A few years back I bought a Jimmy Page model off AliExpress. After replacing all the hardware, levelling and dressing the frets, I had a great playing and sounding guitar that didn’t break the bank. The quality looks like it’s improved.
Definitely. Coincidentally ever since the Epiphone factory moved its production to China, that it’s seemed like the Chibson’s have really stepped up in quality. I’m not one for spreading rumors but the quality jump since the company moved to China, the Chibsons are noticeably different. Seems like today they actually use real maple caps with thin veneers overs the top, real mahogany neck and on some standard and most custom models, you actually have a chance you might find one with an actual ebony board. Also recently found out they do indeed use real mother of pearl inlays, just not near as nice as Gibson’s. But still that’s a lot in a guitar for the money.
I did the exact same thing! Only I did pay an extra $300 for a “ real” flame maple top and another $100 for it to be a 1 piece mahogany body! Pretty much after all the hardware and real PAFs I put into it , yeah! I could’ve just bought a real les Paul lol. But man this guitar is the 2nd best guitar I have ! My PRS CE custom being the best, but it was worth it .
I work for a furniture store years ago when I was in my early twenties where they manufactured furniture and a lot of it had to look like antique furniture. so we had to smack everything up with a big Ring full of keys and different ways of dinging the surface to make it look like it's old and then painting it to look like a real antique and you couldn't tell the difference, but they were obviously less expensive than the real antiques. It was a very interesting job and I learned a lot they had some really cool stuff to repair broken furniture and you couldn't tell where the thing was ever broken I was good at that stuff😎

