@ Benjamin Kobberdal libonati, The Extreme Pro will be a bit heftier feeling but more solid, powerful, spin-friendly, controllable and forgiving. The Pro Staff 97 will be easier to maneuver and slightly plusher feeling. Overall, we preferred this Extreme Pro. Andy, TW
IYO, why is this racquet not popular, I mean in the market. Its power and stability makes it easy to defend and find depth for beginners, yet great control when you unleash your moves for advanced players...I don't get it. I found the Kirschbaum P2 to be a great string for this one, 1.25 and 22/20 Kilos. I tried the cyclone (got vibrations and too much angle when i wanted to cross, and not enough control for my serve), the ultra cable (great in every aspect but used up too damn fast), the hyper g (ok but a bit stiff), the ashaway monogut ZX (less spin but ok),...
@ SuperSnorkelDuck, The Extreme Pro will be stiffer-feeling, more forgiving, more powerful and more spin-friendly while the DR 98 will be more comfortable, plusher feeling and more controllable. Andy, TW
hey Andy! So my dad is buying me a new racquet and I'm leaning towards this racquet and the pure drive tour. Which has more controlled power?which has more of a solid feel? And which do you personally prefer?thanks!
+kevin mendoza , I found that the Extreme Pro will offer more control but the Pure Drive Tour will be more powerful. They are both solid feeling racquets, but overall I prefer the Extreme Pro. Andy, TW
+Kareem Monzer , I found them to perform and feel pretty similarly. Both of them are very forgiving, powerful yet controllable and very spin-friendly. They both also offer a stiffer, crisper feel. I felt the Extreme Pro offered a little bit more control with less power and spin while the Pure Aero was a bit more powerful and spin-friendly. Andy, TW
Perhaps I'm not in the loop, but I thought Andy's preferred racquet was the Blade 98? It said for the play sight data that it was the ezone ai 98? I could be totally wrong (Andy could have changed racquets), or perhaps the video editor put Marco's data where Andy's should've been? Maybe. Let me know.
Anthony Comunale , I switched last year to the Yonex EZONE Ai 98. I still love the Blade, but I thought the Ai 98 offered similar control and feel with better spin potential and a more forgiving sweetspot. Andy, TW
Eddie Ramos-Kleinman , That's really going to come down more to personal preference. If you tried it and really liked it, I'd try to replicate whatever string job was in the racquet when you tried it. Andy, TW
Hi TW. Im looking for a new racquet. I need something with decent power and control. Ive narrowed my search Down to the pro staf 97 and this head racquet. Can you compare the two racquets for me? I am an all around 4.0 level player. I like touche shots, but altso BIG groundstrokes. I like to volly aswell.
How would you guys compare this to the Prince Classic Graphite 100? Could you perhaps do more comparison videos? Comparing this to the Mp A etc, or similar raquets from other brands? Awesome Reviews guys!!! Especially in terms of strings!!!
@ Johan Melander, This Extreme is much stiffer, more powerful and more spin-friendly while the Graphite 100 is softer, plusher and more control-oriented. Andy, TW
Many thanks for answering Andy!!! That sounds excellent!!! When you compare this Head to the Babolat Aero, are you referring to the 300 gram or the heavier one? Sorry for talking about grams, but not used to ounces. Last but not least. Do you prefer this to your Yonex Ezone DR 98? Why/Why not?
@ Johan Melander, I am referring to the standard 300g Pure Aero. I prefer my DR 98 over the Extreme because I feel it gives me a bit more comfort, control and feel. Andy, TW
Chris, I see you play tested the racquets I have my eyes on: PAT, PDT, and this one. Out of the three which one would you choose and why? Would the racquet you choose play well with full bed of multi, like the Gosen OG Sheep Micro 17? Thank you, sir!
+Will Chu I like both of those racquets very much. The Pure Drive Tour is going to offer a more open feel to it. I find it a tad more forgiving. The Pure Aero Tour is sharper edged in its response. However, the gap between the Drives and Aeros has narrowed with the intro of the Pure Aero range and its new more open string spacing. While the feel between the two is slightly different, I think you find the end results -- spin, power and accuracy -- will be pretty close with either. The Extreme Pro plays more similar to the PDT. I find it a tad faster to swing but not as solid and controllable. Hope that helps, Cheers, Chris.
