    Complementing Sombra's tip, you also don't want to place your tp on top of the health packs most of the time for a couple of reasons:
    1. If it's an accessible pack where fights usually take place, enemy players would try to use it and find your tp, destroying it or camping it
    2. Placing your tp in the high ground allows you to either drop down to take the pack or stay up there depending on the situation. You give yourself more options

    btw a tip on zen
    don't play like a flank most of the time so flanking is a surprise
    be a healer ,be a pealer
    and remember :if the dps ask you to swap ,tell them to stop running away from you or dodging you heals (breaking line of sight)

    the thing about not using healing as much with lucio is that usually your other support won't be able to get enough healing done for the team to stay alive, for various reasons. i get opting for using mainly speed amp in higher ranks, but for the average player that will just end really badly.

    • @ASimpleInternetUser
      @ASimpleInternetUser Год назад +2

      While I partially agree with this statement, I'd like to refer to @Not Applicable's comment:
      "Since you didn't mention it about Lucio but I think it's probably the most important thing to know about him, his healing isn't constant relative to being in healing vs speed boost. If you're on speed, switch to healing and then back to speed as fast as it will let you, you and your allies still receive healing for a few seconds. This allows you to maximize the uptime on your speed boost while still healing."
      It's all about managing the "when," but still spending most of your time on speed throughout the total match; not necessary within that moment of a fight. There will certainly be times (especially at lower rank) when you need more healing to clutch a team fight. Even then, it can still help to quickly speed tap, then back to heals to maintain unpredictable movement.

      It absolutely does not heal your teammates after switching auras... this is misinformation. The "lasting effect of the aura" only applies to players that were in his aura that have just moved out of his aura. Teammates that move outside of his heal/speed aura see the aura effect last for ~1sec after they leave.
      The main reason you see upper level Lucio players switch between speed vs heal is it makes him harder to hit. Very hard for a person to track Lucio if his speed changes unpredictably. DO NOT do this if you lower rank, and you are with your team trying to get picks at the start of the fight, as it will screw up your DPS's aim and your team will lose the fight. Another reason you see him switch frequently is that switching to speed boost will give you a slight boost in speed, which directly translates to reaching maximum wallride speed very quickly. Getting to the wall so you can start wallriding as quickly as possible is the best possible way to stay alive (provided you aren't already on the wall).

  • @SilentRyd
    @SilentRyd Год назад +84

    To add to genii tip: for controller players higher sensitivity is best but if you feel it’s too much try to work around the 40s sensitivity as a start and manage your placement in fights. Knowing other heros cool downs and estimating when counter genji enemy ults are available will improve your overall performance. Use dash not only for kills but for escape/movement. The dash resets when you get a kill and when you ult. I recommend aim arena to practice against pharah and echo. It’s always funny seeing players switching to those hero’s and have a pikachu confuse face on their end.

    The most important tip is that it is important to not be a one trick. This is still a game where counterpicking is king, and I feel like that is lost on a lot of new players. If the enemy team has an Ana that has been shutting you down the whole game, maybe now is a good time to switch off the Roadhog.

    I used to play overwatch a lot and mained lucio. The best timing in battle for the healing would be if you or any one of your teammates would just hit red. Other than that, the speed is needed. And use your blast back to disposition an enemy that is shooting at your teammates, not just for pushing them off ledges.

    As someone who enjoy playing Genji, I'm sure someone has put this tip in the comments somewhere, but something I keep messing up on is the dash resets every time you get kills, particularly when you're ulting. I feel like a lot of times I fail to get good blades (or kill combos in general) because I end up dashing into nothing and wasting the dash immediately after getting a kill, so just be mindful of those and be sure to know when you're using it! Wasting a dash can cause targets to get away from you quickly since you've lost your biggest mobility move.

      It's a great video for newcomers. I like his style and pacing in this video. But there is absolutely nothing new and even some false advices for us old-guards. E.g. that's not at all how one should be playing Reinhardt. This isn't OW1 anymore. Shield is primarily for yourself, not for your team mates to hide behind. YOU should be the one being aggressive and dealing as much damage as possible. If you play Rein defensively in OW2 you have already lost the game.

  • @Angel-zh5kn

    For mercy, your movement and positioning are your top bet if you're looking to stay alive longer. You should be positioning accordingly depending on enemy dps and tank, whether its up on high ground or behind cover majority of the time. Try to look for cover even within valk, my favorite being behind roofs if you need to be up in the air. As for movement, minimalize your jumping and instead use a mix left and right crouches, especially if the enemy team has hitscan characters. Your rezzes should always be behind cover, or if the rez is in a more riskier position with no cover around it try have your tank cover for you quickly; always have your team push up with you for rezzes, unless you're 100% sure the enemy aren't around. Value your life instead of others, mainly because most ow2 charcters have some sort of mobility to get back to the fight quicker than mercy. For me personally, I usually rez my other support unless the other teammate has an ult that will win us the fight in situations where I have to choose between 2+ teammates.
    Dmg boost should be your main beam, even if your allies need a little bit of healing. Dmg boost enables them to kill the enemy faster, so use your beams wisely. The biggest tip is to watch what the enemy is using, for example if your friendly genji is fighting the enemy zarya you'd dmg boost your genji when they're doing dmg and heal when the enemy zarya has her bubble up.
    These are just small tips where overtime you'd see improvement.

    I'm a new player and I've been basically forced to play support because of role queue challenges and extra xp from all roles queueing. So I tried a few different supports and landed on zenyatta.
    He just feels really good to play as, I've gotten play of the game a few times, kicker a tank into a hole on a capture point map and gotten fairly high kill streaks (6-7). I know he's a healler and I do that too, but when properly thought out he has huge offensive pressure, enemies have to avoid being seen by you or just rush you and make themselves an easy target.

    with Mercy, if the opposing team doesnt have a bunch of accurate hitscan then in a teamfight you can use her ability to fly towards another teammate, then press the button to fly upwards at the end of a glide, and force your foes to choose between aiming up at you (leaving your team unharmed) or aiming at your team (leaving you unharmed).
    Using that manoeuvre can also get you a lot of mobility to reach high ledges, even if your team are all on ground level.
    I think the button to do it is crouch, but it's what that bar to the right of the crosshair represents. When you've glided far enough towards a teammate that it's almost full, you can get some serious height out of the ability. ^_^

    as a widow main
    another tip for her is always keeping your crosshair head level when your aiming it makes it much faster and easier to hit head shots for example if your holding a corner shot and dont know yet if someone will pop out if you aim where heads most likely to be youll have a better chance of getting the kill

    i wasnt a fan of cassidy with his stun because it wasnt nearly as fun as he is now, but my biggest thing with him in ow2 is flanking a tank, using alt fire and dodge roll to reload it quickly to follow up with another burst. ive gotten really consistent kills on tanks with that combo

    Aspiring tracer here, I have found one caveat with the reaper fade blip... If you're in a losing fuel with a character who has hitscan weapons that out damage you, just use fade to get out, YES I might have missed my pulse bomb, but I STILL have the ability to 2 clip you without being hit by a single pellet