I purchased a fake Ace Frehley budokan guitar nearly 3 years ago, absolute love it, stays in tune, and still has the original strings. Id say its almost up there with Epiphone, paid $370 AUS$, came to my door in 7 days flat
Ok, yeah that sounds really good! With minimal work so far, really liking the tones. Can't wait to see what else you do to it. Might have to get one myself but I know it can be a crap shoot when it comes to knock offs. Thank you for the video. Subscribed!
As a real les paul owner..... I'm cool with chibsons. As long as you're not trying to pass it off as real. Besides, I'd rather take that to a gig than my real one!
Same, honestly. I bought a Donner Telecaster style guitar and after a few upgrades, It's a beast. EMG T-Series pickups, locking tuners and new fender string trees. Plays great.
I'm totally OK rubbing off the GIbson logo and basically using these like a base kit to build an "homage" to some of my favorite guitar players & their guitars. Definitely a "just for me" kind of thing
Past owner of 3 70's Kalamazoo artisans and numerous other LP's including a cherry in the 80's, and a natural w a maple neck in 2011, I obviously have a spot for the real thing, cost is a HUGE problem but....last thing America needs is more Chinese goods coming in. sorry
Also bought the Gary Moore relic for 307.00 love it .took 2 months to get here but exceeded my expectations, and keep it out ready to play and keep the oldies locked up.
If a feller was handy he could build a wood frame around that foam packaging and skin it with thin plywood and case material, use the already supplied guitar shape on the inside and glue some type of fabric to it, screw handles locks and protective corners to it and you have a nice custom case for your Geeeeeiinah guitar!
You need to flip the magnet in the neck pickup to get the Greeny sound in the middle position. Once you do that, it won't matter which way you have the pickup facing,
100% Correct. Turning the pickup around doesn't change the magnets relationship with the coil . Need to flip mag or swap the wires around on the potentiometer (easier)
It’s awesome , with the price tag of vehicles the manufacturer should give them away , spare tire , & car jack to the buyers , they make more than enough profit
Sounds great in your hands Marty! I've always been in the camp that looks at these things as counterfeit Gibsons and honestly wouldn't have a problem with it if it didn't say Gibson on the headstock. Now if it said...Gibsin... that would be cool and I'd be all for it! Long live Rock n' Roll !!! 😂🤘🎸
A guitar shop I used to hang out at had a guitar someone had bought in person in the orient. It was a GIvson. The guy who bought it was friends with the shop owner and gave it to him. He had to do a lot of work to make it playable. It was cool. Imagine something like a Florentine cut Brydland but with no pickups or pots. It was super light, felt like it was made of paper.
i bought one of these also. I had to adjust the truss rod as it would not play around the 7 fret.. got it dialed in. I also bought the real deal for 3100 bucks.. I have to say, I like the Chibson better.. there are so many issues with the real deal it's unreal.. I had to sand the neck to a reasonable size. It had bulbous sides and a lump under the wood near the neck/body connection. The nut sucks and sticks, the strings plink out. One knob was broken when it got here.. I almost returned it. I'm still working on it. Personally it's really hard to tell the dif in pickup sound.. my Chibson also has the dime sized Pots.. will put new electronics in it. Can't wait to see how you upgrade yours. This is not my first Chibson.. I have many, one already upgraded and that one sounds really different from my others.. so I was surprised that this Greeny sounded so good comparatively speaking. Have fun.
Marty, nice Review,,for under $ 610.00 I bought a Telecaster, Stratocaster, Les Paul,, Gibson style hollowbody, & a 6 string bass, all China made, each month I expected to get ripped off, to my amazement they all proved to be very well built, usual same woods, electronics and hardware was amazingly high quality. Grabbed them cheaper early this year now the prizes are climbing. So I had a feeling the 90.$ Tele, the $150 Les Paul were going to increase in price, all sellers did, Thanks for your guitar tips brother. Ant Does your silent ending with no comment mean that you were possibly satisfied with the Chinese knock off?
It looks and sounds great! I bought two Chibsons (LP and ES-345) and a Chickenbacker 325 within the last two years and with minimal setup time by myself, they sound and look great. And as several commenters have said, why take the chance at a gig of having your "legit" guitars stolen or puked on? As long as you don't sell them as OEM guitars I don't see a problem with it at all. Plus, replacement parts sales for electronics and hardware on these copies drives a lot of $$$ back into the pockets of the companies we "cheated" on.
@@davidmarks5400 Indeed it was. A bar patron stumbled up to us during a break and asked if we could play Freebird. Then projectile vomited on my 1970 Les Paul Custom. Luckily, it washed off easily. But that was it for taking an expensive guitar out in public.
@@ishatype2764 Yeah, I've seen and heard just about everything out there-never seen or had one puked on though. Never had one stolen either during breaks or loading-unloading,one of us was always watching like a hawk.
Wow I’m pretty impressed! I never thought I would be blown away by a Chibson but yeah I’m really surprised! Your chops were crushing as well! I really wann see what it sounds like with your upgrades!
I ordered one too yesterday. Will be here next week if everything works. Well, if it's not as good as yours, it'll serve as a very cool wall decoration.
I got one of these from China but mines got fret nibs I've changed everything its got Gibson reissue 57 humbuckers, Gibson pot's, vintage capacitors, Schaller turners, Gibson 3 way switch , frets leaved and polished ,relic hardware and like you say the neck and I put an artificial split in headstock like on the real greeny all in all it turned out to be a really nice guitar I still looking for a monty's bethnal green pad humbucker for the right price for the neck Good luck with yours
I've bought a few of these Chibsons and had a couple that were ok and 1 that was horrible. If buying one. You should be willing to replace bridge, wiring, pots ,caps, tuners and pups at a minimum. I would also replace nut and tailpiece.
After all that replacing you are getting into the higher quality Epiphone bracket but would anyone know, i doubt it, if it looks pretty decent and it plays with the minimum amount of effort to set it up play it. All parts can be replaced as and when it suits or when its affordable, In my opinion these guitars are aimed mostly to the people who would like a Gibson Les Paul but cannot afford the stupidly high prices that they ask. who wants to pay $20,000 for a guitar that probably would only be put into storage some where. I have a 2002 Les Paul that i bought new and a cheap "Vintage make" V99 that i bought for a stupidly low price in a auction both play very similar and i would not replace anything. Both have faults but the £1600 GBP that i paid for the 2002 LP then is not justified now. I know people in the US will be saying that you should buy American made but if they cannot make something more affordable then go elsewhere, buy something that you can afford and play with the possibility that one day you can buy your dream guitar and these seem to fit the bill.
From a distance, if you said you got a Gibson Greeny, I would totally have believed it! Like you said, even as wall art, it would be great! Neck pickup sounds better than the bridge pickup. Can't wait for part 2. Even though i think putting expensive parts in this makes no sense!
Agree! Do Not expense this out! Didn’t get to the “warm” finger picking mood riffs but hey we’re talking electronics and fretboard strings, right? Adjusted or not, this is a $4k guitar.
Well Gibson has kind of got me backed into corner,as much as quality has improved in past few years the price has gotten just crazy,im a normal working guy and if i spent 3 to 5 grand on a les paul, im certainly not going to gigg with it or beat it up,so i can get copy for next to nothing, upgrade it and have a decent player grade guitar, now i would never try to sell one as a Gibson, most guitar people could tell what it is as soon as they glance at a few things and you can always just order one with no brand name, the moral of the story is Gibson needs to find some soultion other that some guys getting rich off of the Gibson name,i love Gibsons, there history there innovation in guitar building, but 20 for a guitar is absolutely insane for the majority of working people who just dont have that kind of money, rant over.
6:40 The tuners on Greeny are not Grover, instead they are Sperzel non-locking ones. They are really difficult to find these days; unlike the locking ones.
I'm blown away not gonna lie, I build guitars so I know what goes into a build like that, how are they doing that for under $400 even with cheap parts and CNC machines? If you don't know what you are looking at you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between this guitar and an actual Gibson, crazy!
I am not a guitar builder but I would guess they price is low due to the hardware, cheap electronics, multiple piece mahogany like/relative body, less good quality (possibly soft instead of hard) maple with veneer, cheaper workforce, probably 0 or very minimal marketing expenses etc
I think they make good copies of Greenies, what I do is to flip the magnet180% in Neck pickup, so that in the middle position it has an out phase - a real greenie tone. And one more important detail, I take out the metal bushings on the bridge, and place the screws that hold the bridge directly in the wood, this has a favorable effect on the transmission of resonance, like with old LPs. I notice that the wiring is typical Chinese-serial, the capacitors seem to be soldered to the pin of the ton pot and the other end to ground. It is better when one end of the capacitor goes from one of the pins of the volume pot (vintage/modern), and the other to one of the pins of the tone pot, certainly one of the other two pins of the tone pot is grounded. Anyway, it looks and sounds good.