+Xoan Riveira , As you heard, we enjoyed both the YT IG version and this most recent Graphene XT version. We found this most recent version to have slightly more power and stability at impact. If that's what you're looking for, then I'd recommend going for the newer model. Andy, TW
Hi Andy, I currently have the RF 97 and am struggling with spin, seem to be hitting them long a lot of the time. I'm thinking about changing racquet to the Wilson 98 18x20, Head Graphene XT Speed Pro or this racquet Graphene XT Extreme Pro, which would be most suitable. And the weight of the RF 97 is decent in my opinion so it isn't a weight issue... different strings may assist also. Would love to know your thoughts...
Barack Obama,, The Speed Pro and Extreme Pro would be good options for you. The Blade 98 is an awesome racquet but you're not going to find it any more spin-friendly than your RF97. Give those two Head racquets a demo and see what you think. Andy, TW
Hey andy i want to demo a couple raquets and i have a similar preference to what u look for in a stick, so i was wondering if u could make a demo of 4 including ur current ai 98 what other raquets would u include?
DomiPeSe , The Radical Pro will have a more solid, hefty feel while the Extreme will be crisper, stiffer and more modern feeling. The Extreme will be a bit more maneuverable and easy to swing. Andy, TW
Great review maybe best iv seen. I dont remember if they always have the strings used at the end but that was helpful. Because the raquet has a lot of power i actually put in a tension of 58 lbs (pounds) and it has been the best raquet for me but i did feel a bit of tightness all through my arm. I do a lot of gym as well so prrhaps the whole region was tight. Can anyone tell me the difference with the new head shape please?
The more round head shape of this Extreme Pro makes it slightly more spin friendly, and makes the sweet-spot slightly wider in the middle of the string-bed. The oval head shape of the current Extreme Pro, expands the sweet-spot slightly more toward the the tip of the frame, and some find it to feel a bit more precise. Troy, TW
I used the Microgel Extreme MP before this until my tennis bag was stolen. Before that I used the Wilson Ncode/K-factor 90s. Would the Graphene XT Extreme Pro be a good replacement for the Microgel Extreme MP?
@ slamandjam2, The Extreme Pro would be a good replacement, but so would the new Extreme MP. Give them both a demo and see which one feels best to you. Andy, TW
Hello Andy, it is true that babolat pure aero is more spin friendly???I thought the Head xt extreme pro is the most spin machine of all raquets. And please, you can do a comparison between xt extreme pro and babolat pure aero vs ,(spin and stability or other things)? And what type of string bed produce more spin 16/19 or 16/20(what are the differences)Thank you a lot,I HAVE TRUST IN YOUR ADVICE
@ Puia Radu, We found the Pure Aero and Extreme Pro to produce similar amounts of spin. Overall, the Extreme Pro is a bit stiffer/crisper feeling while the Pure Aero is a little softer feeling, but all in all they are very similar racquets. A 16x19 string pattern will generally produce more spin than 16x20 pattern, but that also will depend on a number of other factors - frame/beam design, head shape, weight, balance, etc. Andy, TW
I'm leaving the Pure Strike Tour and can't decide on this racquet or the Pure Aero Tour. What do I do? I like the control of the PS, but need more power.
+Tc Cooley , Demo them both and see which one feels best in your hands. They are pretty similar racquets that are just going to offer slightly different feels, so it would be pretty important to try them out and see what your personal preference is. Andy, TW
Hey TW, Just out of curiosity are you planning to make a video review of the new black code 4s? I hope so because I would like to see if the string is as good to the play testers as it is in the TW lab. With the highest spin potential of all the strings at TW I just hope it plays well in other aspects too.
Hi, sorry for so many questions but here i can't demo racquets. Between this and the standard pure drive what would be the most powerfull and the most easy to swing? What of this two you think is the best racquet in overall perfomance. Thanks!
