Three of my best friends are living in the UK, but none of them have the responsibility of sending money back home. Despite that, they're barely getting by, living paycheck to paycheck. To be honest, they seem quite disappointed. There are jobs available, but you have to grind hard, often working two or three jobs just to make ends meet. You can go to bars, beaches, and enjoy life, but only after working yourself to exhaustion. On an average my friends are Working 70 hours a week, earning around £1,400 to £1,600 a month. I know for a fact that they would do almost anything for permanent residency, and one of them is even considering marriage for that purpose.
In my case, I work in IT, and I've worked very hard to get where I am. For me, the risk of moving abroad is too high. My family depends on me, so although I was initially planning to take the same route, I decided against it. I would lose everything trying to apply for jobs that might get me to Europe on a work visa.
