There's only been three? matches under Hayes and already you can see more cohesion and the younger generation playing with pace. They are definitely heading back to winning ways. Now I have to see if our Lionesses can retain the Euro title. Spain team to beat.

Rodman and Smith need to be primary starters Period. No goals scored but the opportunities they created with their speed and skill was excellent! Love those two

Lots of replays are nice during the live broadcast when there is some dead time, but on a highlights reel we don't need 3 repeats of the same miss.
CR goalie had some good reaction saves but flubbed on the basics when she had time to think.
USA looks dangerous right up until someone needs to put it into the net. I think their dynamism is fooling both teams; the defense is surprised by those great passes but so are the attackers. The through pass at 3:55 was beautiful and deserved to be rewarded, but Horan put herself in the wrong spot to take advantage. That should be fixable, but they need to hurry.
Based on highlights Costa Rica played classical defence block. To break it is always tough.
Not just Bermudez, but that back line for CRC was excellent in stifling the American side. This is a huge result for them, and I tip my hat. That said, they also needed lady luck's help to turn away so many chances.

Well done to Costa Rica and their goalie but ( I might get some hate for this) but I dont think Sophia Smith and Mallory Swanson are very good. Mallory used to be but every time they get the ball if they don't get 1 touch they miss. I expect it EVERY TIME
How the hell did Rodman, Horan, Smith nor Swanson end up with half a dozen goals. Felt really bad for the disallowed goal. Great game Ladies! Keep up the amazing work and please stay safe!

Damn! The U.S. couldn't put one away with all of those shots?! You can tell we don't have a proper striker. This time parking the bus worked for Costa Rica. Their keeper had some decent saves and some really sloppy saves, couldn't catch the ball to save her life.

This is a good picture of what the Olympics and World Cup will look like, teams stacking the defensive side to take USA to a tie in the group stage matches and hurting their chances to advance into the knockout stage. They need to find a way to breakdown a 10-11 person defense while not committing 9-10 players into the attack.

I'm hard on our ticas, it was disappointing to see yet another underwhelming performance. Yes it was against the US, but the whole time the mentality was "let's defend, grab a tie, and go home happy?" It was a friendly, get out there and stop defending, take chances, make individual plays that put you on the map, stop being so mediocre and attack! If you know you're playing the US as a friendly and you're gonna defend the whole time, then why bother playing a friendly against them? If this is the case, play a team that is around your level and stop pretending you're ready to square up to a team like the US.

Decent but nothing fell for the U.S even the offside goal was wrongly called. Yes it was offside but a foul at the top and advantage played by the ref. The advantage goes to the offside so no advantage. The correct application of the laws then is to bring it back for a penalty kick.

I was watching my nephew playing summer league this past weekend. He's 12. It's wild how much more talented, competitive and dynamic they are compared to "world class" women footballers.
