Reasons why I agree with Chickn: 1. Best English caster - Mirko 2. Better camera movement (in-game) 3. More special interactions (guests, pros, org members, etc.) 4. The league is more balanced. Can't blame Bren for being the strongest, but Indo teams have better chances to win. 5. The strongest (PH) player transfers to new teams change the dynamic of the team, giving individual players a brighter spotlight. Can't dispute it. Indo production is just better.

Their job is to come up with interesting scripts, stories or any content related stuff to boost their viewership. Gameplay is not their job (for whoever who wants to say MPL PH focus more on gameplay). - Since Season 8 till now, MPL PH average viewership drop from 182k to 96k. That's almost 50% loss. Meanwhile, MPL ID are able to maintain steady numbers of 450k average viewers. In Season 12, that number rose to 520k. - MPL ID are also able to maintain a decent amount of sponsorship because of their steady viewership. MPL PH number of sponsorship however are getting lesser because there's a chance these brands would not want to sponsor an event that has a decreasing amount of viewership. Sponsorship and viewership do go hand in hand. Acquiring sponsorship are also part of production role. Low sponsorship = lower budget/lower production quality. - Being the strongest region do have its advantages. However, MPL PH fail to capitalize on that leading to a drop of viewership.

For me, Chicken did nothing wrong he just expressed his opinion. Now, for that matter, regarding how MPL-PH is boring, it is kind of true, because c'mon guys, did you all expect the current TNC, Minana, or OMG to beat APBren, ECHO, RSG PH, Blacklist or Onic? Like you already know the match-up, regardless of the outcome, like 2-0 or 2-1. That's why it's getting a little stale, and in the context of Mirko, he said that there are some games that are stale like low tier teams or mid tier teams playing like when he skip to stream game 1 of MPL - PH because he already know the outcome regardless of the score and he was right 2-0 for the side of RSG against TNC. The end of the match segment is kind of cringe but bearable, or like the end of a game (Ex. Game 1 ended, and the talking on the fans segment) segment after the analyst or the casters do their thing and go to the hype girl like Mara and her Co-hype (forgot his name) that is where the cringe is and kind of boring most of the time. In summary, Chicken did nothing wrong, maybe in the delivery of his speech, or Mara just stirring some gossip. Either way, this is just drama out of pocket.

Great translation DJY! this vid is really meant for the PH fans like me for clarification on the misquoting done by the MPL PH production on their show. I really find it very odd why MPL PH production did that on their show. Probably a way to add spice or entertainment but not really in a good way. Don't hate on the casters and players, it's the production's fault. If you read on some of the comments you will see that some PH fans who understand the context of what chickn is saying sided with him and respected his opinion.
They are afraid that their mobile legends scene would be ruined by this statement while they are still holding their 'world title'. You know when this statement blows up and they are choosing to not taking it further, the attention might taken from them and slowly no one interested in watching their game. You know this scene really need big fans and audience to make it still as a 'selling scene' and become an annual competition. The difference between mpl Indo and mpl ph is the players in mpl Indo are good at individual skills and they often show it for mpl ph their game plays are usually dry and they just do what they need they don't make many mistakes. Mpl ph also uses mechanic but mpl ph is better when u analyst the match and check the strategies, mechanic and macro. As for me I like both but usually I watch mpl Indo but I analyst and watch pH too. In my opinion the main reason is mpl Indo players make many mistakes and show their micro which is more entertaining and for pH they don't make big mistakes and they usually fight in objective only

I don't know Fwyd personally or as a viewer, however his points especially the miscontexted ones makes sense. I would go beyond his point and say, it does get boring when certain teams play, because they're not in the running for Playoffs or let's say top 1 or 3. MPL PH also had an era of snowflakes which drived the viewers away, to watch Malaysia instead because EVERYTHING constituted to BM. After trying to bring it back this past seasons. It feels too scripted.

Whereas MPL PH focuses on literally winning the game. No excitement because we can actually predict the game even before it starts. - Production main role is to garner more audience through viewership or engagements.
Their job is to come up with interesting scripts, stories or any content related stuff to boost their viewership.
Gameplay is not their job (for whoever who wants to say MPL PH focus more on gameplay).
- Since Season 8 till now, MPL PH average viewership drop from 182k to 96k. That's almost 50% loss.
Meanwhile, MPL ID are able to maintain steady numbers of 450k average viewers. In Season 12, that number rose to 520k.
- MPL ID are also able to maintain a decent amount of sponsorship because of their steady viewership.
MPL PH number of sponsorship however are getting lesser because there's a chance these brands would not want to sponsor an event that has a decreasing amount of viewership.
Sponsorship and viewership do go hand in hand. Acquiring sponsorship are also part of production role.
Low sponsorship = lower budget/lower production quality.
- Being the strongest region do have its advantages. However, MPL PH fail to capitalize on that leading to a drop of viewership.

