In today's video we're playing Moffat Golf Club, a golf course never shared on RUclips before! Moffat Golf Club is blessed with the most amazing views, and quirky holes in the hills!
Come and join us at the start of our golf tour of Scotland, for a low cost, great value round of golf in Scotland!
I'm playing a 9 hole match with my best friend Rob, this could get quite competitive!

Great vlog as usual. Like most people I'm dying to visit Moffat.
Great show again, lovely course, and 10 seconds after you have taken a reasonable time to walk to hole, keep them coming mate.
Thanks buddy 👌🏼
There are so many hidden courses in Scotland each very different and layouts well thought out to the area. Greenstaff few but know how to turn a course out. Loads more to come.
Nice wee course an enjoyable longer vlog. Courses in Scotland and here have their own quirkyness.
Stunning course, and quite a test I should imagine.
We played off the whites and it still wasn’t too long. I imagine, we got lucky as there wasn’t much wind, but there’s potential for this course to be brutal! 😅
Brilliant vlog, there so many great little courses around Scotland, I learnt to play at Carnwath many moons ago on holidays back home with my uncle who was a member, it's a very good test of anyone's game with lovely views across to Tinto mountain, further north my son and I love playing Braemar and Huntly again very enjoyable to play with views to die for.
Final one for now is a little 9 holes it was called Dragons tooth course in Ballachulish on the west coast again stunning...if game is rubbish just take in the views...looking forward to the next vlog Gary
Them views 😍
Great video lads looking forward to the next one
Thanks 👌🏼
Played it a while back and the scenery was amazing, they had lost the greens at the time and that let the course down . Brilliant setting and layout.
Ohh really, that’s ashame. The condition was great, it was just abit wet under foot. Scotland weather is crazy, it could change so much during 4 hours 😃
What a stunning looking course
Was a great surprise for £32
Yeah, it's hard to find anything that nice in that price bracket around here too
Played there a few times & always enjoyed it quirky up n around the hill and down and round again.
That par 3 up the hill, class that green 😀
@garymartingolf the blind summit & the layout makes it big man 👍
Lovely course and spectacular views. I see you’ve taken a leaf out of James’s book with all the mind games. 😂😂
It works 🤣😂
@@garymartingolf
It won’t work with me Martin. Lol. We’ll have to play again now I’ve got my new clubs. Lol
Lots of gems in the area. Lockerbie, Dumfries and County, Thornhill, Colvend, Lochmaben, Caley Palace, Dumfries and Galloway, to name a few. Lots of Opens in the Summer, great affordable golf
Are they all under £50? Wouldn’t mind a trip back next summer, playing the best courses under £50
@@garymartingolf midweek, I’d say most are. Opens are between £15-£25 per head. Lots in same week. Great for a golf trip.
@@andrewjohnston5942 one of the things that sucks about being a pro, used to love the open days and trying to win prizes.
Add Powfoot to the list
Try Powfoot. A real hidden gem!! West of Moffat about 1hr drive.
Beautiful course. How to guarantee a 3 putt. "I've holed a few putts on you today" 😂
I'm sure I'm not the only one to have spotted your mate duff his tap in at the first! 😂😂😂
I’ve now seen it 😂
Hole #1 - 3 putt for a double
Hole #3 - 4 putt for double
Hole #6 - 3 putt for par
Grand vlog Gaz, r you now doing the assistant Pro job at Moor Park? My mate seen you there cleaning the members shoes n clubs? It's a brilliant club so well done bro.
Lovely course the views are very similar to were I I play at the isle of purbeck by bourmouth we just have sea views one side and hill views on the other side perched up on the purbeck hills . One to play if you ever get the chance if your down this way got X factor to the max 😁
Sounds very nice, I love Bournemouth last time we visited. I’ll remember that one 👌🏼
Amazing views and interesting holes. Just goes to show, not about the length of holes.
I reckon the covers were robot mowers 😂
Not quite. Nobody else had guessed right yet though 😃
The circles near the green will be covers for the holes for foot golf
Try Chevin golf club - absolutely brilliant course , approx same price and as its at Duffield is much nearer to Huddersfield than anywhere in Scotland !
2 x 3 putts on first hole. Throws new putters into bracken
😅
Well done gaz 😊
Cheers Roy 👌🏼
Lochmaben GC is another club near Moffat worth a visit
Great video 👍. Did you keep the receipt for that putter?
I’m persisting atm 😅
You mentioned about the circles near the green are they inspection hatches for drainage?
No, nobodies got it yet, I’ve not seen them on golf courses as a permanent fixture before. Thats my only clue lol 😂
3 putting first hole with new putters - brilliant
😫😅
“Retire”? Lol. Permanently, I suppose. 😂
Would you try a golf tour of South East Asia like you did with Pakistan Gaz? You may be surprised with the quality of golf courses and the golfing culture out there
I would yes, it would need to be a hosted tour though, as these things are very very intense trips, so you need abit of help and guidance to put them together.
@@garymartingolf In SE Asia, companies such as Golfasian and Asia Golf experiences will organize everything and may do some business relationship with you as well. From my experiences of using them they organise everything from picking up and dropping off your golf group from and to your accommodation to the golf course. Caddies are also compulsory and included in the green fees. All in it is around £100 per player for a golf course to standard of ones such as Wentworth or Emirates Golf Club but you could get some deal if you promote and showcase their business if you wanted to. If you get the opportunity to do it, it would be worthwhile and showcase how good golf is in another part of the world.
Pebbles aswell
The big holes are for footgolf
Your allowed to leave the ball sitting on the edge 10 seconds in PGA rules
Thanks for clearing that up 👌🏼
Get to Pitreavie Gaz ⛳️scotlands Augusta
Really! I’ll have a look at it on the map 🗺️ thanks 🙏🏼
@@garymartingolf it’s a Mackenzie ⛳️👍🏻
Is that circle thing by each green something to do with keeping the greens from getting to wet ? Aeration system thingy
No, good guess though 😬
Never seen it before hopefully not a football golf hole 😂😂
Drainage cover?
No no. I’ve never seen them on a golf course permanently, that’s the only clue I can give you 😃
Don’t want one of those putters, thanks
Haha 😅
Moffit or Moffat! lol
Our accent 😅
@@garymartingolf I know it too well Gaz. Mum was from Featherstone
Brilliant vid, and what an absolutely beautiful course with spectacular views. It must get windy on occasions as it looks high up.👍🏌️just out of interest, how much is it?