@ esteban francisco izeta, The Pure Drive will be a little more powerful while the two are similarly maneuverable. It's really tough to say which one we liked better, as they are both great racquets with slightly different feels. Go with the Extreme Pro if you want more spin or go with the Pure Drive for more power. Andy, TW
I am not sure if i should pick this raquet or the radical. My current raquet is the 97ls. But i really need something that has a littele bit more weight. I altso would like some extra power. So i thought about buying the radical and then put a powerfull string in it. But this raquet seems to already have a lot of power. Can you compare the two raquets?
bklibonati , The Radical Pro will be a bit heftier feeling and more solid, offering better control. The Extreme will be more maneuverable, more powerful and more spin-friendly. Andy, TW
bklibonati , I was just going off my personal experiences with both racquets. The Extreme Pro is a little more head light as well, giving it a whippier feel. Andy, TW
+asianfromouterspace , They are pretty similar racquets to be honest! We found the Extreme Pro to offer a slightly crisper, stiffer feel with a bit more control while the Pure Drive is a little more comfortable and controllable. Demo them both and see how they feel in your hands. Andy, TW
Hey Andy! I currently using a head graphene speed pro 18x20 dense string pattern, and I was wondering how my game would be altered if I was to alternate to this 16x19 open string pattern frame?
@ KAiseR1072, You will get a bit more power, spin and forgiveness out of the more open string pattern, but it won't have quite the same level of control and feel that you're used to. Give it a try and see what kind of differences you notice! Andy, TW
Hey Andy, I'm currently deciding between this racket, the Aeropro Drive and the Pure Aero. I'm an open level player and have no problem generating my own power. I currently use the graphene Speed pro which gives me great control but I'm looking for something with just a little more power and and not sacrificing control too much. How do the 3 compare in your mind and experience? Any help and advice would be great! Thanks
+Richy May , All three are great racquets, so you're not going to go wrong with either. Ideally, I recommend demo'ing all three of them and seeing which one feels best in your hands. Of the bunch, the AeroPro Drive will offer the most control and least amount of power while the Pure Aero and Extreme Pro offers a bit more power and stability. All three will be very spin-friendly and offer a stiffer/crisper feel. Andy, TW
Hi Andy! 2 quick questions: Is Black Code 4S the exact same string as the former Black Code string? Would the new Extreme Pro be a good option for me if I'm willing to upgrade from my AeroPro to something a tad heftier/heaver? (I'm also doubting to playtest your current racquet, the AI 98, which is also a tiny bit heavier than my AeroPro.) Thx a lot! Glenn
Glenn De Block , This would be a great choice if you want to transition into something a little bit heavier than your AeroPro Drive. Black Code 4S is not the exact string as Black Code. It has a different profile to it (5 sided instead of 4) and has a little softer feel to it, especially for players with more "spinny" strokes. Andy, TW
@ Darren Chadakufa, They are both great racquets but I'd have to give the slight edge to the AeroPro Drive. I'd suggest watching the video reviews for both racquets to find out the subtle differences and more of our playtesters' opinions. Andy, TW
shadowfuryhk , I loved both versions and thought they were pretty similar. The Graphene XT is just slightly stiffer feeling but more solid whereas the YT IG is slightly plusher but not quite as stable. Andy, TW
Hey I'm looking to switch from this racquet to something with more control and maybe even a bit lighter. The only thing I'm worried about is being pushed around at the college level, any suggestions? I love that this racquet can switch from defense to offense in one swing. Thanks
@SquidChipProductions, Although not necessarily a lighter racquet, the Head Graphene XT Radical Pro is good option to help add a bit more control, while still having some decent power. A couple of other racquets that come to mind are the Wilson Blade 98 16x19, and Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19. Troy, TW
hi tenniswarehouse guys :) im hesitating between Prince txt tour 95 and this Head. Completely different but i'd string Prince with power strings and Head with control oriented poly. How would they compare then ito power, control & maneuverablilty? What would you recommend (ito fun and technical play?) :) Love to hear your opinion.
+Sjoerd van Loon , It's quite hard to know exactly how racquets would compare with two totally different string setups. That's really going to come down to personal experience, so experiment with both racquets and see how they feel to you. Andy, TW
Michael Delgado , We also offer the most extensive demo program in the business, so be sure to check out our demos as well. I'd also recommend trying the Babolat AeroPro Drive and Pure Drive along with the Yonex EZONE Ai 100. Andy, TW
@Sm Home What does he not like about the Speed Touch MP? Is it too heavy? Does he want something lighter? heavier? faster? Sounds like the new Blade with Countervail could be a good option. Michelle, TW
Hey Tennis Warehouse, i got this racket a few days ago and love it, its strung with a Solinco Tour Bi 25kg - 24 kg. Today during training i felt a pain in my elbow (the muscle). Never had this before. is there any elbow friendly string combination that you could reccommend for this particula racket? thank you :) i am a club level player mid 20
+vira lata, Tour Bite is a great string but it can be stiff and jarring on the arm. I'd suggest a softer polyester string like Volkl Cyclone or Double AR Diablo or lowering your tension a few pounds to reduce the stiffness of the stringbed. Andy, TW
@ Thales Castro, They feel pretty similar, but we found the Graphene XT version to be slightly stiffer and more powerful whereas the YT IG 2.0 is more comfortable and controllable. Andy, TW
oh, i loved the super comfortable and plush feel of the 2.0, so i guess i wont have the same experience with this one? is there any racquet which plays very similar and has the same plush feel of the ai 98 but has 100 headsize? thank you!!