Looks Great.. I agree about the neck... I bet it will be Awesome with new pots & pickups.. Most of the Chinese Guitars my wife & I get are actually in cardboard not foam.. You could use the foam for a wooden Case if you make it...
I got about $475 in my chibson with case after a trip to the luthier, plays better than my real LP but don’t sound near as good as the $2500 LP but I enjoy it and it’s aged really good I would never sell it.
What a great guitar for pubs and clubs. You definitely wont be shit scared to leave it unattended on the stage. I love the Japanese knockoffs Like Greco. Also look good and sound great, just put in a great pair of pickups and way to go. Great value for money.
Great video! I got a relic'ed one last October. By the looks of yours, it looks like mine came from the same manufacturer as the fit and finish looks very, very similar. Mine's supposed to be a relic'ed '59 in dark sunburst, I turned it into a little Slash project and turned out great. Electronics and hardware aside, it's pretty well made and it even came with a well cut bone nut!
Very Cool, Thankyou. Stunning Guitar, Looks and Sounds amazing. I have tried ordering a couple of guitars from China to Australia, but for some reason our Customs has canned the deal. Got money back but still disappointing. I suppose it has something to do with 'Counterfeit' as I have ordered Rickenbacker copies. Would love one of these, but have just ordered from an Australian Company 'Artist Guitars' a LP 'Apricot Burst' which is Identical to the Slash "Apetite Burst" LP so will be my 'Greeny' Guitar too, lol, With Hard Case $400- so a good price for Australian Prices, and Artist Guitars make Quality Guitars with awesome finishes and amazing Playability. They are available now in USA market, apparently and well worth checking out if into quality 'Budget' Guitars. Cheers
I’m in The U.K. and have the Artist LP59, great guitar with amazing tones from their “Bullbucker” pickups which I believe are based on the Seymour Duncan JB Jazz set! Although ok, the bridge and locking tuners could benefit from being upgraded and I plan to when I have the time. So far I have modified the headstock to look more like the Gibson “open book”, put on a more authentic looking trussrod cover, and added strap locks and a pick guard as I personally think Les! Pauls look naked without one
Bought a Chinese guitar some years ago. Awesome stuff for under £200. After I changed the strings. One thing I can’t get my head around is relicing. Would you go to a Ferrari dealer and say I will buy your best new motor but I want you to curb it a few times , scuff up the interior trim and sand blast the bonnet ? Yes I’m old !
@@bigbasil1908 Chibsons are getting better each years but it really depends on the manufacturer/seller. The QC is almost inexistant and the materials used isn't that good. Chibsons are way better than Harley benton though. I didn't have an Epiphone to compare too but the quality doesn't beat an american LP in the end. With a nice setup and mods, a Chibson is probably the best money worth guitar though.
@@WW-1995 I recently got an epiphone les paul studio and it's so easy to play and sounds and feels really good to play. It's a bit of a plain looking guitar but it's brilliant.
I did the same about a month ago. I was surprised on frets and set up. It wasn’t bad. It felt good to play and didn’t sound bad. My top was really flamey but lighter shade with a very light coat of finish. As yours knobs and poker chip were terrible hardware on mine wasn’t reliced and had kluson tulip copies that look like pea soup. I thought the finish sanding could of been better. All in all I’m not disappointed. I’m doing the same as you and hope to have something looks cool plays well and I don’t have to worry about. Can’t wait to see more on yours
It sounds really good. I think that if you get a guitar with the same shape, same wood, and a good set of pickups, you would arrive at the same sound as something that costs thousands. All the fancy paint, and knobs, logos and other crap doesn't really do anything to improve the sound.
Just sold my last 2 Chibsons this past week. No major flaws in any of the ones I bought; in fact I had better luck with them quality wise than Firefly. Just too many impulse buys over the last couple of years so thinning the herd. One of the main disadvantages is you will take a bath when you try to sell them on the used market since they are, well, counterfeits. Great playing!
how do you list them without getting pulled? i’m in the same boat , a gold es 275 .. only upgrade a retro whammy bar on the bigsby.. too many to ever use 😂
Yours is a lot better than mine! The build wasn't too bad, and it did have a 1 peace neck. But it looked nothing like Greene! I changed everything alnico 2s, lockingtuners, roller bridge, pots! Including refinishing! But the mid rounded neck shape! its now one of my favorites! Thanks Marty 😊 my had long neck tenning ps now mine looks nothing like greene!😅
I bought a 57 Les Paul off Aliexpress and the build quality and sound is amazing. Has a two-piece mahogany body and a proper maple cap. The setup out of the box was 99% perfect. I changed the tuners for Gibson Les Paul style Wilkinson tuners. Looks a hell of a lot better now. I'll be changing a few other things over time. But, one thing I will be doing is make it so it can never be passed off as a real Gibson.
That thing looks pretty good so far! Sometimes it's about your fingers. Your guitar playing is amazing dude. Doesn't hurt to plug it in to those legendary amps that you have man. Sounded pretty good as far as tone goes. Can't wait to see part 2 with your upgrades and changes. I thought about getting a China flying V, heard so many bad things. People saying that the Floyd Rose that it comes with and locking nut have to be upgraded. For the cheap price a person can get that look, just do the upgrades then? Imagine gigging with that after you upgrade it. People in the audience that haven't seen this video will think that your playing with a $50,000.00 guitar. 😁 killer video man. Also cant wait to see what your buddy Ed has to say! Would be killer to see a video of him playing this! 😁🎸 Thanks Man!
Hey Marty, I bought one of these (non-relic'd) Chibson Greenies about a year or so ago. I think I paid like 200 or 250 shipped. I love the guitar. I couldn't believe the quality---and for me, a very casual, at-home, non-gigging player, the guitar is close enough to the real thing for me. I found myself before ordering and after watching every Greenie documentary I could find. Happy I didn't have to pay what Hammett did, lol I look forward to your series on this. Thanks 👍
@@green461 by the hoo, it is legal to own at least one of these. As long as you aren't looking to resell it and/or advertise as the real thing. Based on my unsupported Google research, there is a slim chance it can get seized by customs and you will get a nasty letter from Gibson's lawyers. But for the most part, they are going after the major buyers and resellers. So order one at a time and be happy. They let US citizens who have traveled abroad and bought a counterfeit item at least 1 item, because there is so much of this going on, and again, as long as it is for your personal use and you don't intend to sell it, you're fine. More info than you may have wanted, but questions I had before and during ordering.
@@dougsmaintenanceshop5868 Thanks, I did some research and found some. I want one to mess around with, i like rewiring, building them, basically a test mule and dont want to take apart and modify my real one. I ordered 2 off ebay, (different sellers) one greenie and then another R9 one. One was 100. so my expectations are low, if i can go through them and they are good enough platforms to replace everything cool.. if not they will be living room wall decorations. If the greenie sets up well i'll put some SD green magic pickups in, set it up like the real one, and have a nice sounding LP that i dont care if gets scratched... a beater kind of. and the other one to do some R&D work on.. to see what i can make of it.
Marty you did really good on that one. I’ve been thinking about buying one too. I tried to relic one myself, but you were so right, it is hard to relic a laminate/veneer. I sanded through it. Turned it into a gold top. Looks pretty good. The back and sides look like the the real one. You can use a nail to scratch the head stick break and it will look fantastic. It will feel great when you sand down the neck. Enjoy!! Jessie from Tennessee
Nice suggestions man! I am gonna do some more relic work on the neck and sides while I wait for the pickups to arrive. Then I'll reveal the final product. And demo both sets of pickups. On thing... the bridge kinda sucks. I may try to find an Epiphone or chibson bridge to replace this fake ABR. It's set ok now but now easily adjustable for future use.
My two Chibsons I've had now for almost 5 years are still going strong and very solid. All those haters saying the neck will warp this that and the other full of crap they are ! Hey even the strings are reliced
I think it sounds better then any Gibson, and quality is better too. I ordered this and prefer it over my R9 any time. Actually I sold my R9 and spent all money on girls and booze cause I don't need expensive useless Gibson anymore. Well done, Chibson!
Every one of these relics I have bought with and without solid tops set up adjusted sound absolutely beautiful. I know what real PAF's sound like because i have been peddling guitars since 72 in stores. That has a very PAF sound especially when you are undistorted.. There is no magic in copying a pickup.

