@@DennepeerRelaxation Well, let's hope you'll end up truly capable of appreciating it's sheer genius. The entire first playthrough of the game is not indicative of the long-term commitment to it. I've already played more then 160 hours of it on Steam with barely any care in stopping. Compared to The Wonderful 101 Devil May Cry 5 is like a soulless unoriginal borefest of an action game.
The mind-altering music, the thrust of the idealistic heroic story, the energetic cutscenes, the memorable allies and enemies, the constant juggling of vistas, the demand for the player to use team's abilities for both battling new types of regular enemies and solving environmental puzzles !
And all of that wrapped into a *GROUNDBREAKING* idea that constantly plays with "mass", "size" and "quantity".
Abso-lutely amazing.

Swimology get the game is really fun I enjoy it I even stop playing Fire Emblem Three Houses I got addicted to ASTRAL CHAIN I give this game a 9 out of 10 well it is 9 out of 10 on IGN

fighting is like dmc in a way, but varies when you have a certain legion out, then they add other elements instead of just combat. its honestly 1 of my favorite switch games, i think its worth it but as the saying goes to each their own

My most favorite thing about the 30 FPS complaint is that Automata did the exact same thing and not a single soul came out of the woodwork to say a thing about it unless it came with some sort of positive about the game. Sometimes a negative.
But really, even Bloodborne performed worse than this in terms of framerate.

I really like how you moved around a bunch in this video, the regular changes of setting made it feel like you were taking us around your house showing us the game.
It's a really cool style I feel like I haven't seen you do before... Really helped the pacing of the video and made for a unique style that caught my eye for some reason.

Actually bought a switch just for this game aha! But I don't regret it, was actually planning on getting a switch sooner or later and I'm REALLY glad this was my first game for it! 😊 Also subscribed! Really loved the video! Was entertaining to watch all the way through! 😊
I bought it physical on Sunday but haven't been able to play yet. My 4 y/o is obsessed with Gunman Clive so most of the time I dock the Switch he's asking to "play the cowboy game."

4 year olds are good at that lucky for us we got little miss a tablet last year and now she doesn't bug us to play the games and she has her own tv in her room

This game is absolutely amazing! It completely sets a brand new bar for mission-based action titles, anime-style or otherwise - as much as I'm looking forward to Bayo 3, it's got some large shoes to fill indeed (which...I suppose is Platinum's own fault isn't it? lol)

I put fire emblem to the side for this. I’m still gonna finish it, but I just needed a break from the grinding for a bit and enjoy some simpler action gaming. This game is a lot better than I was thinking. The start had me worried, but I quickly changed my opinion after a few missions.

I put in a little over 30 hours on Three Houses for my first playthrough, and now I'm on my second. It's so good that I have barely touched Astral Chain. Just too many good games back to back. Hard to give them all time at the moment.

If they ever make Astral Chain 2, I want the focus shifted towards Hal and Kyle. They were by far the best characters in the game.

I'm loving Astral Chain!!! I just purchased it 2 days ago! It does take a little bit to get use to the mechanics of the game. I love the combined notions of being a detective and Bayonetta together!! The music is amazing!!!
Every now and then, I pick up a game that I know almost nothing about. If I see a game that sparks my interest, I'll just look up what genre of game it is and that's it. Just will go into it mostly blind. I did that with Astral chain literally yesterday. I was actually already looking for a game with good combat, just something fun to play. Astral Chain has totally blown me away. It's just fun. I was afraid it was going to be a generic hack n slash type of game, like the type that doesn't really require any thinking and you just button mash your way to victory. And God damn am I glad I was wrong. It's so much more than that, and with each act it seems like more and more depth gets added to combat. I'm in love and am going to tell everyone I know who has a switch to get this game
I heard stories about Platinum actually asking Sony and Microsoft if they want to publish it, but both rejected flatout. So they moved with Nintendo. Now the rest of the world is mad because their favorite consoles do not have this game. I didn't bother to check if that's actually true as I honestly don't intend to become a consolewar fanboi. Still funny to think about lmao.
Actually, Nintendo asked Platinum to make this game. Big difference there, as it meant that Astral Chain was always intended to be a Nintendo IP.
I think you're thinking of Bayonette 2; that's the one that the others turned down but Nintendo said yes to.
I don't think Astral Chain shares that backstory in common, but I haven't looked into it, so I could be wrong.
Platinum ask Sony and Microsoft for Bayonnetta 2 not Astral Chain and we all know how it end up. No wonder why Platinum Game love working with Nintendo they kinda save one of their main franchise

I agree. The point o a silent protagonist is to allow the player to projet themselves onto the character, however it diminishes the amount of development that the protagonist can have. I would have much preferred if the game had branching dialogue options.

This game is my 2019 game of the year but the main thing that is making me mad is file 12 when you deal with some of the cases you have no idea what is happening because of the camera angle so I just started swinging and rolling and hoped for the best.

You have reached that level of RUclipsr for me where I can just leave your videos on and listen and feel better for no other reason that I have a good time actually watching your videos, so half listening to them while playing on my Switch has the same effect. If that makes sense. Sort of like when I want to put on something calming but not white noise.

After "patiently" waiting, more like hounding every Gamestop in my area and areas I travel for work to see if they have a used copy, I finally am picking up Astral Chain! Used Pro Member Price: $49.49, My Store Credit: $21.33, and My Coupon Redeeming Points for Used Product: $25. This all bringing my grand total to $3.16 plus tax! Thanks again for the review and honest take on the game. I hope the hype and excitement hits me just as hard as it has you....maybe I'll go buy some chains with all the money I saved....
