- I had high expectations about the Mont Marte Acrylic Paint Set of 12, especially since it’s a popular Australian brand, and one always does have a presumption that expensive means great quality. Did this set meet expectations? Find out in this video!
Mont Marte is an Australian brand and they offer wide range of products like paints, brushes, mediums and even artist papers.
The Mont Marte Signature collections is designed to be used for both art as well as craft projects. These paints can be used on most surfaces including canvas, cardboard and leather. They claim to have Good coverage and a creamy texture and dry to a semi-matte finish
Mont Marte also has a Premium Dimension range which has ultra-thick consistency that dries hard and holds shape while still maintaining flexibility and smooth flow-ability.
They also have Mont Marte Fluoro Acrylics that may be used to add luminescent colours and the Mont Marte Metallic Acrylics to add an extra bit of sparkle to your artwork. And ofcourse they have the Mont Marte Pouring Acrylic Paint which are Pre-mixed and ready to pour and are Ideal for acrylic pour painting and fluid art

Add corn meal! I've had this set and mixing color does result in dullness because the pigment they use activates and dilutes more strongly when used with its own kind (hence the darker shade upon use of the same color over and over).
Adding corn meal to the mixed shade gives it a thicker consistency, causing the pigment particles to bind closely and give the expected result.
This is disappointing, considering the price, that we have to make an additional effort to get a mixed shade, but most brands do require one thing or the other to be added in while mixing.
The only reason this brand is hyped is because of its matte (yet glossy) finish upon drying.
Hard to find an honest MM reviews. Most MM reviews are from their salesmen hyping MM. So good job and exposing this brand overratedness. Btw $12 for a set is cheap compare to it will cost you bout $112 (Matessi)

Was let down by Mont Marte's WC Spring Autumn WC set. It was too chalky, hard to rewet and colours crumbled and cracked bad and settled into all corners of palette. I really doubt if they are a "professional" artist brand or a student grade brand.

I use this set if 24 paints. They are thick,creamy,vibrant and not dull at all,one of the best paints of all time. I wonder what happened to your set.
I really wish I had a better experience. But since you have positive feedback, I would definitely try and pick up another 24 tube box sometime in future to recheck. 👍🏻

I think there's a slight but yet very noticeable difference between the Mont Marte Signature and Mont Marte Premium. When I took a closer look to the box Sophia showed, it said Signature, not Premium. From the reviews I've been reading on Amazon there indeed seems to be a difference in quality between the both. Where as the Mont Marte Signature one being on the overall lower end of quality. Are you using the Signature or Premium one?🤔

I went to a nearby art store and enquired about this set but the shop keeper told me that it is not worth using.
That's because shop keepers often try to sell you a more expensive item. The more you spend the more profit they make.
which acrylic paint do you recommend?
So far I have found the Camel Acrylic paints to be the most versatile. The Sonnet from the Nevskaya Palitra brand are quite good too.

If she prefers acrylic painting- set of camel acrylic paints, with small canvases and synthetic brushes.
