Foreign aid's contribution to development is contested. Pakistan appears to be an aid-addicted country. Every government has adopted a Fund program,
seldom with success. Instead of reform and good policy, successive governments have chosen to beg for aid.
There are about 40+ official donors in the country, all of whom confront policy-makers regularly with their contrasting and competing priorities, overlapping project activities, and choice of aid modalities and instruments. It was a country essentially created by daylight ROBBERY and sustained on "imdaad" (aid) as though it is a "God-given privilege" !! And also... may I ask WHY was the "Elephant in the Room" i.e. the Military Expenditures over the years not even mentioned in the above conversation...?? A proper "case study of how/why nations FAIL" - thy name is Pakistan!!
