I usually wear a size 11, and just bought these in 11. They feel snug with the liner in. I am going to get a size 12 just like Relentless Sportsman recommended. Keep in mind, when you take the liner out, the boot will fit like its 5 sizes too big but in reality, you will never wear them without the liner.
I just got the Baffin Hunter-I was not familiar with this brand, but now I'm sold on it. Low price, warm, made in Canada. I'll probably get the Titan by next winter, too. I wear a 10 1/2, I got the 11. It seems a bit loose, but a thicker wool sock makes it good.
Thanks for sharing. I've been interested in the Hunter for awhile now. That's the 'in between' boot right? As in, it's not for super cold sits but also not for walking long distances. Do they stay on your feet well and feel comfortable?
@@RelentlessSportsman They feel a bit loose, but comfortable for walking anyway. They are temp-rated just about right for normal winter temps in this area of Michigan, but I do have other boots for more extreme low temps
I bought a pair of the Green Titans, I have to disagree with one minor thing, and that is would they be worth getting if they were over $200 ?? I'd say yes because what price do you put on having warm Dry Feet, You can pay a fortune for boots but the Titans do it all, You will never win any prizes on the Cat Walk wearing them, The Titans are slightly narrower than the Baffin Impacts which means although I went up one size the Titan is a lot tighter than the Impacts when wear two socks so I would advise people to wear one thicker sock instead of 2 medium socks, I know that goes against what we all know to be true about layering socks but it does work best if you only go up one size, Another thing to remember is the foot print of these boots are pretty large, Measuring over 5" wide and 14" long or 125mm X 350mm Based on a Size 12US or Size 11UK, Hope that helps.
I really like muck arctic pros. Had them for 6 years even go mountain climbing wearing them. They do get cold around 10 below farenheit. I'd like to see baffin or some company make a neoprene pull on boot that's 4 times thicker than mucks Arctic pro
That would be interesting. I believe Baffin tries to stay away from neoprene for the most part because leaks often occur where the neoprene joins the rubber. I've heard good things about the arctic pros though.
I'm guessing the toe warmers don't last is because they run out of oxygen when placed on the bottom of your foot. By placing them on top of your foot, they get more oxygen and don't go out. I've used Titans for a couple of years now. They are fantastic for ice fishing. Their Eiger boots are easier to walk in, just as warm, but not as waterproof as the Titans. Finding large enough ice cleats for Titans can be a challenge.
The reason the toe warmers usually don't last is because people commonly use them with leather boots, rather than rubber. The less oxygen they have, the longer they'll last. The reason I strongly suggest placing the warmers on top of the toes is because they still keep your feet warm, but this way, you can stand comfortably, and even walk around if you'd like to.
@@RelentlessSportsman i think for the price it may not be as reliable as Titan, the glue-job needed to seal the mid-sole of apex, eiger and impact leads me to believe titan is sturdier and more durable product
I’m ready to pull the trigger on these boots but unsure of what size to order. I normally wear size 11. Many reviews say they fit true to size but many, like yours, advise going up a size. I’ve read reviews that say they are kinda loose in the heel area so I’m leery of getting a size 12. Damn. I just don’t know!
I just purchased these for ice fishing. A friend recommended these and two other brands. I used them yesterday for the first time after having the most frustrating experience ice fishing on a lake with a great deal of flood ice/water. I spent an entire day in a water resistant pair of hunting boots that were not designed for water submersion. After getting these and going out to the same area with extreme flood ice I spent my entire day with dry happy feet. I've never been a believer of waterproof boots but these changed my mind! Thanks for the great review. One thing I'd like to ask is how do you get the liners out? Is it recommended to dry them from perspiration?
I'm glad you found some boots that work well for you. I just pull the liners right out - no special trick. Although they are difficult to pull, just get a good grip and they should move out slowly. I don't know if it's recommended to dry them after each use. If my feet do sweat, I will take them out and dry them over night on a chair in front of my wood stove. While the liners are drying, I put newspaper inside the rubber boots to absorb any moisture. Thanks for watching!
Just got these for ice fishing, Xmas 2021, haven’t used them yet, but got them at a decent price I feel, $109 Canadian. My feet always get cold as well. Hope these are the answer.
You’ll be glad you purchased them. They slide on and off real easy too. My feet have the same problem with being cold. They do get cold in these boots nuts it’s during extreme cold conditions when I’m not being active. Worse case scenario, use the toe warmers like I talked about in the video.
No I haven't. I'm looking into other types of Baffin boots though. They're so affordable that it makes sense to purchase other types. Do you use the tundras?
@@RelentlessSportsman Haven't used the Tundra but I just purchased the Titans, they seem to be a well reviewed boot. And they are full rubber boot made in Canada vs China like other boots. Was looking into the sorel caribou and sorel glacier but there was a lot of mixed reviews on them so I changed my mind.

These are the warmest boots I've ever had.
Same for me.
Such good info in simple terms on this channel. Thanks you kind sir!
Agreed with the toe warmer. Always on top. I hate walking on toe warmers. The powder inside turns to like clay and it hurts.
Yes - game changer for me.

@@d.pierce.6820 Got it. The Titans for me are too heavy for walking longer distances so it would be nice to find a warm/lighter boot.
