These chibsons make sense as a gigging guitar,as prices climb for the real ones, it's not worth taking them to a gig anymore, when you can grab one of these and your hands and ears won't know the difference, I like the chibsons because they come the closest in the budget guitar market,to the feel of a real LP in your hands, they look the part, and sound great after upgrades, it's like using a stunt double.
Actually your hands and ears WILL know a difference between the real deal and the bootleg. On the bootleg Gibson guitar, your hand will need stitches after running your hand across the fretboard and it'll go out of tune after 1 minute of playing. None of that is true for the AUTHENTIC Chibson brand guitar.

Hey, brother! I didn't know you had any Chibsons. Love the Greeny!!! You sounded good with it. Also love your new video ending with the wolf howling and skinwalker ranch. In end of December 2023 I took the plunge I bought the EVH "Wolfchang" 2015 tour relic from China. Originally the seller posted pictures of a real 2015 tour relic pretending that was the guitar that they would ship. i was communicating with the seller and then he sent me pictures of what was being shipped. it was the tour relic but the fingerboard was rosewood instead of ebony look. the cutout for the tremolo was cut so you can pull up on the trem, not just divebomb. In the original image it had the dtuna, the pickup holes are cut a little square for regular humbuckers, not the evh humbuckers. The guitar is very good for $300 I also advised the seller that what he was shipping wasn't the same as what he posted and sent him proof that i can get the same guitar that he was shipping for less elsewhere. I also offered to pay the $300 for what he posted which he couldnt furbish. He agreed to lower the price to what we agreed was fair. he shipped it.The guitar came within a week to New York. January the process began to get it to what i wanted or as close to the 2015 tour relic. I got the EVH Strap - sweetwater. I got relic'd brass dog clasps on ebay. i bought for now a evh bridge pickup - sweetwater. 500k evh low friction volume pot.i bought dtuna, i bought black india ink to ebonize the fretboard. also ill buy some bass wood to fill in behind the tremolo as well as use bondo to round off the pickup cavities. then match the paint. so i can make it look like nothing was done to it and as close to the real tour relic.
Great video, but it looks like the pickup cover on the bridge pickup is the wrong size. The screw pole pieces don't line up with the holes in the pickup cover.
I highly recommend changing the pickups to Brandonwound Pickups. The owner made the Greenybuckers for Gibson but his company makes pickups for cheaper than /Gibsons. Best humbuckers I've ever heard.
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker Rad!. Check him out sometime though. I have his JP#1 set in a MIJ Les Paul Custom and his T-Tops in an SG. So, so good brother. Family-owned, inexpensive, guaranteed. Apparently, he bought the machines from the old Gibson factory and he owns the original molds for T-Tops. So his stuff is also great for returning a vintage Gibson to stock. Super nice guy and gets right back to you, and will custom wind whatever you want. The best pickups by far I've ever heard. And I'm 54 and worked in a vintage shop for 10 years and saw every vintage guitar come across our counter.
Gibson also hired him to make a whole line of underwound versions of their classics. I'm just glad I can still buy from his website as I'm sure his pickups are still better than what Gibson had him make.
As far as Chibsons go there is a channel called "FULTON STREET BEATS". The guy is kinda annoying but he's obsessed with Chibsons and is constantly getting them and doing deep dives. His builder is "Cathy".
Cathy will build custom stuff. Will use nitro and put anything you want on the headstock. This guy has an SG with an Angus logo and a Gretsch with a Malcolm logo. Cool looking.

How did this make it through customs?? I just ordered one from the greater china and i'm worried that customs will confiscate it. I also ordered it from ebay. Any thoughts on that??
I would definetely buy it from you if you want to sell it. Almost perfect shape, well positioned knobs, wide body binding, golden/yellowish logo, rosewood fingerboard. It does not have the so famous bad made fretnibs. This rounded frets at edge are much better. Don't know why people are so addicted to fretnibs. It is probably impossible to find a 50s les paul with them preserved.
Kool🎸Did you ever try top wrapping the strings?? Nice playing btw. The E A & D pole pieces on the bridge pickup are screwed in pretty deep. Is that on purpose for sound or is it a Greenie spec?? Cheers✌️😎☯️
I’ve tried to feel guilty about the Chibsons, Chenders and Chofner Paul McFartney Union jackoff bass I’ve ordered over a couple of years, but I can’t work up feeling sorry for Gibson, even though they only charge $12,000 for planks of wood with strings stapled to them. I’m such a bastard. Yours looks nice.
