- Imagine serving a life sentence for a crime you never committed, years later your own daughter confesses to falsely accusing you and insists that she was coerced by the mother to do so.
Tonight we bring you the story of one Julius Wambua who has already served 10 years at the Kamiti maximum prison and after the chilling confession from his daughter, he hopes that the journey of being a free man has begun. Jail is not a pleasant place, to be jailed for a crime you did not commit is heartbreaking. My mother taught me to pray for those in prisons especially the ones jailed for the crimes they did not commit. Let us keep on praying for more like him.

Unfortunately this Kenyan colonial laws have no room for release or appeal I heard a lawyer on citizen saying there is no hope for him especially because his daughter was minor

This is how courts are rotten in Kenya. You try to prove your innocence but the judges dont give you any time to explain yourself. That judge should be exposed

there was no evidence to prove his innocence. There is no justice at times in court it is just the proving whether one is innocent or guilty.
Our Judicial system is a joke. Why blatant stealing of resources are not convicted and innocent people are in prison

The whole purpose of the justice system is to prove someone committed a crime, not proving that someone didn't commit a crime

In this case lies were told and his word may have been his only evidence plus we are working with human beings they have to evaluate what they are told they can't discern to know the truth. They have to weigh the information brought to them to prove innocence or if one is guilty

Rose Kimani in court all you need is evidence.The worst cases to prove your innocence even with the best lawyer is framed crime unless the person who framed you didn't have it well calculated.
