  • Foreign aid's contribution to development is contested. Pakistan appears to be an aid-addicted country. Every government has adopted a Fund program,
seldom with success. Instead of reform and good policy, successive governments have chosen to beg for aid.
There are about 40+ official donors in the country, all of whom confront policy-makers regularly with their contrasting and competing priorities, overlapping project activities, and choice of aid modalities and instruments. Our policy capacity is incapable of dealing with this complexity of the aid delivery system. #ForeignAid #Pakistan #IMF #WorldBank #Loan #Debt
At the #EconFest, we shall discuss the following:
    Is Pakistan an aid-dependent country?
What have we achieved with the help of development partners?
What is the true cost of foreign aid?
How to improve the effective value of foreign aid?

Former Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan
    ■ STEVEN RYNECKI

33:40 the very intelligent gentleman (a rare breed in Pakistan) speaks about some electric train of the 1960s that is now in an 'Ajayabghar" ... I believe that many would say that "Pakistan" (as a country) ITSELF now belongs in a Museum 👍👍😊
It was a country essentially created by daylight ROBBERY and sustained on "imdaad" (aid) as though it is a "God-given privilege" !! And also... may I ask WHY was the "Elephant in the Room" i.e. the Military Expenditures over the years not even mentioned in the above conversation...?? A proper "case study of how/why nations FAIL" - thy name is Pakistan!!

One thing I noticed in the hosts of pides they are impatient for asking questions and do not pay attentions to answers,it's not good behaviour to serve guests also

    Why aid ???
A pet dog always likes “biscuits”
Aid by foreign powers = Biscuits thrown towards pet dog.
