9 Lakhs+ Views
Haydos is here with us taking a taxi ride in the famous Bombay Kaali Peeli for a classic breakfast at a classic location. The Mongoose bat ace star Matthew Hayden tells Gaurav Kapur about his family made themselves self-sustained, which helped him become a popular cook in the Australian dressing room. He explains his onions & tomatoes theory and how he applied it in cricket, his 6 hours practice session with his brother, and why he like to sit for hours behind the stumps.
Know when he wasn't allowed to talk to Brian Lara and why he finds it tough to travel back home from India.

he and danny left posh restaurants unlike others ..Why do aussies turn out to be so sweet unlike their nature on the pitch ??
Well, Danny's a Kiwi :P
aditya kashyap
Bhayya ela unnav?
Because they are taught that way. It’s the systems fault. At pitch there is no friendship. A game is a game
@@ManasviSSharma Aussies on the field and off the field are completely different , that win at any cost mentality
I was about to post this comment. They are indeed humble to just visit these casual places
Amazing person...@8.30...he tells his perspective of how he takes his game..superb....really inspiring...
I loved this man at the top of Aussie line up..... His batting was no nonsense and blunt much like his personality.... Epitomised controlled aggression .... Something very foreign to people back then
One of the best chat shows on you tube. Gaurav thank you for creating this
Favourite one.good one mate.what a gem of a guy Matt is
Gauvrave gud yaar... enjoyed it thoroughly
Wow..amazing
He explained about focusing of sight track..
"You are as good as your next ball."
Those days... when Hayden n Gilchrist open for Australia... I used be shaken...
paul kellerman (prison break) and mathew hayden
I'll send an invoice 😂
Hayden's biceps are bigger than gaurav's thighs
shubham pohekar 🤣🤣🤣
shubham pohekar so funny 😝
😂😂💯😂😁
Savage mate
Shubham pohenkar Gaurav ke thighs ka measurement tune kab liya bhai😂😂😂😂
Dude can you please get Dale steyn on this show would love to watch him
Akshay Ahir YESSSSSSSSSS
Ohh Yes! That would be awesome. Love Dale Steyn!
yessssss pleasssssss gauravvv. get steynnnn please !
Do the show with Sachin Tendulkar
Seriously
One of the most Brutal Batsmen i have seen in my Childhood.
Always loved his Batting :)
One of my fav batsmen I've seen in my time alongside Tendulkar, Saeed Anwar, Lara, Kristen...
True man 😊
his shot making was incredible , no hanky panky scoop poop paddle , just strong straight long powerful shot making with great timing 😊
i mean scoops are something too , but nowadays most people overuse that cause they are not good enough to play straight & hit long
I love it now, not in 2003-07 when I was downright annoyed when he used to slay our pace attack. 😅😂 Tough times
@@AsifMahbubProtik not beautiful like dravid,sachin,gilly
Gilly was more brutal
Matthew Hayden & Adam Gilchrist..followed by Ricky Ponting. The deadliest trio world cricket has ever seen.
Clarke is equaly good if not better !
How about Damien Martyn
@@White742 ever seen South African team: de kock, amla, du plesis, de Villiers, Duminy, Miller etc.
Never forget Michael Bevan epic finisher before dhoni
Don’t forget Michael Hussey and symonds , symonds saved Aus in test and vs pak in 2003 World Cup
Wow, the dominant eye theory was 'eye' opening ! ;)
Nithin lakshmanan you will get an invoice now.
He is amazing personalty
I dint see tat coming...
Get out
Haydan spoke about cricket with so much of philosophy and depth. He comes across as a well rounded and balanced personality .
lol. there are many more than that. even farmers in India are more deep than that. not boasting must telling. that's india.
@@tejasbhagat4444 that's why Australia has more wc's and icc trophies than india,🤡🤡
This guy the way he lives and spends time ..
Has achieved nirvana
I never knew that Hayden was such a great guy!
Explains his character while batting.
It seems gaurav only gets to eat when he's doing the show lol
he has diabetes
@@endobronchial 😳

Aussies are opposite in nature off field
This man was literally a nightmare for 90's kids like us, bosdk boht pelta tha humaari team ko, more than any other Kangaroo Batsman.
True bro..true...hayden-gilly dangerous opening pair.
Uske baad Pointing 🙏
Hahahahahah
😂
Vs India different high this guy had 😂
After seeing all episodes I think
Foreign players are more humble and simple than our Indian players..
