firstly nice comparison, your real greeny looks great.
the chibson has epiphone sized pickup rings, the volume and tone knobs are not in correct positions (the tail peice looks a touch too low) , the headstock is not wide enough, the gibson logo isnt even at the right placement , and the chibsons top is probably a photo finish , even though they will tell you its a maple cap. also the switch isnt a gibson style "bowl" switch.
tuners are in wrong positions too.
i have yet too see a chibby that actually really replicates a real les paul....i know people buy these because it says gibson on the headstock...but anyone who knows guitars can see from a mile away that they are fake knock offs...people may fool themselves though if they have not really looked at a real les paul or even played one
if people really want a les paul for cheap that they can mod up, then i highly suggest going for a japanese copy like burny/fernandez...or tokai or greco, they at least get the specs right in terms of build quaility and fitting placements.(Burny is best bet for the lower prices)..hell even orvilles can be found fairly cheap at times (official japanese gibsons)
also im not against chinese guitars...they been making quality instruments for hundreds of years....Eastman guitars are far superior in hand crafted build quality than any gibson ive played and at half the price.

Yeh the gibsons really nice but it’s not probably worth 3 grand more. I’ve had custom shop Firebird it was overrated and also have a chibson greeny that sounds good. So overall it’s usually the guitarist that sounds good anyway not the guitar.

You guys are actually really sad LOL stop being so bitter I've got this exact same guitar and I also have a real Gibson's standard R9 there is no difference LOL the only thing I've noticed so far is the machine heads were a little sloppy on the knockoff other than that it plays feels and sounds just as good if not better than the real deal you guys are all just brainwashed to think that nobody can build a good guitar except for Gibson when the real truth is Gibson doesn't make quality guitars anymore and they haven't since the 60s

hello, the bodies do not seem to be identical.. the body of the chibson seems to be a little larger (in height) than the real one... is this an optical effect or I am I right? did you measure the bodies? Thank you for your answer !

I haven’t measured it yet. I haven’t been able to do much because of how small our place is we are renting now. Once I get a bigger space to make better videos and take my time to edit them and make them look have decent, instead of using my phone to film them, I’ll be coming out with a lot of different videos and comparisons.

the level is fidelity that the sound maintains is questionable relative to the sound exiting the amp, then is degraded by the recording device, then degraded by processing the video, then compressed by RUclips, then degraded again by the output speakers we listen too

I also bought both.. I actually prefer the Chibson to the real one.. I have had to sand the big neck.. it is huge and bulbous.. lol.. the real one is the worst Gibson I have ever bought.. one would think the nut would be bone.. heck, even the Sire has a bone nut.. and they are cheap.. mine is just crappy all the way around.. fun tho

I’m assuming you have a lot of guitars lol… I just bought one of these, I’m almost sure it’s the same vendor, since this guy talks about another YTer having a good experience with several of them, I think I saw that vid… I assume I’ll have to work on it a lot and ofc replace everything but the wood, but it looks like other ppl getting them from there recently are getting nice looking bodies.
Bought a relic gold top LP too, bc both have nitro finishes, for like $280/each shipped. My first time buying fake, I’ll be so psyched if nothing goes wrong.

I can tell the difference just by looking at the headstock, I see what your trying to do because the real one doesn’t say Les Paul on it, you would think that the Chinese copy would get slack at that but no lol it’s historically correct on the Gibson because the Les Paul has been smeared away over time, personally I think they should have still put it on there, why have that worn away but not the rest of the body. I’m totally wanting to get one so it doesn’t matter that much to me.

There’s a huge difference when you hold both guitars and play them in person!!
I live in Nashville, went down to Gibson Garage because I wanted to buy either a 50’s or 60’s standard, currently have a GLP Classic.
Spent about 4 hours playing different 50’s & 60’s….enjoyed them but none of them wow me until they gave me Slash’s November Burst (I’m not even a Slash fan and I NEVER thought I would buy one of those signature guitars)
Well, after holding it for 5 minutes and playing it I fell in love with it!! Big difference in my opinion between those 3 models, all Gibson.
My new Slash guitar stays in tune no problem even after I jam to GNR for hours!
There’s no comparison between a Gibson and a Epiphone, period!! No matter how many of these dumb comparison people make on RUclips! Pure clickbait!!
Epiphone has improved a lot and you get a lot of guitar for the price, and yes, they look great and sound good but that’s it!!
Nothing wrong with buying one if that’s what you like or can afford……but they are nowhere near the quality of a Gibson, sorry!! 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I totally understand that but the binding is fake in this chibson, it’s just a paint line and the ends of the frets are just painted. I chopped some off on the bottom of one of the last frets. It flaked off. It didn’t feel smooth like the plastic on a real nib. I knew it couldn’t be real 😂

so many times , chinese stuff purchasing made me just "pissed off" but when i saw those chibson you tube video, i found out sounds similar to real gibson.
decades ago i bought one gibson guitar from guitar center, it was really terrible experience. those guitars , having gibson tag on it, are not same quality. those are totaly different quality by which worker made which one. and which part. the one i purchased before had neck twist problem. i guess that was the reason it was on big "sale"
chinese chison same thing. which person make which guitar will make big different on the guitar. so i guess we should go to the shop and try before we pay for it.

Look bro, nowhere in your recordings do I see that you presented the main thing - the tone sound of these two guitars, which is basic.
Which one is prettier, or looks more original, is bullshit, guitars are not photos, they are there to be played.
Even if the original is the original (whatever that means), if there is no spirit-finger that will create tone and madness, let it be the most beautiful for nothing - it is not worth it.
