Performing with a lead singer debilitated by the flu and without the trusted long time 2nd vocalist/background singer to help them - still all of them individually and together outperforming most other bands. Most respectable.
Nightwish fans are a great bunch of people! And Floor is a Trooper. It is clear that Floor is not well, and neither her voice. But they love her to bits anyway. That gives a person hope.. Get well soon Floor.
It seems that her head voice was less affected by flu. Thank God she has such a technical resource. Perhaps she could have used it even for the last note, with a strong projection it could have worked.
Yeah!! A great technique is good for moments like that, cuz even when you got a flu you can still sing. Normally a flu affects your throat, but not your vocal chords, so if you have a really good technique you'll be able to do something. I remember a vocal teacher that I had many years ago and she always said how important is to have a good vocal technique.
@@WMfin It appears that your phone has very good mics. I just viewed another video shot with latest gen iPhone and the video quality was good but the audio quality was all over the place (the iPhone, not the gig).
@@MikkoRantalainen it's wild how varied the quality of different things are in different phones. You'd think that by now all phones would have become more or less the same but I guess they still have to select what are the pros and cons of each model.

Floor was incredible as always (even with the flu) but especially tonight she 'needed' Marko next to her! Jukka is a very nice guy (I saw an interview with him after he was picked as their new bassist) and he plays very good but Marko's stage presence and harmony with Floor was amazing. And his voice as well... Floor was able to shine even more next to him and they had fun together - also because they respected each others voices. Now she has to climb the steps till she reaches Troy and a lot of energy get lost in this way. And IMHO a drummer must be in the middle of the stage behind the rest of the band. Kai looks 'lost' now and the band playing on 2 diffents floors looks also very strange. They really have to make some changes! They perform still very good but not AWESOME like before. 😞

Marko didn't sing on GLS and it was his choice. Wish him well and get over it and let them grow in the new situation.