Im a Filipino and for me i watching MPL Indonesia than Ph because Indonesia have an intense crowd and the casters are Energetic when Team fight also same as Ph and also the time because mpl Id is so Intense I can't sleep without ending the mpl id

Now, for that matter, regarding how MPL-PH is boring, it is kind of true, because c'mon guys, did you all expect the current TNC, Minana, or OMG to beat APBren, ECHO, RSG PH, Blacklist or Onic? Like you already know the match-up, regardless of the outcome, like 2-0 or 2-1. That's why it's getting a little stale, and in the context of Mirko, he said that there are some games that are stale like low tier teams or mid tier teams playing like when he skip to stream game 1 of MPL - PH because he already know the outcome regardless of the score and he was right 2-0 for the side of RSG against TNC.
The end of the match segment is kind of cringe but bearable, or like the end of a game (Ex. Game 1 ended, and the talking on the fans segment) segment after the analyst or the casters do their thing and go to the hype girl like Mara and her Co-hype (forgot his name) that is where the cringe is and kind of boring most of the time.
In summary, Chicken did nothing wrong, maybe in the delivery of his speech, or Mara just stirring some gossip. Either way, this is just drama out of pocket.
Mpl ph production should write a public apology to Chickn. The damage this will do to his content and profile in ml is going to be unimaginable. This idea of manipulating chickns idea is just ridiculous.

Though here in India ML is banned we prefer watching MPL ID and NA. Yeah PH is a strong region but it's not enough to attract fans around the world you need entertainmet and some twist too. Like BTK lost against unknown team and GG 5 men lost against the goat meilow lol. And changing ign to Kairi kumar cause he know well that he has a huge fanbase in South Asia.

Indo players have more influence on Indian servers than ph. I have been playing ml since the game was released and even after the ban I play it. Whenever I feel bored I always switch VPN to indo lol. I have played with players from UAE, indo, Ph and even UK. But don't know why playing with Indonesia players make the game more funny. Don't know why but even random fights make me giggle. Lol

I really find it very odd why MPL PH production did that on their show. Probably a way to add spice or entertainment but not really in a good way. Don't hate on the casters and players, it's the production's fault. They are afraid that their mobile legends scene would be ruined by this statement while they are still holding their 'world title'. You know when this statement blows up and they are choosing to not taking it further, the attention might taken from them and slowly no one interested in watching their game. You know this scene really need big fans and audience to make it still as a 'selling scene' and become an annual competition. Well i guess it's a mistake of the PH Production of not taking this thing properly and just prevent it without calculating on every side reaction. But i'll guess we'll see how this is going between them.
The difference between mpl Indo and mpl ph is the players in mpl Indo are good at individual skills and they often show it for mpl ph their game plays are usually dry and they just do what they need they don't make many mistakes. Mpl ph also uses mechanic but mpl ph is better when u analyst the match and check the strategies, mechanic and macro. As for me I like both but usually I watch mpl Indo but I analyst and watch pH too. In my opinion the main reason is mpl Indo players make many mistakes and show their micro which is more entertaining and for pH they don't make big mistakes and they usually fight in objective only

I don't know Fwyd personally or as a viewer, however his points especially the miscontexted ones makes sense.
I would go beyond his point and say, it does get boring when certain teams play, because they're not in the running for Playoffs or let's say top 1 or 3.

Just discussing differences in production, it was discussed seriously with MPL PH, the anti-criticism team, MPL PH, and what's worse, MPL PH attacked personally when criticized, but instead of making amends, they attacked personally.

It is true tho. MPL ID is so much more fun than MPL PH. The gameplays are entertaining in terms on stealing buffs and lanings, the comebacks. Especially this season. A lot of ups and downs. Whereas MPL PH focuses on literally winning the game. No excitement because we can actually predict the game even before it starts. To be hurt by someone's honest opinion, to even twist someone's words, surely they haven't matured enough.