To make things easier: Now i play with the AI 98 and love it. But i miss the 100 headsize my 2.0 used to give me. So i'm looking for something similar to the AI 98 in terms of power, control and plush feel, but with 100 headsize.
@ Thales Castro, It sounds like the Ai or DR 100 would be great ones for you to try! They will offer a similar feel to your Ai 98 but in the 100 square inch size. You can check our reviews of those two to hear the differences between them. Give them a demo and see what you think. Andy, TW
Cool! Thank you so much, Andy! Last two questions: Which string would you recommend for the AI or DR 98 to increase sweetspot and still feel plush? Do you think the Prince Warrior 100 could be a good option too?
@Fede Carmona, The grip shape is the same as the Speed and Instinct racquets. I believe it is labeled as TK82S. It is not the rectangular shape of the Prestige, and Radical. Troy, TW
The Extreme Pro will be stiffer/crisper feeling, more powerful and more forgiving. The Six.One 95S will be softer and more comfortable and more spin-friendly. Andy, TW
Hi guys im currently using a babolat aeropro team racket and I am looking to upgrade to add more powerful ground strokes to my game. Which racket would suit my aggressive playstyle the 2015 pure drive or the head racket in this review. Nice haircut andy btw:-)
@Elliott Thomas, The Babolat Pure Aero is one of the best options. You should also consider the Prince Phantom/Phantom Pro 100, and the Head Graphene Touch Instinct Adaptive (strung as 16x16). Troy, TW
@ Mitchal Hall, Like I mention in the video, I love them both! If pressed though, I'd have to give the slight edge to the older Youtek IG version because it is slightly softer feeling and more comfortable. Andy, TW
+Tennis Warehouse Hi Andy thanks for the quick response... in terms of power between the youtek ig extreme pro 2.0 and the graphene xt extreme pro model which is the best at generating power, and what is the most powerful racquet you have play tested (Wilson juice dosent count)
Mitchal Hall , The Graphene XT version will have more power. The most powerful racquets I can recall testing are the Dunlop Biomimetic F5.0 Tour and Babolat Pure Drive Tour Plus. Andy, TW
vs radical vs speed , Extreme more round shape/reduce opal elips for more spin even they have the same size 100 sq inch? how about Radical S vs Extreme S graphene 360 102 vs 100 sqr inch?
The Radical MP and Pro are 98 square inch headsize, so a bit more precision. The Speed MP and Pro are 100 square inch, having a bit more control, and feel compared to the Extreme MP but a bit easier power than the Radical MP or Pro. The Graphene 360 Radical S and Extreme S are pretty similar in weight, but the Radical is still designed for a bit more control even thought the head is a bit bigger and more forgiving, whereas the Extreme is designed for a bit easier power and spin. The older Extreme racquets had a more round head shape, whereas the newer versions are a bit more oval. Troy, TW
@BigRenz13, A natural gut/co-poly hybrid, is one of the best all-around performing string options. It is also a popular choice among top level tour professionals. A couple examples are, Wilson Champions Choice Hybrid, and Volkl V-Fuse Hybrid. With that said, there are many great string options that we sell, and there isn't a specific string that is designed for a player using a one-handed backhand. Troy, TW
Hi TW guys, I am wondering if Richard really uses this frame (see for instance: www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/sep/05/richard-gasquet-turns-on-the-style-to-beat-bernard-tomic-at-us-open#img-1). What do you think? Cheers, Edoardo
+Tennis Warehouse, Don't you think Richard's racquet head shape (see the pic I have linked in my first post) is significantly less "oval" and bit more "rectangular" than the one of the real extreme XT pro? I wonder if this is due to a problem with my sight or the string tension he uses in the crosses....