A lot of times, they look much better than they play. With that said, I owned one that was pretty comparable to a nicer Epiphone. Of course, this was after spending $400 to get it into a playable condition. In total, it cost around $800. Not worth the gamble. Everyone is always "impressed" right out of the box because they are practically "eye candy." Give it a week, and you realize they are not players right out of the box.
I bought a Fender Chinese Squier Precision Bass many tears ago and to be honest the build was second to none. Maybe the pickups needed changing but other than that I was very Impressed. I am not a bass guitarist btw, Les Pauls are my thing. I never liked those fret nibs anyway. When the neck shrinks they can open up and grab the top string on pull offs. My '68 has been re-fretted and it feels better that my other LPs with the fret binding.
They are using mahogany and maple tops and putting gibson on headstock but no where on mine is a serial number. I wanted a cheap copy and I am satisfied with what I got for 300.00. Got me practicing again which was the point, the vintage stuff stays locked up and this one stays by the couch.
I got the non reliced version. Same price. It’s also Matt finished. They wrapped the strings around the tail piece. The biggest tell it the headstock angle. Needs a fret levelling as well.
@@MCL502 how would I know? I wasn't a fan of the matt finish and just sanded and polished it. Looks better now. The headstalk is a bit weak as far as the finish goes. If I keep it I'll probably put a few coats of lacquer on it and change the tuners to actual gibson tuners. When I bought it they showed me pictures and it had the same weak tuners on it and I had already told them I wanted the Kluson style. I mentioned this and they sold that one to someone else and re-made mine with kluson style tuners. Added about 2 weeks to the process
I saw one of these on Reverb. Being sold out of France 1,250, free shipping. Th slight give away was in small print-It took me 34 minutes to find/see it-chibson-I feel sorry for the person that did not catch it-Reberv will do nothing.

