Bueno Mariona Caldentey jugó TODO el partido, y al minuto 88 todavía tiene energía para correr al lado de Salma Paralluelo y tiene la sangre fría para rematar perfectamente. Es un crack. Cuando esta en la cancha con España todo fluye mejor.

As an England fan, I really feel for Sweden as they tend to get so close winning but yet end up loosing. Anyway at least the players can have a proper rest like the England team and go again for the Euros.

I don't speak Spanish, but the sheer passion of the commentator was overwhelming. What a wonderful language! And that second half - one measly Swedish attack at the beginning of the half and then wave after wave after wave of Spanish attacks. This is how football should be played. Such passion. Such commitment. Totally deserving world champions. This puts the men's game to shame. I have to confess it brought tears to my eyes.

Apparently you missed the dreadful marking and defence by the Swedes that enabled the Spanish recovery. Only a handful of women's teams at the top of the international ranking provide anything that remotely approaches the league standard of men's professional football.
At the end I had tears in my eyes. And I'm Australian who cannot speak one word of Spanish! Well, maybe a few words - I am learning more. How much I love these Spanish girls. When Spain were behind 2-3, Aitana was on the pitch and she was smiling. Smiling! At 2-3 down! Why? Because she knew this Spanish team has the courage, determination, fighting spirit and skill to come back from there to win 5-3. She knew!
Not hard to see why Aitana was so confident of ultimate victory from the stats - Spain had 74% possession and far superior passes, pass accuracy, shots, shots on target. They dominated the game everywhere except on the scoreboard once Athenea opened the flood gates. And credit to Tomé for once for the changes she made from the bench, which changed the game completely.

The Spanish team played with so much gusto, with an indomitable spirit, beautiful and wonderful team.... Bravo 👏👏
They evolved. Less passive in getting physically bullied around by pushing back, more pressure, more direct in attacking and more aggression to their srsenal. Blending that with the tiki taka skills in dribbling, passing and movement on the ball, is good. Could potentially dominate like womens & mens USA basketball. Taking it on the chin, being down 3-1 and coming back 5-3, not much teams can do that.
Excellent play by Spain. 3rd n 5th goals are classical goal. Superb. Marvellous come back by Spain.

I agree, but the swedish defense lost it in the second half. That´s unusual to say the least. OK, Spain is good but NOT that good. FOUR goals on SWEDEN in the 2nd half !! When did any team do that ? Time for Sweden to make CHANGES !! After the matches this autumn Spain will be FIFA rank nr 1 and Sweden likely nr 4.
@@staffanlundberg the first half Sweden looked better than Spain, for sure. And then fell apart in the weirdest way to the Swedes.. But to my eyes they are clearly the 2 best teams... Half way though thinking, 'these have got to be the top 2' I went to look at the standings, and only then did I see they are actually rated as the top 2.

That 85th minute move initiated & finished by Eva as she cut into the centre from right wing aided by backheels from Fiamma & Salma was right out of the handbook of Brazil 1982. As if Falcao was cutting in with touches from Zico & Socrates. Unfortunately Eva messed up with the finishing. What a goal it could have been though!!!

Por fin vimos a La Roja Campeona del Mundo en casa. Ona, Mariona, Olga, Salma, Aitana,..pusieron La Rosaleda patas arriba, la afición enloqueció.
Espectacular. Valentía, lucha constante, equipo y cabeza: imbatibles. Me recuerda a tantas y tantas heroínas en la Historia de España que han sido Mega Ejemplo: María Pita, Inés Suárez, María "La Bailadora", Manuela Malasaña, Agustina de Aragón.... y tantas otras. Un Ejemplo de lo dicho: valentía, lucha constante y cabeza.
So England are out of the Olympics. Sweden and Italy will have to fight each other for the last place. That explains why Mary Earps was crying because she let in a soft goal against the Dutch - she knew it would make it a lot harder for England to qualify for the Olympics, and it has. Spain were already through - that loss to Italy was just a stupid mistake, a blip, but it makes no difference; they have a place in the Olympics already. This win against Sweden is just the icing on the cake - very sweet icing, and even more proof that Spain are the best team in the world. They have become even better since they won the World Cup (and got rid of certain people who I will refrain from naming here).
Without ENG the olympic games will not be the same.

Please don't ask me to explain - it has something to do with the United Kingdom being made up of four different countries, which the Olympics will not recognise as four different countries - they will only recognise one: the United Kingdom. They have successfully prevented any possible confusion by failing to qualify by a goal difference of one point below Holland, so they won't be there. And they won't play in the Women's Nations League finals (as England) because they haven't qualified for them either.

España es la selección femenina más fuerte del mundo y no sólo sobre el papel. Cada uno tiene una gran técnica individual, saben presionar, se encuentran de memoria, un gran regate en el centro del campo. Muy difícil robarle el balón. Me recuerda al gran Milan estelar de Van Basten - Gullit - Rijkaard - Ancelotti - Baresi etc. Creo que también ganará el Campeonato de Europa. Felicitaciones desde Italia.
A mi me recuerdan al tiki taka de la selecion española del 2008-2012.

I see domination of Spain for at least the next 12 years of women soccer. The only way to beat them is to shut down their passing game for 90 minutes and the only way to do it is constant pressure mark and avoid mistakes (giving the ball away); I don't see any team right now able to do it.

Aitana did it, when she came on, she change everything, spain played better i think i believe the players all were relax the moment she came on, cause they knew aitana can change the game, is why everyone in 2nd half played so well. Everyone connected perfectly.
Absolutely!! Her movement, skill, size and pace creates so much havoc for defenses, she creates an incredible amount of opportunity for her teammates to shine. Folks who disagree with you ( @GeorgioBD ) are primarily looking at pure goals or assists, without observing the "Salma's effect" - i.e. attracting 2+ defenders, or constantly occupying their attention. She's quite impressive to watch.

En el deporte de competicion cualquier error lo pagaras caro y mas con rivales de calibre. Los verdaderos campeones/as son los que nunca se dan por vencidos, se reubican y agotan todos sus recursos hasta el final. Esta claro que esta seleccion tiene mucho que decir, le pese a quien le pese y toda España deberia estar orgullosa, como de cualquier deportista que nos represente. Suecia fue un rival potente y solo aquellos/as con calidad y genio suficiente son capaces de hacer lo que nuestra Seleccion hizo. Gracias chicas por hacer que no me levantara del sofa para ver vuestro partido. Vamos!!!!!!!!. Por cierto, como cambia todo cuando sale Aitana al campo.

Aparte de que España jugó estupendamente la segunda parte, no hay que pasar por alto el despiste del inicio del partido ya que no siempre son posible las remontadas como les pasó el anterior partido.
Que orgullo ver que una miembro de mi familia como es Athenea haya abierto el marcador y así la selección Española ha podido iniciar una remontada historica. Enhorabuena a estas grandes jugadoras así como al cuerpo técnico.👏👏👏