+Gonmaestro , They are basically the same racquet. The only difference is that the MP A has an exchangeable grommet system that allows you to change the string pattern of the racquet. If you have the MP A with the standard 16x19 string pattern, the performance will be the same. Andy, TW
@ Sanjay Gupta, This racquet is not the most arm-friendly option out there. It's also quite heavy so it isn't the most maneuverable either unless you are used to hefty racquets. The round head shape allows you to have a slightly larger "spin window", which allows you to go for a more aggressive low to high swing path without fear of mishitting. Andy, TW
@ Sanjay Gupta, The MP A version is a little lighter and has a more open string pattern, making it more powerful and spin-friendly. The Pro is heavier, more solid and stable and more controllable. Andy, TW
@ Fahad Janahi, They are actually very similar racquets. The APD will have a slightly softer feel whereas this Extreme Pro will have a little crisper feel, but other than that they are going to give you very similar performance. Andy, TW
Yes, the newer Extremes are a bit different in feel and head shape, with the newer ones being a bit more oval. I recently tried the new Tecnifibre TF-X1 300, and was pleasantly surprised how it felt, specifically how comfortable it played considering the stiffness rating, likely something to do with the handle dampening system. I also came off the court and thought that it reminded me of the older Head Extreme, with that similar head shape, and better control and feel compared to a racquet like the Pure Aero, but still easy power and spin. You would likely have to add some weight to get the specs closer to the "Pro" weight, but a nice one to consider. Troy, TW
Tommy Torence , This Extreme Pro will have a stiffer, crisper feel with more control while the IG Radical Pro will be plusher feeling and more powerful. Andy, TW
Tommy Torence , That really depends on your stroke style and personal preference. If you have shorter, slower strokes and don't break strings often, you may enjoy a nice multifilament like Tecnifibre NRG2 for more power, comfort and feel. If you have longer, faster strokes and can generate much of your own power, go with a nice polyester string like Head Sonic Pro Edge for more control, spin and durability. Andy, TW
this is probably the most underrated racquet on my market. even the most underrated head
2:49 Man, what a amazing point! You guys should totally realease more footage of Andy vs. Marco
Big fan of the new haircut Andy. Love it.
This racquet looks and sounds amazing to play with. Definitely going to demo this.
@ Benjamin Kobberdal libonati,
The Extreme Pro will be a bit heftier feeling but more solid, powerful, spin-friendly, controllable and forgiving. The Pro Staff 97 will be easier to maneuver and slightly plusher feeling. Overall, we preferred this Extreme Pro.
Andy, TW
Thanks a lot
This racquet is the bomb. Nearly perfect.
Top la raquette head très belle
@ agustin mascorr,
I recommend checking out the video above as we touch on the differences between the versions quite a bit.
Andy, TW
Between this and the old youtek ig extreme pro 2.0; can you give some comparisons?
Hey TW will it be easy for me to transist from the burn to the extreme or the radical?
@ SuperSnorkelDuck,
That's really going to come down to you, but the two racquets are similar so it should be an easy transition.

Hey Andy how the xt extreme pro and ezone dr 98 compare
@ SuperSnorkelDuck,
The Extreme Pro will be stiffer-feeling, more forgiving, more powerful and more spin-friendly while the DR 98 will be more comfortable, plusher feeling and more controllable.
Andy, TW
hey Andy does it have a feel like Wilson burn
@ SuperSnorkelDuck,
This does feel somewhat similar to a Wilson Burn.
Andy, TW

Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse Andy, I just demoed the Yonex Ai98 and loved it! Great feel and large sweetspot. Do you have any recommendations for stringing it?
Eddie Ramos-Kleinman ,
That's really going to come down more to personal preference. If you tried it and really liked it, I'd try to replicate whatever string job was in the racquet when you tried it.
Andy, TW

I'd go with the Ai 98, Wilson Blade 98 18x20, this Head Graphene XT Extreme Pro and the Babolat AeroPro Drive.
Andy, TW
Hello guys great job, can you compare this racquet to the head graphene radical pro. Thx

We just finished the playtest of it actually! Look for the review to be posted very soon.
Andy, TW
Hi, sorry for so many questions but here i can't demo racquets. Between this and the standard pure drive what would be the most powerfull and the most easy to swing? What of this two you think is the best racquet in overall perfomance. Thanks!