No lazy cutaway, and a decent looking bridge that's not a dead giveaway as an Epiphone. Nice. Replace the larger Epiphone style pickup rings if necessary.
The pickups are supposed to be opposite of each other. Thats what made it a “greeny” the reverse polarity of the pickups is what gave it the signature sound.
The neck pickup for greeny was fixed and magnets put in wrong, making it out of phase. Putting pickups in backwards won't actually change the sound. It's the magnets.
The Bridge Pickup sounds great, the Neck Pickup sounds like not very well like normal Les Paul does. I changed it by a Di Marzio Blues Bucker, thats what I like....
I don't know how they feel under the fingers but wow those pickups actually sound pretty decent. It dosent seem like like your struggling to get the sounds u want out of the guitar. Some guitars u just dig and dig and u can never get it to respond and sound the way u want
You had better than average luck on this one. The pups aren’t microphonic and it seems the setup is satisfactory straight out of the box. The Chibs I’ve ordered have all been nice, but I nearly always have the music store’s repair guy straighten things out and install a different set of pups, which I order cheap off Amazon…hate to break the subject, but there are “Chibson” (in a sense) pickups! Obscure devs such as “Kmise” who make perfectly good pickups which cost around $30 for the full set of two. I’ve ordered cheap pups three times for swapping out in Chibsons, and none of them have been lemons. And they sound very good, not “just okay”. It’s kind of unbelievable, lol.
I picked up '59 burst w/case for around $350, maybe 6 years ago. Frets were nasty at the edges and it weighed a tonne, plus had a huge neck compared to my Tele. I put it away for a couple years, but pulled it out last month and played it for a bit before I sold it, it sounded okay, but nothing of the sound and quality of the build you have there out of the box for the same price virtually. Quality has gone up in leaps and bounds by the looks of it..
Sounds really good, not what I was expecting at all, solid purchase man
A few years back I bought a Jimmy Page model off AliExpress. After replacing all the hardware, levelling and dressing the frets, I had a great playing and sounding guitar that didn’t break the bank.