Er.S Samal well when it comes to Indian players that dosti yaari thing comes up for obvious reasons
Just that they never had to compete with crowd of 1billion to get that spot but still sachin ,dhoni they are very humble and many more
Indian players are not even good commpared to Aussie cricketers like Bradman Waugh warne McGrath Ponting hussey , real talent and success makes you humble , they also are more intelligent
i disagree. just watch the episodes of ganguly ,sachin, vvs. they are just icons of this sport !
Haan...ye ek average restro m aa gya....or India wale pta nhi kha le jate h
I already had lot of respect for Matthew Haydon..and with this interview it has quadrupled. He is a real legend. Thank you Gaurav for this wonderful interview.
I was in awe with Matthew Hayden back then!!!! Even had full cape poster of his 380 innings against Zim!!!
Somehow...the episodes with foreign cricketers are much more interesting and candid than the ones with Indian cricketers.
Usme actually dosti zyada hoti hain toh mazaak bhi zyada hota hain, isiliye shayad asli baatein reh jaati hain.
Virat Kohli episode changed that...
Watch the one with Nehra ji
That's bcoz indian cricketers r mostly formal haven't got anything to share they r just dumb guys talking stupid
Because the host have to worshipp Indian street cricketers while foreign cricketers talks geniune and real life
Haydos looks like a very focussed, spiritual and philosophical guy.a kind hearted giant.just love him
When you pick great Australian sides, you would pick Matthew Hayden as the number 1 choice as an opener. He loved batting and it showed in his statistics throughout his career.
Wow. This guy is amazing. And he lives in 400 acres property!
best video by far....never thought Hayden would be such a sweet person and an inspiration for everyone who play crciket...
Not a single dislike yet that defines Matthew Hayden .
He wasnt exactly a saint i think he is just playing to the gallery now
But i do respect him now
Cos i think he had a different persona on feild which i did not like which he created to intimidate opposition
robertjordan1980 well that's why it was exciting to watch cricket those days
DUH! the word sport also contains the word SPORTSMANSHIP ,hayden had none of it dude.the guy earns money from his indian connestions now hence the facade
The driver of the taxi is like STFU guys, let me concentrate
Did you say viagra ?? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😡
No vitality 😂😁
awesome episode as ever!...you might want to consider putting some inserts, like a video of their presence on field when they are explaining a situation :)
That Taxi Driver in the end - "Kidhar chalu saab"
Melted my heart.
@zada " where do you want me to drive you sir?"
A very analytical approach, observing ground atmosphere peoples voices even comparing bowls with food or various ingredients. amazing mind..
The so called brutal one had such a fine intellectual mind ..loved listening to him
That man at 2:32, though brutally murdered English, conveyed his message!

That was one philosophical ride, man! Look what meditation does to people! Lovely stories.
Thank you GK. You're doing something special here.
great cricketer and great human being!! 👍
For such an intimidating figure and an amazing talent, Matt Hayden is a very down to earth guy
The best episode of Breakfast with champions yet , what a great man !!

Get Harsha Bhogle :)
Yes it will be fun to pick his brains.
Bring harsh boggle
10 minutes in the show and his thoughts are blowing my mind away !
His theory about eye and how it is related to his strength is so brilliant. Top cricketers are scientists.
My favourite batsman of all time.
I thought he was an absolute run monster in 1st class cricket in Aust, from the moment he came on the scene and I knew he would succeed on the big stage, despite a rocky start.
Great watching him, just walking down the wicket and cracking it over mid on for six.
I love how many international cricketers reciprocate d love & warmth vch dey receive 4m d Indians😍😘
Haydos is such a gem of a person...a true champion
Brilliant insight by Matty Hayden! Loved his personality, no bs...just a straight shooter.
One of the most destructive and may I say greatest batsmen of all time..A fan favourite
i didn't know that "The brutal hayden" is just a simple " desi banda " from australia, such a splendid personality !!
Man man. I still remember the days when Hayden used to open for Australia. He was a nightmare to the bowlers. I used to hate him as much as I love him now.
Truly a legend.
what a man Haydos. The current generation of yougsters may not know about the aura you had. I never got to see Viv Richards but when we saw you , I could imagine how he could be. IPL was such a good forum and it brought likes of Hayden , Fleming etc to CSK . became a CSK fan for life because of you
Afterall everyone is just flesh, blood and bone,
What makes us different is the will power, mental strength, crave to win courage, ability to take risk and you name it...