@ esteban francisco izeta,
The Pure Drive will be a little more powerful while the two are similarly maneuverable.
Can you compare the two raquets?
bklibonati ,
The Radical Pro will be a bit heftier feeling and more solid, offering better control. The Extreme will be more maneuverable, more powerful and more spin-friendly.
Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse
Thanks. How come the radical feel heftier when is not as heavy? Is it because of the headlight-balance?
bklibonati ,
I was just going off my personal experiences with both racquets. The Extreme Pro is a little more head light as well, giving it a whippier feel.
Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse
Thank u. I think i will be going with the Head Extreme. Can you recomend a control orinted multi?
bklibonati ,
I'd give Wilson NXT Control a try and see what you think.
Andy, TW
@tenniswarehouse
How does the Head Graphene XT Extreme Pro compare to the Babolat Pure Drive?
+asianfromouterspace ,
They are pretty similar racquets to be honest! We found the Extreme Pro to offer a slightly crisper, stiffer feel with a bit more control while the Pure Drive is a little more comfortable and controllable. Demo them both and see how they feel in your hands.
Andy, TW
Hi Tennis warehouse how do you compare this one to the previous version graphene extreme pro? I hit with the newer version and was very impressed!
I recommend checking out the video above as we touch on the differences between the versions quite a bit.
Andy, TW
Hey Andy! I currently using a head graphene speed pro 18x20 dense string pattern, and I was wondering how my game would be altered if I was to alternate to this 16x19 open string pattern frame?
@ KAiseR1072,
You will get a bit more power, spin and forgiveness out of the more open string pattern, but it won't have quite the same level of control and feel that you're used to. Give it a try and see what kind of differences you notice!
Andy, TW
Hey Andy - the specs of the Head Graphene Extreme Pro & the XT version are very similar - what's the difference in how they play?
+oluatutube ,
I thought this new XT version offered a little more control and a softer feel. I preferred it over the previous version.
Andy, TW
Hi Andy. Does this XT extreme pro has a square grip like the speeds or is it rectangular like the ig extreme pro 2.0? Thanks
+muster111 ,
It has the same grip pallet as the Graphene XT Speeds.
Thanks
+Richy May ,
All three are great racquets, so you're not going to go wrong with either.
Andy, TW
+Tennis Warehouse Thanks Andy, are there any other rackets you would recommend I try similar to the ones I've mentioned or similar to my speed pro?
Richy May ,
Those are three great ones to start. A couple others to try would be the Yonex EZONE DR 100 and Wilson Ultra 100.
Andy, TW
Hi Andy!
2 quick questions: Is Black Code 4S the exact same string as the former Black Code string? Would the new Extreme Pro be a good option for me if I'm willing to upgrade from my AeroPro to something a tad heftier/heaver? (I'm also doubting to playtest your current racquet, the AI 98, which is also a tiny bit heavier than my AeroPro.)
Thx a lot!
Glenn
Oh, when I say AeroPro, I mean the Nadal AeroPro Drive. :-)
Glenn De Block ,
This would be a great choice if you want to transition into something a little bit heavier than your AeroPro Drive. Black Code 4S is not the exact string as Black Code. It has a different profile to it (5 sided instead of 4) and has a little softer feel to it, especially for players with more "spinny" strokes.
Andy, TW
Cool background tune. What is it?
Daniel Burkhardt ,
It's just part of our stock music library.
Andy, TW
hey andy, near christmas time im buying tennis gear, i dont know which is better, babolat aeropro drive gt, or the head graphene xt extreme pro.
@ Darren Chadakufa,
They are both great racquets but I'd have to give the slight edge to the AeroPro Drive. I'd suggest watching the video reviews for both racquets to find out the subtle differences and more of our playtesters' opinions.
Andy, TW
Hi Andy, how does it compare to old youtek extreme pro 2.0?
shadowfuryhk ,
I loved both versions and thought they were pretty similar. The Graphene XT is just slightly stiffer feeling but more solid whereas the YT IG is slightly plusher but not quite as stable.
Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse Thanks andy!
Hey I'm looking to switch from this racquet to something with more control and maybe even a bit lighter. The only thing I'm worried about is being pushed around at the college level, any suggestions? I love that this racquet can switch from defense to offense in one swing. Thanks
@SquidChipProductions,
Although not necessarily a lighter racquet, the Head Graphene XT Radical Pro is good option to help add a bit more control, while still having some decent power. A couple of other racquets that come to mind are the Wilson Blade 98 16x19, and Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19.
