I met Sam 5 weeks ago in Melbourne when we had an Outlander convention. He is the legit deal. Very sweet and extremely funny. In fact I was in costume as Claire, and going to get my photo with him he called me 'Sassenach' so I jokingly called him "Foxcub" (Geillis Duncan's name for Jamie) and I died.....oh, and I even got to have a meet & greet drinks with him after the convention, we had bit of a chat & bonded briefly over our love for Mt Everest, as he's planning to go and I went back in 2005. So fun!
I met Sam about 6 years ago at the premier of the Outlander movie in NYC. I worked at the movie theater as a make artist and costume designer. The entire night, I saw all the stars in the movie come and go without any of them looking at me or saying hello to me, perhaps because of my color and the cheap uniform 1 had on. For 6 years, I have never forgotten the event that will follow the first few hours after I begun my shift at work that evening. Keanu walked up to me and asked me how I was doing!! I said to myself "are you really talking to me?" Believe it or not, he actually came up to me and showed compassion and care. That was the last thing I ever expected anyone to do that evening. He proceed to ask me about my job and where I come from. And I told him I was from Oregon and have been working at the theater for about a year. He chatted with me for about 5 mins but it felt like forever. He then gave me a hug I will never forget. He is truly a good human being. I don't usually leave comments on YT but this is to confirm this video. Sam is good

I just started watching Outlander for the first time a couple of weeks ago and just LOVE Sam on it. Him and Kelly would make a good couple! 😉 I actually watched Kelly's movie not too long ago. It's not as bad as she says it is, she did great for not being a regular actress.

It's a shame that after 10 years of excellent work as an actor, they still ask him such superficial and poor things.