That what i learned from the talk with mr.hayden
The dominant eye procedure - mind=blown!! Awesome episode! almost as if didn't want the episode to end. Loved how Haydos kept explaining things - Absolute gold stuff this!
Hayden is philosophical man ! Dope !!
2:28 "kids don't do this at home!". Well we don't have traffic in our home
hyden is great !!!!
it is so sad to see these legends growing old,I grew up watching them:(
u will grow old one day too. nothing new there.
Hayden at 6'2" is taller than Gaurav who claims to be 6'3".lol
What's your problem with that. He can be taller camera angles can be deceptive
Hayden also 6’3
Which angle did you see it from buddy Gaurav looks taller and is taller than Haydos 👍👍👍
Such a nice and kind soft-spoken gentleman. Can't believe he was the same person who was so aggressive and fiercely competitive on the cricket field.
This is one of the most interesting episode. Like he said we always saw him as an angry dog, great to see the real side of him. Respect!
Did you hired A new Intern In Editing.
Because believe me the symphony that was added at 9:26 was out of the blue could have been much better.
Rest Was just BAHUT BADIYA..
Awesome episode Gaurav 👍👍. I wish these episodes were longer.... ☹️
rohit sarkar yes man absolutely 20 minutes just feel like 5 minutes on this show
absolutely
Ms dhoni interview please
He is coming
Hayden just won my heart,,, he is so down to earth just opposite to his personality on ground. The best episode so far 💕
these need to be longer!! 15 mins in and it's about to end..
Hated the persistent honking in background. .great show though !
this show deserves prime time...... its delicious....umm...
Take an ola cab or an Uber .... He isn't comfortable...
Would love to see share Warne... The champion
Watching this after he got appointed as Pakistan's batting coach 😤
Watching Mathew Hayden as a teenager just meant dominance! That imposing physique along with those thundering shots! There great players in that Australian team but I always personally felt India can only win if they got him.
1) Hayden
2) Gilchrist
3) Ponting
Nightmare for bowlers.
When Corona wasn't a thing. Imagine someone eating from your plate today.
Hayden is a real gentleman. Never complained about the taxi ride, never complained about the non AC restaurant.
Get Rahul Dravid...
big man hayden big shoulders in tvs cup 2003 he smashed bowlers out of park i cried whenever he smashed indian bowlers but i m big fan of him ur superstar hayden
One of my favourite cricketer but I never like him in his playing days because of his record against India
one of the best cricketers no doubt but even better as a person ! thanks gaurav for getting us haydos !
Would love to see 45-60 min episodes
I loved haydos each time even against us sometimes his burning desire to be the best was one thing which i found most remarkable in him.Haydos is in my all time 11 of whom i hv watched.
This has to be one of the best interview! just an amazing and inspiring personality Hayden is .amazed
Fucking tank-like biceps @15:19. Haydos could destroy you like that.. that Aussie team was something!
I thought you were gonna ask him about the mangoose bat, GK?
At 13:32 "Just living the dream, brother" . Those are deep words. Actually the whole conversation is on an another plane. This man has a philosophy of his own.
You could hav askd a lot more questions about his career. It was so interesting
He is such a monk of a person. The way he narrates stories of his life, past and childhood and his living takes me to all those time he has spent in the farms and in the fields. Never been to Australia and specially Queensland but definitely wish to go someday!
One of the most insightful things I have heard from a sportsman. No wonder they were a great team.
Great Man. Almost like a wall
Gaurav plz dude get Mr dhoni n Mr Dev plzzzzzzz I have been saying this everytime n I will still pray for you that there is no paratha coming soon on ur head 😜
One of the very few outside batsmen showed how to play spin bowling in India...his sweep shot cannot be forgotten till cricket exist..great batsmen
Who else did the "dominant eye" exercise?it was fun🤓 and I was just like 'Wow'
I seem to be right eye dominant.how abt u?
Thank thank you man for getting this humble kind giant beast on your show such a nice and positive guy
Haydon has an amazing personality, I had seen playing live in Nehru Stadium, Pune where he had hit six off Zaheer's bowling, that sweet noise of his bat I can still recall like it was yesterday. He and McGrath both were playing and they are taller than most of the other players around him so I could see them both in the whole crowd 😂
bring dhoni obviously
"The car would just hit you and break"😂
Bring MsD and Dada on your show plz
