Very nice comments senior airmen. You spoke very well of yourself and the Air Force. You are looking at the Air Force and yourself in a positive light and moving forward in a positive way. Appreciate your comments.

Exactly my issue. I am 13 5’3 wanting to join at 17-18 I have red/green deficiency. I have always been told you can’t join the military to be a pilot or be a pilot in the airliner world. What can I do? I have an innocent heart murmur. Which does not affect me in anyway. I wanna join and was thinking on flying or another Job. Hope to hear a suggestion. Thanks in advance.

@SNIPERMAN2010 For the Air Force applicants must have a good vision and full color vision to apply for flying careers. You may contact the airlines for their requirements.
By Federal Law you must be at least age 17 with parental consent and at least be a junior to have an appointment or to join the Air Force. However, they may speak to recruiters when they come to their high school.
You may research more information about the Air Force on our site of www.airforce.com/lifestyle to include benefits like education, pay, careers, training, lifestyle, requirements, etc.
There is also the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) portion that answers a lot of the most common questions asked: www.airforce.com/frequently-asked-questions
You may also log on to www.airforce.com/chat-live to chat with a live advisor to answer your questions.
You may also download the Aim High App: www.airforce.com/aim-high-app
If qualified you can join at age 17 with parental consent during your junior or senior year in high school as part of The Air Force Ambassador Program and enter the Delayed Entry Program (DEP). However, you will not go to Basic Military Training (BMT) until after you graduate high school.
For the Air Force every qualified applicant receives a physical to include an eye exam. Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) doctors (not recruiters) will determine if you are medically qualified to join the Air Force and any career limitations.
Your Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test scores, physical exam, citizenship and moral standards determine your job/career qualifications. Until you have taken BOTH your ASVAB test and completed your physical exam. We do not know what jobs/careers you would qualify for.
While you are still too young to enlist into the Air Force, it is never too early to start preparing. There are a few things you can do now to prepare for once you reach the required age. First study hard and graduate from high school. Get the best grades you can in all subjects especially English, Math and Science. This will help you improve your score on the ASVAB test which is required for enlistment. Say no to drugs and get an early start on physical conditioning are important steps in the right direction. And stay out of trouble. Law violations can delay and in some cases will disqualify you from joining the Air Force and taking advantage of the opportunities available. Starting early and being prepared are your best shot. Stay in contact with your Guidance Counselor and maybe we will see you in a few years.

To qualify for enlisted you must meet the below qualifications.
1)Be a US citizen or possess a USCIS Form I-551 (green card) status in their possession, solely
indicating permanent resident status. Applicants may process with a 10-year Green card (INS Form I-
      551) with an expiration date greater than two years from date of issue (a “permanent” card).
(You must obtain this status on your own, the Air Force cannot assist you with obtaining it)

the air force got rid of buck sergeant for senior airman recently. i’d say within the past 20-30 years? i’ve only been in for about 3 years now, so don’t know the exact timeline. senior airman is now the highest junior enlisted grade rather than buck sergeant, which was the lowest nco grade

I really want know if the Airforce reserves currently needs slots filled for being an Aerospace medical technician. My soul focus is on joining the reserves, I have 60 college credits and I’d prefer to be stationed somewhere in Florida. I have a few other AF career fields I’m interested in as well but being a medical technician is easily my strongest preference.

@Smartkid_1 You must live in the United States or an area that has an Air Force recruiter. Enlistment into the U.S. Air Force by citizens of countries other than the United States is limited to those foreign nationals who are legally residing in the United States and possess a U.S. Citizenship or non US citizens must have an Immigration Services (U.S.C.I.S) Registration Card (INS Form I-551 -- Commonly known as a "Green Card". The green card must be a 10 year green card. Applicants must be between the ages of 17 and must be in BMT before age 42 years old, must speak, read and write English fluently to apply to join the Air Force. The Air Force does not bring applicants to the United States to join. You must get to the United States legally on your own and complete all immigration processing to obtain your Green Card on your own. The Air Force does not help.

Second right, a crew chief means he over the ones who do maintenance, inspections, and recory, etc. He has wings on his middle chest piece, no operating aircraft for him on officers, buddy sorry....