Once again proving that amps are more important to tone then the actual pickups

Why do you say that?

You need to flip the magnet in the neck pickup to get the Greeny sound in the middle position. Once you do that, it won't matter which way you have the pickup facing,
True. I have a set of custom wound greeny pickups being mailed to me by a sponsor. Should get them Saturday ... there will be a part 2. 😎🍺

100% Correct. Turning the pickup around doesn't change the magnets relationship with the coil . Need to flip mag or swap the wires around on the potentiometer (easier)

It does say Gibsun. Very nice
Man this chibson are getting better and better. Looks and sounds great 👍

i bought one of these also. Have fun.
Marty, nice Review,,for under $ 610.00
I bought a Telecaster, Stratocaster, Les Paul,, Gibson style hollowbody, & a 6 string bass, all China made, each month I expected to get ripped off, to my amazement they all proved to be very well built, usual same woods, electronics and hardware was amazingly high quality.
Grabbed them cheaper early this year now the prizes are climbing. So I had a feeling the 90.$ Tele, the $150 Les Paul were going to increase in price, all sellers did, Thanks for your guitar tips brother.

Does your silent ending with no comment mean that you were possibly satisfied with the Chinese knock off?
It looks and sounds great! I bought two Chibsons (LP and ES-345) and a Chickenbacker 325 within the last two years and with minimal setup time by myself, they sound and look great. And as several commenters have said, why take the chance at a gig of having your "legit" guitars stolen or puked on? As long as you don't sell them as OEM guitars I don't see a problem with it at all. Plus, replacement parts sales for electronics and hardware on these copies drives a lot of $$$ back into the pockets of the companies we "cheated" on.
I can just imagine somebody coming up and puking on your guitar in a club. That would be bad, it happens all the time.
@@davidmarks5400 Indeed it was. A bar patron stumbled up to us during a break and asked if we could play Freebird. Then projectile vomited on my 1970 Les Paul Custom. Luckily, it washed off easily. But that was it for taking an expensive guitar out in public.

I've bought a few of these Chibsons and had a couple that were ok and 1 that was horrible. If buying one. You should be willing to replace bridge, wiring, pots ,caps, tuners and pups at a minimum. I would also replace nut and tailpiece.
Yeh, the bridge is a little sketch... but overall a killer piece. It's really quite impressive. Got lucky with this one. 😎🤟🏻
@@paulyates5092 Who is paying $20,000 for a Les Paul? Virtually no one. But yeah, Gibson Les Paul's are expensive.

Agree! Do Not expense this out! Didn’t get to the “warm” finger picking mood riffs but hey we’re talking electronics and fretboard strings, right? Adjusted or not, this is a $4k guitar.
Great sounding pickups for a Chibson. You lucked out!
How do they make these at such a low sale price?
Either slave labor, or with subsidies from the CCP or both.
Dude, these are skilled people making these guitars, not "slave labor".
@@grubbetuchus You think the Chinese government actually pays factories to make these !!!!!! Lol !!!!
@@marine4lyfe85
How do you know this? You don't. You're guessing. Fine and dandy.

A lot of times, they look much better than they play. With that said, I owned one that was pretty comparable to a nicer Epiphone. Of course, this was after spending $400 to get it into a playable condition. In total, it cost around $800. Not worth the gamble. they really are somehow both at the same time
I bought a Fender Chinese Squier Precision Bass many tears ago and to be honest the build was second to none. Maybe the pickups needed changing but other than that I was very Impressed. I am not a bass guitarist btw, Les Pauls are my thing. I never liked those fret nibs anyway. When the neck shrinks they can open up and grab the top string on pull offs.
53 and 50 on the pickups could be pole spacing. 53 for bridge.

Great content as always
That is a great guitar and it sounds great. ...at least in your hands it does.
Thanks man, I appreciate that!
