DÜSSELDORF Medienhafen (Media harbor)

Aufgrund der Privatisierung der Rundfunkanstalten florierten Anfang der Neunziger Jahre viele Unternehmen der Medienwirtschaft. Viele davon siedelten sich in der Zeit am Düsseldorfer Hafen an. 1998/99 entstand dabei auch der Gebäudekomplex „Der neue Zollhof" von dem Architekten Frank Gehry, die zum Aushängeschild des nun benannten Medienhafens wurden. Das Gebiet um den Hafen wurde mit der Zeit aber auch immer mehr für andere Branchen interessant, so das hier mittlerweile über 600 Unternehmen residieren. Am Interessantesten sind aber die Architektonischen Meisterwerke, wie das gerade frisch erbaute „Hyatts"-Hotel oder das Roggendorf-Haus mit den „Flossis"der Künstlerin „rosalie"
Due to the privatization of the broadcasting companies in the early nineties, prospered many companies in the media industry. Many of them settled in the time at the Düsseldorf harbor. 1998/99, there was also the complex "New Zollhof" by architect Frank Gehry, which would be the flagship of the now named media harbor. The area around the harbor was also always more interesting with time for other industries, so that now reside more than 600 companies here. But the most interesting are the architectural masterpieces such as this recently built "Hyatt" hotel or the Rye Village house with the "Flossis" from the artist "rosalie"

At 0:13 looks like running water,interesting. At 0:30 a good view of the building. At 1:36 beyond words. Some of the most interesting architectural designs. I've ever seen. Love the music that went with the video. Went so well together. Thanks for sharing.

Ich war auch schon ein paar mal dort :-) In den letzten Jahren hat sich aber vieles verändert .Damals gab es dort direkt am Rhein so eine kleinen Bach wo man chillen konnte mit einem leckeren Coctail :-)