Troy, TW
Thanks for the reply. I'll definitely be playtesting some soon!
@SquidChipProductions,
Good luck in the racquet search!
Troy, TW
TW, does this one have a little more muted feel compared to the Pure Drive Tour?
Roar Nicolaisen ,
Yes.
Andy, TW
hi tenniswarehouse guys :) im hesitating between Prince txt tour 95 and this Head. Completely different but i'd string Prince with power strings and Head with control oriented poly. How would they compare then ito power, control & maneuverablilty? What would you recommend (ito fun and technical play?) :) Love to hear your opinion.
+Sjoerd van Loon ,
It's quite hard to know exactly how racquets would compare with two totally different string setups. That's really going to come down to personal experience, so experiment with both racquets and see how they feel to you.
Andy, TW
What is a recommendation do you give for a heavy baseliner, and a offensive net player?
As of stability and speed of the actual swing
Which racquet is better: the Graphene Extreme Pro or the XT version? I heard good things about the previous model.
Matthew Tran ,
We preferred this latest version for its improved comfort and control.
Andy, TW
What are three rackets that play like this stick? I want to demo similar rackets from a local store before I order this racket.
Michael Delgado ,
We also offer the most extensive demo program in the business, so be sure to check out our demos as well. I'd also recommend trying the Babolat AeroPro Drive and Pure Drive along with the Yonex EZONE Ai 100.
Andy, TW
Is there going to be a xt radical soon
Tom Bradley ,
We have not heard any specific release dates for the Graphene XT Radical, but we are fairly certain it's in the works.
Andy, TW
What's a good racquet for my 12 year old son. He is currently using the Speed Touch Mp and is looking for a really good racquet.
@Sm Home
What does he not like about the Speed Touch MP? Is it too heavy? Does he want something lighter? heavier? faster? Sounds like the new Blade with Countervail could be a good option.
Michelle, TW
Hey Tennis Warehouse, i got this racket a few days ago and love it, its strung with a Solinco Tour Bi 25kg - 24 kg. Today during training i felt a pain in my elbow (the muscle). Never had this before. is there any elbow friendly string combination that you could reccommend for this particula racket? thank you :) i am a club level player mid 20
+vira lata,
Tour Bite is a great string but it can be stiff and jarring on the arm. I'd suggest a softer polyester string like Volkl Cyclone or Double AR Diablo or lowering your tension a few pounds to reduce the stiffness of the stringbed.
Andy, TW
+Tennis Warehouse Thank you very much Andy!
Better?
Endorphinooos yes it is more arm friendly with the recommended setup. it still was hurting somehow. I switched to Yonex Ezone DR98 and be happy :)
Which overgrip was used in this playtest, Andy?
+Qamber Hassnain ,
We were using Tourna Grip.
Andy, TW
I used to play with the 2.0 version of this racquet and loved it. How does this one compare to the 2.0 version?
@ Thales Castro,
They feel pretty similar, but we found the Graphene XT version to be slightly stiffer and more powerful whereas the YT IG 2.0 is more comfortable and controllable.
Andy, TW
oh, i loved the super comfortable and plush feel of the 2.0, so i guess i wont have the same experience with this one? is there any racquet which plays very similar and has the same plush feel of the ai 98 but has 100 headsize? thank you!!
To make things easier: Now i play with the AI 98 and love it. But i miss the 100 headsize my 2.0 used to give me. So i'm looking for something similar to the AI 98 in terms of power, control and plush feel, but with 100 headsize.
@ Thales Castro,
It sounds like the Ai or DR 100 would be great ones for you to try!
The grip shape...is rectangular classic head shape or the new TK82S?
@Fede Carmona,
The grip shape is the same as the Speed and Instinct racquets. I believe it is labeled as TK82S. It is not the rectangular shape of the Prestige, and Radical.
Troy, TW
Was the Tecnifibre Black Code 4S String the 16 or 17 version?
We were using the 17 gauge.
Andy, TW
Cheers
How does this racket compare with Wilson Six.One 95S?
The Extreme Pro will be stiffer/crisper feeling, more powerful and more forgiving. The Six.One 95S will be softer and more comfortable and more spin-friendly.
Andy, TW
Thank you so much!
