no one is truly an atheist. There are theists and there are idolaters.
If you deny God, you will put in His place a political party, an ideology, a company, a product, a philosophy about life, or all of these together. And the hole that God fills is infinite. And the things of this world are finite.
Prince ea made a modern version of this called "the tricks the devil plays" we are being decieved about the kingdom of God and most people are more true to thier ego then thier spirit. The kingdom is within and at hand and religious people are demonizing it. Open your 3rd eye. The modern version is about higher consciousness

I’m not religious but there is no denying that Paul Harvey has wisdom beyond most. I have read many books and there are so many lessons similar to this one, from Sun Tzu to Nietsche. The way to thwart what is right and good is upon us, in ways that appear like normal society. Think about that next time you choose your leader.

Paul may have missed one thing: Narcissism. The idea that the world revolves around you and you alone, that nothing you do is wrong, that you are perfect and special without working at it, that you must be empowered instead of simply getting things done, and that there is no God. Nearly as fertile a soil for evil as the love of money.
O Lord forgive us and this nation for this sinful world is at our door steps and it's people are lost, let thy word have it's way and thy will be done. God bless you all.
