I first became acquainted with Thoreau back in ‘69 when, as part of a high school summer reading assignment, I read “Walden.” It was the first book I ever read that actually made me *think.* The concluding chapter transported me to a realm of thought that I hadn’t known existed. I’ve reread it several times since then, as well as many other books and essays he wrote, and still consider him one of my literary mentors. Thank you for putting this video together.
