    I was set on buying this case because the teasers had me very excited but after watching your videos I'm taking a step back to analyze it all better. Thank you for your transparency and honest opinions, Christopher!

    Have been looking at this case for a while. With a 150mm ATX PSU and a 345mm GPU it's a tight fit. Yours, is the only review that has explained in depth PSU position vs GPU/AIO cooler size. Thanks

    For those wondering if the corsair shift (850w) would fit. The answer is yes. Use the ssd tray to mount the psu but you can go over 267mm (asus 4070 dual) or you will hit the plug sockets. Its a tight fit but it will work. The amount of options for mount the psu is insane.

    The more reviews of this case that I see, the more I think it would be far better to build in it with a high end air cooler, rather than an AIO. They just look awkward jammed in the top of the case. Would also enable you to use a cheaper ATX PSU in the top position without getting in the way of anything. Given the case is so cheap, and it supports ATX PSUs out of the box, it seems hard to understand why every reviewer is doing example builds with an SFX PSU. You even got my hopes up by featuring an ATX PSU earlier in the video, only to use an SFX one for the actual build and then have issues with cable length!!!

    • @Veyron_fan
      @Veyron_fan 8 месяцев назад +1

      I've watched quite a few vids on this case now and I do not understand why so few utilise the side bracket that's provided. Unless you're dead set on only using the tempered glass panel and an ATX PSU the standard layout of this case should be an sfx psu side mounted which then allows a 360mm AIO installed on the side bracket intaking cool air, any size of gpu you want and 3 top fans exhausting. Can even then mount bottom fans depending on how thick the gpu is.

  • @bullwinklemoose7232

    Awesome Video
    The ATX Shroud is too big for an SFX power supply though and takes up too much space
    I wish Lian Li had a smaller SFX mounting shroud
    To mount a Corsair SF850L or SF1000L SFX power supply on the side panel, remove the Lian Li flat steel bracket from the shroud and replace it with the bracket that Corsair provides
    This allows you to keep the Intake fan on the power supply up against the mesh side panel with cables coming out of the bottom of the power supply and out of your way
    Hot exhaust comes out at the top
    Works great
    Still want an SFX mounting shroud though

    This video put me a bit off of this case, however spending a couple of hours each day for two days, i found relatively easy fixes for your gripes. Don't take this wrong i like you're video and your honesty. You have an sfx power supply, if you side mounted it, you could even fit a fat artic freezer 3 on the side mount, of course you would have to go for the side mesh instead of TG. But in (almost ?) every config it improves thermals and since you are on intel i think that would be the more logic choice. Side mounting the psu also makes connecting the EPS power cable much easier, you won't need an extension and you can route it behind the motherboard backplate.

    So the gpu fans are the intake for the entire case? The mesh side makes more sense. The airflow through the gpu doesnt seem enough for the exhaust through the radiator

    I wonder if a 3 slot 4090 with a 4 slot width would still fit with the VGPU mount. I have a Suprim X and it's a chonker. Not the longest 4090, but definitely a thicc boi. I would like to recycle it into a new case if I can, though as a backup the MSI Gaming X Slim would be a sufficient replacement with no compatibility issues.

  • @nikolakostic5667
    @nikolakostic5667 5 месяцев назад

    Great overview! Why did you mount the radiator in (what looks like) the middle of the case? Based on diagrams from Lian li it seems like the recommended way is to put a 240 aio all the way to the left, which would allow your PSU to go into position 1, which will then leave the full 415mm for large GPUs (if upgrading in the future). Am i missing something?

      I have a cpu cooler: Corsair iCUE H100i Elite Capellix XT Liquid CPU Cooler, 240 mm radiator. Will it fit? I know you clarified that a 240 fits but I wanted to double check as this will be my first build and I don’t want to jam anything. I would like to add 2 fans at top and bottom of the case as well.

    Hi. Is it possible to mount the PSU on the side panel such that the fan is next to the mesh side panel intaking cool air but the input is facing down so it doesn't interfere with the motherboard?

  • @aman5175
    @aman5175 6 месяцев назад

    Thank for this! i have 1 query.. you show in the vertical mount.. the PSU mount on the side has no limits on the length of the PSU... so does this mean.. i can now fit ATX PSU's greater than 150MM when the GPU is vertically mounted? Please answer.. this is the only thing holding me from buying this case.. my PSU is 160MM and GPU is 360MM and this is the only scenario it will fit.

      As long as its less than 61mm thick, yes but its a very tight fit if your at 58 to 60. I think i would be better to leave it with no bottom fans if so. You can search for the dimensions of your card in the manufacturers site.