How does this compare tothe Babolat Pure Drive Tour?
ItsMrFaceless ,
The Extreme Pro will be a bit more maneuverable, controllable and comfortable than the Pure Drive Tour.
Andy, TW
Hi guys im currently using a babolat aeropro team racket and I am looking to upgrade to add more powerful ground strokes to my game. Which racket would suit my aggressive playstyle the 2015 pure drive or the head racket in this review. Nice haircut andy btw:-)
bouncer boy ,
Both of those would be great along with the heavier version of your racquet, the AeroPro Drive.
Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse ok thanks Andy
G'day tennis warehouse, what's your pick of the two. The extreme mpa? Or the pro?
Lindsay Adcock ,
Overall we preferred the Pro for its more solid feel and better blend of power, control, spin and feel.
Andy, TW
Does it have more spin and power than the new Pure Aero , or the old Aero Pro Drive GT ?
@Elliott Thomas,
Pretty similar to the AeroPro Drive. The Pure Aero is a bit more spin friendly.
Troy, TW
What would you recommend as the most spin friendly racquet ? But not a Wilson spin racquet, they break too often :/
@Elliott Thomas,
The Babolat Pure Aero is one of the best options. You should also consider the Prince Phantom/Phantom Pro 100, and the Head Graphene Touch Instinct Adaptive (strung as 16x16).
Troy, TW
Hey andy which one do you prefer the Head graphene txt extreme or the head youtek ig extreme pro 2.0
@ Mitchal Hall,
Like I mention in the video, I love them both!
Mitchal Hall ,
The Graphene XT version will have more power.
Troy, TW
Guys, what string would you recommend going for a one handed back handed experienced player?
@BigRenz13,
A natural gut/co-poly hybrid, is one of the best all-around performing string options.
Cheers,
Edoardo
+Edoardo Artioli ,
This is the racquet that Richard Gasquet endorses.
Andy, TW
+Tennis Warehouse,
Don't you think Richard's racquet head shape (see the pic I have linked in my first post) is significantly less "oval" and bit more "rectangular" than the one of the real extreme XT pro? I wonder if this is due to a problem with my sight or the string tension he uses in the crosses....
+Edoardo Artioli You are right, that's not the Extreme pro.
I can get this racket for $83 should i buy it
what string and tension you guys use
@buck3103,
We mention it at the end of the video. Tecnifibre Black Code 4S, at 53 pounds.
Troy, TW
Which one do you prefer Head extremt mp or Head extremt mpa?
+Gonmaestro ,
They are basically the same racquet. The only difference is that the MP A has an exchangeable grommet system that allows you to change the string pattern of the racquet. If you have the MP A with the standard 16x19 string pattern, the performance will be the same.
Andy, TW
is it arm friendly n manueverable? what does the round shape actually do to the game?
@ Sanjay Gupta,
This racquet is not the most arm-friendly option out there. It's also quite heavy so it isn't the most maneuverable either unless you are used to hefty racquets. The round head shape allows you to have a slightly larger "spin window", which allows you to go for a more aggressive low to high swing path without fear of mishitting.
Andy, TW
how does it differentiate from MP A version?
@ Sanjay Gupta,
The MP A version is a little lighter and has a more open string pattern, making it more powerful and spin-friendly. The Pro is heavier, more solid and stable and more controllable.
Andy, TW
would you compare this racquet to aero drive
@ Fahad Janahi,
They are actually very similar racquets. The APD will have a slightly softer feel whereas this Extreme Pro will have a little crisper feel, but other than that they are going to give you very similar performance.
Andy, TW
Love this racquet just a bit to stiff. Newer ones don’t have same feel.
Troy, TW
how does it compare to the ig radical pro?
Tommy Torence ,
This Extreme Pro will have a stiffer, crisper feel with more control while the IG Radical Pro will be plusher feeling and more powerful.
Andy, TW
what string and tension would you recommend if im looking for some added control but still some power and comfort?
Tommy Torence ,
That really depends on your stroke style and personal preference.
Andy, TW
Can O use this racquet? I'm 13 now
Thanks!
Huy Nguyễn Thế ,
You could certainly try it, but you may find it a bit too heavy for you.
Andy, TW
Tennis Warehouse so can i play what racket? my playing style is all-court player (mostly is aggressive baseliner)
Thanks!
Didn't like it, not good racket
